I'm short and small (5'5, 136LBs). I ride soft wheels (spitfire chargers 56mm), size 8.0 board, ultra soft bushings. My main board is forged hollows by independent, because I like light boards so I can turn hard. For bearings, I ride bones big balls. Some are better for long-term and short term speed, so it's something to consider. But at the end of the day, choose something from a well reputed brand for your first board for future proofing.
@@Lynn-vz8yo sorry didn't see this. Soft wheels are better for cruising and slide tricks and speed because they roll smoother and have better impact reduction. Hard wheels grip better and tend to be smaller so their better for tricks, but I stick to soft because I think their better for all around situations
I skate a 10.25 wide board from globe with tensor trucks and soft wheels really good set up for cruising. I put on my hard wheels when I’m at the skatepark.

You can but doing tricks like Ollie’s can be very risky so if you do pls be careful I’m not saying that you can’t do Ollie’s you can but just be careful when

I got my setup completely free because a skate in ski instructor helped me out to me that was pretty cool
