Ok thanks thing is the previous owner has shaved the rear wiper , the button , and the emblem are all gone . So I'm just trying to figure out how that glass portion can be opened without getting into the mechanism.

For some reason my remote won't program. When I'm holding the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for a few seconds, I hear a faint sound from the horn and the locks never cycle letting me know the remote is paired....i even held the buttons for as long as 5 minutes🤷😵
If you look at the steps in the description box of the video, do you door locks cycle in step 9? That is what indicates the vehicle is in programming mode
@@PYR-Auto yes it goes into programming mode, just makes a faint noise from the horn when holding the lock/unlock buttons on the remote and nothing else
Although the horn making a faint sound is not common symptom of a bad remote, I would try getting a different one since you are getting vehicle into programming mode and it just is not responding properly to the remote.
All the remotes you want programmed to the vehicle need to be programmed during the procedure - that includes any that are already programmed. If you look at the steps in the description box of the video, you need to repeat step 10 for every remote after the first remote is programmed.
I only have one, it says “2” on the back will it work? It does nothing, I’ve changed the batteries , nothing works. I have no other one and only one key. Also my only key ONLY opens the drivers door I don’t know if I need to get the whole car re-keyed 😢

No - unfortunately there is no manual procedure to program a remote fob for a 2004 SRX
So how would we connect our remote...

You will need a Dealership or Automotive Locksmith to program the fobs - they will have to hook a computer/programmer up to your vehicle

No - it will need to be done with the button on the vehicle itself
