It is worth mentioning that we already awarded you the title of “best beadsman”, and this is exactly why. Thanks for sharing man, your beads videos make me glad to have kept mine.
Holy shit dude you just blew my mind. I love my beads but always saw these two modes as seperate engines. Never would I have thought to combine them, the results are stunning especially suddenly having polyphony and chords. Cant wait to dive in, thanks for always showing I can do more with my modules, love all your vids 🙏
Great video per usual dude, I often forget about the wavetable mode until I find myself in that same "where is that god damn sound coming from" situation lol but never have I been able to make it sound anywhere as cool as this, thanks for the inspiration, gonna give the wavetable a more deep dive later on

Great video, beautiful sounds 👏 thank you. Occasionally, I'll get some unwanted pops out of Beads, anyone know how to stop those pops? The manual briefly mentions it but the solution doesn't always work?
Thanks! For the eurorack audio I do very little. Some EQ, compression, and sometimes I’ll use a de-noisier if there’s a lot of hiss or noise. For drums I’ll do EQ, compression, and maybe something like the vulf compressor and reverb to spice it up. I did make a post-processing vid on patreon if you’d like a more detailed look :)
Still not got much out of my Beads- but I dare not sell it in case I miss out on stuff like this… Oh, and I wish I could get my Keystep to do that- if I press a key with an arp already playing the arp dies. Perhaps I’m a firmware or two behind.
I love beads, but I find it a puzzle to think about how to patch it for live use as both an effect and an oscillator. I've used 4ms VCA matrix to help and a few other methods but it's always a big HP hit trying to get both things out of it with minimal or no repatching - especially with stereo audio. Obviously it could be a matter of "Doctor, doctor! It hurts when I do... THIS", "Well, don't do that then."
I typically have it clocked and 2 octaves up just to add some sparkle and an extra layer. It’s not the most diverse using it that way but it can produce some lovely depth to the input sounds.

Beadsyman.
I will gladly accept the title of best headsman 😂
I agree. At some point I considered selling it but I am so glad I kept it! It is an instrument by itself.
sounds so good, man. love that you show off creative uses for modules that aren't just atonal blips and bloops lol. super chill!
Thanks! There’s definitely more than enough bleeps and bloops in the eurorack world already lol
Love beads so much. One of my main voices for my upcoming gig. Amazing little thing. Keep up the great vids. X
Beautiful demonstration as always. Thank you.
Cheers ✌️
Cheers man ~ appreciated!
Man I love when you do beads videos!!!❤❤❤
Haha cheers man! It’s the gift that keeps on giving!
This is brilliant. I keep learning tons of new stuff from your demos! 😎
Thanks and glad to hear it!!
Excellent video

Excellent... that's all!

Cheers man!! I thought they were totally separate too until one day I thought “I wonder what would happen if…”
Wow, you're at it again! to me sounds like the next, as of yet unreleased Tangerine Dream album :)
Flipping heck Ali... I've never managed to get this golden stuff out of my Beads... Thanks for this mate 😊
Cheers man! It definitely took me a while to get my head around beads ~ love it now tho! ☺️
This is incredible. You have a new subscriber. 👏👏👏👏👏
Glad you’re enjoying the videos!! ☺️

Very glad you enjoyed it! There’s definitely a lot to explore in the wavetable mode.

Hello. THank you. This was really helpful!
Thanks! Glad to hear it ☺️
Please keep doing Beads videos 💌
I’m quite sure there’ll be more 😃

Thank you! I haven’t noticed any pops on mine. Maybe the gain is up high? Or it could be the sound quality setting?
I'll check the gain setting, thanks
Hey ali did you end up keeping arbhar? Wondering if you found it to be a keeper like mojave? Considering it
Hey! I do still have the Arbhar I just haven't had enough time yet to learn it properly lol. Will definitely be featuring it in future videos tho.
@@TheUnperson awesome man. Thanks for letting me know.
Some lovely stuff in here
Thank you! :)
Hi Ali, how do you find tuning the beads as an Oscillator in this mode, is there an ideal approach to take?
I didn’t really think about it! I guess you can use the pitch control to tune it if you find it’s out with your other gear.
Nice vid! Hey what kind of post processing do you usually do for the audio from your instruments for the video?

DUDE!!!! Epic!!
Thanks man! :)
Fantastic, thank you

Shame I can’t like it twice so here 👍
Much appreciated!
Never tried that, but Beads did not click with me as a granular fx module. This mode on the other hand is really great!
It took me a long time to click with beads. I really disliked it at first, but quite enjoy it now ☺️
Why no Beads clones yet? : (
I got one, but wouldn't mind one more..
The code still hasn't been released I believe.
@@baronvongreenbackprobably never will at this point, been years
@@AerioNauts Yeah, most likely, I got lucky and found a bargain beads on eBay but its a shame.
