  • Famous for its amazing kosher pastries, cakes and other goodies, Cheskie's Boulangerie on Bernard Avenue in Montreal has developed quite the reputation since it opened in 2002, especially for its delicious chocolate babka, with many claiming (including numerous New Yorkers) it is hands down the best babka in North America.

Wow! I've been here a couple of times but had no idea it was this famous. I'll have to try some more of their snacks. Love the random seinfeld clips ;)

It's so good! Not even 20 years old and already developed itself a stellar reputation. And I couldn't make a video about babka without a Seinfeld reference😇

Well it's a big city.. and living in the west Island might have something to do with it.. less likely to self discover some places.. and word of mouth only travels so far! 😆

If we're being sticklers already for grammar, it's not a rugelach which is plural. It's a rugaleh.

Wait an hour for Dairy & meat? Why? Abraham didn't wait. Don't believe what everything the Rabbis tell you, and trust only the Word of God.
So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it. So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate. Genesis 18:6-8
Do a little research: Who were Abraham special guests? If you can pay particular attention to who the Hebrew identifies them as.

Abraham didn't have the torah so he wasn't commanded with most of the laws. Abraham didn't keep the shabbath which is literally one of the commandments.
