Personnel:
Robin Trower - guitar
James Dewer - bass, vocals
Bill Lordan - drums
There will never be another Bill Lordan on drums, James Dewar on bass/vocals, and Robin Trower. The fact that these 3 are not in the RRHOF is a crime. Trower Power forever and ever.
BIG AMEN !!!!!🙋
The hall is missing a spectacular array of bands and artists
💯
agreed he need to be in the RRHOF! for dure!!!
Fuck the hall of Fame! It's turned into a political shit show
The most underrated band!
Absolutely the best version of The Fool And Me ,by far! I'm a lifelong Trower fan and it's a crying shame Robin seems to have been overshadowed by Clapton, Beck and Page in the 60's and 70's, and E. Van halen, SRV in the 80's. Robin certainly has his following, but I feel he's so much better than most people think.
@@georgebirch5635 A true guitar 🎸 HERO
I totally agree big time lifelong fan , seen him live several times.
Robin and Uli jon Roth are the only 2 that could play valid Hendrix style in the 70's. Love them both :)
He is amazing live, sounds like 2 people playing 😊!
Robin Trower absolutely a guitar 🎸 God! Still tours go out and see him 😊
I did, twice ❤
Anybody else still digging this......
101424 !

My 5 year old daughter: What’s wrong with that mans face?
My 9 year old son: That’s what happens when the music comes out of your body and into the guitar.
Proud Dad moment
4syth definitely. Knew that at 9. Truly awesome.
Just tell them he's a Pollack ☺😚😙
Smart kid
Be proud dad. Very proud...😎
Dave that was a very effed up comment LOSER
James Dewar was a one of a kind vocalist. Incredible tone. R.I.P. forever.
God Bless Jimmy. They just found a newly unreleased song by him with a different band. I’m on a REALLY old phone and can’t link it.
RUclips search: James Dewar Word for Word. Enjoy!! ☮️♥️🎼
Very true. Magic was being made here
i have to agree great sounding vocals and band as whole i am an oldtimer 69 years young and still jamming on all kinds of music
Yessss, while playing bass too, very hard to do both at same time well.
I AM !!!! Was too young first time around
It’s like his finger’s barely moved, yet all these notes came pouring out. What an absolute phenomenon he was and still is.
Jimmy Dewar's voice is as good as it gets, here! One of the best voices in world music!
Robin is the king of "guitar faces" 👍☮️
Witnessed Robin Trower back in the 70s past, Awesome live concert!! They were a band of the good old days. I remember the concert ended under applauding. The crowd left, but not 45 fans. They came out and played another 45 minutes of unreleased songs. Mind blowing, that's for sure!!
Hot damn! This is real music made by three monsters live and in person. No synthesizers, auto tune, big sets, fancy lighting, dancers, or candy-ass BS, just get down and kick butt blues-rock-Nendrixian guitar. I saw this trio back in the day and they absolutely crushed it! Thank you, Robin Trower!
Nothing wrong with synthesizers. you still have to play the notes.
Jimmy Dewar. 50 years, and he still is unequaled..I watch and listen and think just 3. No auto tune, Just a power trio, that still rings true, 50 years later. Mr. Dewar, and no one else can, like he does.
I love all of you, my fellow Trower fans💕!!! He is the best, ever!!!
You betcha !! 💞
Back Atcha!🙌
Yes, love Trower!! Nice to see lady love for him too!💓😎
Trower makes the best guitar faces!
I had an older brother by 5 years, so I grew up listening to my bothers music. Rock, good rock. And I remember being blown away when I heard Trower. Snuck my bothers albums and played Trower for friends. One friend called it "tough music" when he heard Trower. "Man, that's tough music, the guitar playing is far out. (yeah we were children of the 60's) Not many years later at 16 years old I found myself at Winterland in San Francisco at a Robin Tower concert, totally grooving on "tough music"
I have all of Robin's albums from my brothers collection. (vinyl, look it up kids lol) My brother has since passed, but I will crank up some Trower to "11" for my brother, wherever he may be listening.
The ultimate guitar faces on " the fool & ME,,,,
I'm a guitar player. "That's" happy faces😊?
I hit the wrong button.😮 I meant " THAT" is happy faces!!!! That's better 😊
Robb Trower’s legendary guitar licks just suck the air out of you. Nobody has that style. Marvelous!
Bass player (I'm sorry, I have now forgotten his name, again) was such a valuable asset to the team. The tragedy that he passed away due to a chronic illness. Great hand coordination and voice. Never to be replaced.
James Dewar
Never
James Dewar , Scotland , His Daughter Lisa use to e mail me .
@Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow 1977 I'm actually the king of England .
I believe you. I am friends with his now drummer Chris Taggart
Somebody help me pick my jaw up from the floor. I saw Trower back in the mid 70s, and I know I loved his guitar playing but damn, I think I forgot how utterly amazing he was/is.
James Dewar, RIP, my favorite singer, what a voice!!
I think Robin Trower has the best vibrato I've ever heard... That first solo is so smooth and fluid!
He's somehow controlling it through facial contortions! Great music!
The best index finger vibrato. That is super heavy to achieve. Jimi, Robin,SRV had that. Ring finger as well but many get that.
Now that's some serious guitar work.
Was there for that show! So many great concerts at Winterland! I was lucky to have been able to enjoy and see so many great groups there! Saw Robin with Procol Harum in 1967 in Germany. They were on first before The Bee Gees!
Rock and roll hall of fame, they should be for sure:)
Can it get any better !!! Robin's secret weapon...JAMES DEWAR...
I saw Trower in n.o. with procol harum & then a few months later at the same place on his solo tour with Jimmy dewar & a very impressive drummer.
Never disappointed seeing Robin Trower always a great show! Just another awesome guitar 🎸 player In a long line!!
Robin is so under appreciated !
His percussive rhythm guitar and phrasing is wonderful.., and way over looked.
My favorite guitarist of all-time!
Anytime Robin came to perform in
the Toronto area, the concerts were always sold out!!
One of the greatest guitarists of all time, and certainly my favorite.
YES, ROBIN TROWER IS ONE OF THE GREATEST GUITARIST IN ROCK. DEFINITELY.BOB😊
That guitar truly knows how to play a Robin!
YES, THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS OF ROCK HISTORY.THEY DESERVE TO BE IN THE ROCK H,OF,FAME. BOB😊
Robin Trower is an English Lord of blues rock.
Was in front of James for this show leaning on the stage. Loved it! managed to see him 11 times all together...The best!
James Dewar was such a talented singer and bassist 👌
These guys are all together tight and tasty funky and Sassy Robin is a hell of a guitarist obviously so is James Dewar and Bill Lordan one of my favorite Power trios
This is one of my very favorite pieces of music. Robin Trower was somthing...
Still is! He is still touring!
My brother gave me the album Bridge of Sighs I never gave it back love the man awesome
KILLER VOCALS!!! RIP MR. DEWAR!!!
One of the Greats with a unique original style. Whole band was phenomenal.
I saw some dude on a RUclips channel singing the praises of Robin Trower in general, and this particular lineup in particular. They truly were magical.❤️
One of the greatest Wah player’s!
Mr James Dewar Yes
Love James Dewar - powerful, melodic voice. All soul! For some reason he's a little flat on this live version vs. studio
he’s not flat,
Robin's guitar and James' voice, his visionary style of playing, singlehandedly changed the type of music l love and listen to today. Thank you Robin, and you Mr. Dewar!! (RIP)✌
Saw Robin Trower in 2019, man was on fire and still has “it”. His bassist was very good, as was drummer. Music had me in a heavyyy trance, hypnotic, he’s got the best “guitar face”. Massive talent, he and his guitar become one. First heard of him way back in 1974 when older bro added “Bridge of Sighs” to album collection. Blew my 15 yr old socks off! Love you Robin Trower❤
I was there. 18 years old and feeling all of it. Three guys and so much music. Simple. A very memorable concert. Thank you for sharing.
So was I, at 14. With Stepdad and uncle. We blasted Trower all the time. Best concert ever. Better than han the he Stones at the Cow Palace.
@@robertrough6753 Yes. I saw the Stones at the Cow Palace-an extravaganza for sure. The Trower show was tight by comparison. Thanks for responding:)
Trower is one of the best. I. Was in California when I heard him playing BRIDGE OF SIGHS ...the first time on an underground radio station. I flipped out. I had Been dreaming of Hendrix
He’s got the greatest melt your face look!
Saw him in Baltimore in 2002 it was a great show 🥃🥃👍👍👏👏
couldn't ask for a better singer for Robin he is missed .
Love this line-up.
Dewars voice was perfect for Trowers blues.
Love Trower. I've seen him over 20 times . Yep I'm old 😂
Excellent band!!! 👍
I saw them in 1978 and I’ll never forget it!!!!

Me? Trower concert 3/15/75.
I actually heard a Trower song floating from the sound system of a Shop Rite grocery store here in Belleville, NJ! Thought I had died and gone to heaven. What are the odds! Somehow the management came to their senses and started playing classic rock for the shoppers. What magic. James Dewar's voice is to die for!
That is awesome. You can hear them in the friggin grocery store but they never mad to the hall of fame?? wtf??
Dewar's voice is the instrument that made this rock!
First Robin Trower song I ever heard. been hooked since.
Wow!! What a performance by Robin Trower...and everyone.
Kick ass early rock pioneers.
one of the greatest this lineup of trower band i swa in l.a. 1979 wow
Trower ruled at this point. Hands down.
And I saw them back in 75 and other times my favorite band of all times
Robin becomes one with his Guitar!
He makes it look easy. And he really seems to be having fun. Great performance.
Never Gotten The Credit He
!!! DESERVES !!! One Of The BEST If Not The BEST
Trower's Guitar Is Talking The Blues Effortlessly
Was fortunate to see Robin one week before this winterland show at the selland arena fresno ca...literally hung on to the stage right in front of Robin and have a good pic to prove it, Lol...Man those were the days.
Very in- appreciated guitarists of ALL time! One of the BEST period!
Best guitar face ever!
Robin had way too much fun with the end of this song! Excellent. Karl
At his best. Fantastic. With Bill Lordan on drums.
Robin set the bar here so high
Unmatched
I saw this band as they were then in 1980 at the Liverpool empire theatre England .
I still think this was the best gig I’ve ever been and seen. They were superb! Long live life to us one and all,
May he and us keep rocking and keep respecting x✌️✌️✌️👍👍👍😀😀😀 and just be happy in the knowledge that you can listen to this guy x
That badass rhythm ... with all the fixins!
Forever in my heart you are Robin Trower!
Mid 70s and Trower. Great time to be alive.
OMG! This is unbelievable, LOVEEEE this sound. They were the greatest, and Robin still is.
My first concert. : Pablo Cruise, Journey, Robin Trower - We were 16. Winterland was an epic concert hall. The whole scene was a mind bender for a guitar kid wannabe and adults alike. I blew through 2 or 3 copies of Bridge of Sighs learning every note including this song. We had no tab, no internet. We had vinyl and the will to use our ear to suck every note out that was possible.
I was there, first row balcony. My Junior year in highschool
I was lucky to see Trower at Winterland we stood right in front of Robin I was 17 Long Misty Days had not been released yet but he played it and we were floored. I saw Robin at Day on the Green 1975 on acid not a good way to start the morning it made for a weird day, but Trower kicked ass that much I remember.
Still Awsome After 47 Years - Yaaa !!!!!!!
I've always been an RT Fan & let's give it up for the original trio Bill Lordan percussion
James Dewar on bass & lead Vocals right up with Jack Bruce ❤️
That has got to be the funkiest Robin Trower beat I've ever heard...and the protracted feedback to wrap it up woulda made Jimi blush. Pure class.
One of the greatest bands ever!
"You can't play super funky rhythm riffs in a hard rock song"... Robin "hold my beer"
RObin Feels every note!
Pure class, Mr. Trower!
.
Buddy Guy tribute guitarist, as Hendrix, extrordinaire. RIP James Dewar
"He was wild, passionate and abrasive, yet all his work was imbued with his personal gentleness. He was an artist extravagantly generous with his beauty."
--Michael Lydon -from the New York Times Obituary for Jimi Hendrix, 9/27/1970
Applies to Robin Trower as well (in the present tense, thankfully).
Timeless...
great
Yes , yes , yes !
I have always prefered the 3 piece band concept. I knew Jimmi Hendrix and always wanted to meet Robin Trower and Jeff Beck. Those 3 were and are my heroes and influencers in music.
Saw him at the Baltimore Civic Center mid 70s I’m 69 and cherish the fond memories
exquisitly beautiful guitar tone
classic RTB lineup...Best band Ever!!
Wow! Reminds me of "Band of Gipsys", not only the guitar is very Hendrix like, but the drums and bass groove like Buddy Miles and Billy Cox!
This B&W Tv Screen is pure Band Of Gipsyes Filmore east 1968
My first concert was seeing him at Convention Hall in Asbury Park, probably 1974 time frame. Totally awesome concert, I will always remember his guitar work
Awesome. I'm so glad that they filmed this.
This is off topic, but i missed out seeing so many bands because my ears could not take the volume.
23,000 views??? This should have 23,000,000.
damn right
yea man, One of the best modern guitar masters ever!
I'd put Robin right next too, If not better than Jimi
Right on, brotha!
Truth, brother
