The hotel is very interesting. From the outside, it looks like a building that has not yet finished construction. Its unique. I like it.
Right!? I thought it was very eye catching too. And the rooms kinda remind me of a Japanese modern ryokan with the wooden beds like that.
Watching you from Vancouver, BC. I love that hotel’s design concept. I was born in Taipei but left Taiwan at 13 years old so never had the chance to see anywhere south of Taipei really. I am seeing Taiwan through the lens of RUclipsrs. Thank you very much for taking your viewers on your trips.

When it comes to budget planning, it is always good to have a good friend 'to be in the denominator'. Not only it reduces the cost, but someone to share happy time is the most precious.
1000% !! Usually I travel weekdays though so there is less people (better for filming) and most of my friends work. I just really lucked out this time with my beautiful friend ✨
I really miss traveling to Taiwan, hoping to go there next year :)

Actually we do have a word called "第二個胃" or "另一個胃" means you have "the second stomach" or "the extra stomach" for dessert. "牛的胃"(cow's stomach) actually means another thing, it means you have a huge stomach so you can eat A LOT.

台中人+1 ！ 選彩虹村很會喔👍那個金佛是很有名沒錯，但我第一次看到是晚上..沒惡意但真的很恐怖..我跟我女友一起嚇到，還有台中高美濕地(Taichung County Gaomei Wetlands Wildlife Refuge)加上台中港是必去的地方！ 尤其是高美真的很漂亮，希望有機會可以看到Jehn去看看QQ， 吃的話推薦逢甲夜市跟太原夜市、旱溪夜市

"Paojue Temple" in Taichung, Taiwan is a temple loved by Japanese people
Paochueh Temple: Not only is it a happy golden Buddha, but it is also because it has a deep connection with Japanese people.
On the premises, there is also the "Fraternity Bell Tower" where a large bell presented by the Japanese is placed, and a memorial monument to Taiwanese Japanese soldiers during World War II.

that's so funny - the different sayings for having room to eat more. We always say: " (name/he/she) has a hollow leg"= so your first meal went into your leg and you have room for more (in your stomach). lol

Nice to include the budget information (my BBA is in Finance) Trips can be on many levels of budget, and it is nice to go somewhere and do something and the budget doesn't have to limit anyone (much) You can have a high, medium, or low budget and still do amazing things.
Exactly!! Some of my trips too I feel too range in budgets. Like my Yilan trip for me was expensive but worth it. I’m about to spend a few days in Penghu so, thag will also be an expensive trip!

i learned to make authentic chicken chop (ji pai) when i worked at an authentic taiwanese restaurant and let me tell you it is soooo delicious!!!

@@LayersOfJenn just beware as two Taichung restaurants charged us 10% service fee with I confirmed with employees, money is for owner and not employees. It’s simple tip calculation here in B.C. due to 5% sales tax times 3 = tip for regular service. Thanks again 4 supporting Taiwan tourism.

Transportation is relatively affordable I think here. But we also had a $40 NTD off coupon for every Uber trip (it was a campaign going on at the time)
