I usually seem to break something or lose a vision 110. A few weeks a go I broke a spinning rod. Last week a broke a spinning reel putting my boat in. Instead of freaking out, I look at it as an opportunity to upgrade my equipment! This changes my mindset immediately and I can focus on the task at hand, catching some big fish!!
I’m really glad that you joined Johnny and this channel. I really appreciate the approach. You have to doing these videos and telling it like it is. Things don’t always go the way you planned.
Yes sir! Thank you for the feedback 👍🏽. Fishing is not always unicorns and bigfoots 🤣🤣. A lot of real stuff goes on and we don’t plan on it at times - Jimi.
Love the enthusiasm Jimi. You're spot on with the attitude thing, I've thought many times about packing it in but the time on the water is special. I agree, older tackle still works. If it ain't broke, no need to spend on the latest thing out there.
I’ve had my days that I just want to give up and then it happens just one fish after another Positive is a must all the time thank you fantastic video keep up the great job
Attitude may honestly have more to do with fishing than most people think. I know I can make a lot more accurate casts when I'm enjoying my time. Great video Jimi! Keep at it man!
Forgot to strap my kayak yesterday morning 4 poles n my yak flew out back of my truck yaks ok but 1 rods trash still made it to lake n had a decent day ! Love the videos keep em comin
Absolutely gotta have that positive attitude !!! Also great information Jimmy n glad you tell people you don’t have go out and buy lastest n greatest. I use rod n reels I bought 25 years ago. One thing I’d like to hear on your vids is the lake you fish. Keep up the great work
Appreciate it Mike! There are some older lures I keep locked up except for certain situations too. I do switch up the lakes I fished.. this one here.. Lake Dierks, I have not been on since February. I will say it is one of the ones in my hour radius that I used to fish a lot but since I have started working for FTM, I do fish a variety and switch it up for each video. Thanks for watching! - Jimi
I realky needed this video Jimi thank you i packed it up after 1 hr and 20 mins this weekend i was on the bank but still i should have stuck it out.Who knows i may have had a day like yours. Nice catch of fish. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mike! Yes, bank fishing is different. Maybe you could of moved to another location that is nearby and try? I know when I was bank fishing a lot I would drive around the whole lake but I know each body of water is different. Thanks for sharing and good luck next trip! - Jimi
Absolutely a great video and message, Jimi! I had one of those types of days today where I was fighting my gear more than the fish and it can get frustrating. I kept hammering away and ended up catching some nice ones, including one that was north of 5 pounds.
Good job jumping Jimmy. I also love pulling big cranks this time of year into early fall. I also agree with the lower gear ratio reels. Only thing I do different is using Berkley trilene xt 10lb line. It acts more like floro in that it's more sensitive than most mono and it's extremely abrasion resistant. Plus it's far cheaper and I can change every time out. Keep the deep crank shows coming buddy and God bless.
@@BassFishingDeclassifiedthat's it man. Confidence to me is knowing what your strengths are and rolling with the conditions and what the fish are doing to the best of your abilities with that positive mental attitude.
Great video again...I was wondering what made you pick a green/ yellow crankbait in this instance? I also noticed your second color choice was also another version of the green color scheme. Thanks
Appreciate the comment and great question. I have learned when water clarity is stained, the green/yellow color looks more natural and pops out to the fish in the deeper depths. If you fish really clean water and put a yellow bait in it, it looks yellow but in stained water... it looks white. I really like the black / chartreuse color pattern as well.
Good video bud lol still waiting on a tips video on oxbow lakes. I have a theory that bass see the cypress treeline as a second bank. I think they stage up on lone outer trees as ambush sites. Test this out maybe? 😅
@@BassFishingDeclassified Sounds good buddy lol try my theory out? Baitfish seem to like being in between clusters of trees so I think the bass use the lone outliers as stage posts for ambushing. I don't have a usable boat in order to test this though. Good luck 😁
You're more brave than I am 🤣 you confessed in a video 🤣🤣🤣 in all seriousness though great content but if it's risky business busy out a garage video we the viewer get plenty out of that with your insights!

Positivity, confidence and knowing what fish are doing on your lake are the secret techniques that ALWAYS catch fish. 💯💯💯
