  • Hi everyone, this is the third and final parts of my review of Tides 2018 from Mutable Instruments.
This part will focus on the different uses of Tides as a sound source.
After the review, I Added a short jam session (8:05) illustrating tides as both a sound source and a modulation.

Thanks for making and sharing these.
Emilie for sure is/was a master at making musical and versatile modules. I've got six of her designs in my 12U (if you count Monsoon and Beehive, plus Stages, Beads, Rings, and Ripples2). 4 Doepfer modules. In VCV, tides is my favorite L; , it's on my wish list for hardware.

I agree with you on how useful tides is. Ive reset my rack plenty of times, but tides never moves.

Great video. I'm wondering what the module you are using on the top right is. Is it Mutable Clouds / Monsoon maybe?

Awesome. Just upgrade to V2 Tides from the original. Great little module. When I bought it someone said, 'great module. but you will want two of them'. Now I understand why ;-)

That last jam was something special imo. How did you get that strange pluck sound? I just switched from tides v1 to v2 and it is just fascinating to me

Two questions. What is feeding the V/oct? An LFO? To what is Veils sending the signal? Just the mixer or will it feed something else? Thanks and great videos.
