- Module 6 Supply Chain Integration
Part 6 of 12 Individually, purchasing, operations, and logistics management do not comprise supply chain management. Supply chain management requires network integration. Integration is only possible when organizational philosophies are compatible across the supply chain and when supply chain partners work as cooperative and coordinated teams. Modern organizational supply chain leaders need to understand the importance of integration internally and externally. Modern supply chain skills are required by elite corporate executives around the world.
This is the 6th installment in Arizona State University's twelve-part introduction to supply chain management video series developed by Eddie Davila, Jeff Hough, Randy Cates, Dawn Feldman, Dan Ichikawa, Ian Schmoel, and Matt Hardy. ASU, the W. P. Carey School of Business, and the Supply Chain Management Department are proud and happy to share this video series with supply chain management departments, supply chain instructors, career specialists in high schools and universities, as well as industry leaders in an effort to inspire a new generation of supply chain management professionals across the country and around the world.
For more information, visit W. P. Carey's SCM Web site at wpcarey.asu.edu/scm or send an e-mail to wpcarey.scm@asu.edu.
Great video. It help visualize the need for modern supply chain managers and the many process that we must be on top of. Thank you.
So impressive! Watching these modules is quite different sitting though my Logistics classes, where powerpoints were made in excel 2003. Excellent content. Concise presentation.
You just wakes me up as a salesman, I need to move forward and be innovative. Thanks!
This was fun to watch and very modern! Well done! I'll have to send my professor a link to this.
The last line got me. That makes me want to learn supply chain go to next level. Thank you so much
Bravo! You have changed my way of thinking. You have caused a paradigm shift in me sir. Thank you!
Watching this video influences me to consider Walmart-Store. In Walmart there are a lot of aggressive things in the correct zones and also the store will adjust to client needs. Additionally it is exceptionally viable in light of the fact that it draws consideration from the clients and impacts the need to shop there.
Good Work! I have an exam tomorrow and this question is most likely to come out! Thanks
The presentation was very insightful. Thanks!
W. P. Carey makes an interesting point, at least to me;)
We are all familiar with the Dilbert cartoon? The company segments (marketing and engineering) which do not work well together? Having managers at each level which understand what is going on in the other areas of the organization is a must if we are going to maximize optimization and efficiency, as well as providing the best product, service and price.
that's what you need to become...!! an inspiration!!!

Apple CEO Tim Cook is a good example of his prediction at the end that the strongest future CEO's will bring mastery of supply chain management.

"The failure of one is a failure for all."
Is someone get the phrase (minute 0:49) " Integrated, that means companies need to pull their employees and business partners "......"and have them develop a cohesive team " --> I'm french and i don't get few words between partners and "have them develop...". Thank you
+TORTAI AXELLE "...out of their silos..."
"out of their silos"
Out of their silos, a silo is a building that houses grain on a farm. In this sense they mean the worker is only focused on their tasks and not how they are contributing to a team. It's an odd colloquialism, I'll give you that.
where can i find the script of these VID ?
If anyone took a second to really think about the information being given to us in this video theyd realize its all common sense. teamwork is important and companies need to be constantly evolving?? groundbreaking information, truly.
Any Good University in FL or online for Bachiller as a SCM?
3:34 This is why Steve Jobs chose Tim Cook as his replacement instead of Jony Ive.
