I didn’t find the exact harness because they weren’t making them anymore. It was discontinued but I got a similar one that came with some other tabs that I didn’t use so I just put them away but everything else was spot on. I don’t know what I would’ve done with out this video. I just saved myself hundreds of dollars. I was gonna take the radio to a radio shop, but I came across your video. I bought every single item that you listed. Thank you so much again this was very helpful.
Hello I just installed a new head unit in my 2003 Escalade. The sound is absolute garbage for me. The factory amplifier doesn’t even kick on for me. Music sounds flat. What harness did you use ? I suspect a bad harnsss

So I have this 2003 Chevy 1500 but I decided to change the steering wheel with the same one like yours buts it’s the Chevy version with the buttons but idk what to add like to make the buttons work any help

A lot of time the Bose does sound as well with the aftermarket Stereo because they have amplifiers normally what people do is change the factory speakers
Sad I literally cannot find the parts to do this out of stock everywhere I have crux stuff in trying to do it with but now the plug isn’t matching up I’m so confused

I gotta 2002. Wonder if steering wheel wires are the same.cant find any diagrams for bose system with 11 speakers and factory amp and sub with swc.. Any way you can help or got instructions still from wiring kit..previous owner cut wires so i had to tear everything out run amps and rcas.. Gotta radio with steering wheel controls built in but don't know which wires are what. Theres a lot of em.. Thanks..

the stock bose system has the audio pilot mic that is near your right knee on the console. Does that still work. It lowers and raises the sound from noise it picks up. also the the rear seat controls still work?

Ok i used a gm pac 11. With a kenwood headunit. I got audio from the deck but not from the rear unit. Luckily my headunit has dual zone so i can get it that way. What i did do was run a video out of my headunit to the rear dvd and now my daughter has the option to either watch what i put on or she can use the headphones and watch what she wants from the rear.@@darylmangrum1789

No idea if you'll even see this but I just installed a Pioneer DMH 2660 NEX in my 2004 Cadillac Escalade and the audio quality for Bluetooth is horrible! It sounds good when its quiet but when I turn it up the speakers crackle and sound bad. I dont think I installed it wrong but what gives?!

Not tryin to be all nitpicky, but that dash kit doesn't look like its centered in the dash very well with the stereo in it, but maybe its just me. Also, why not use the PAC RP5-GM11?

So, .... I have a 2002 Tahoe with NO Bose and I was able to do a factory amp bypass. Your car is a different generation than mine, and has Bose, but I bet it is possible. Check with that Google guy :)
Stereo is a very personal choice. The features of an aftermarket stereo are immense and everyone is different. Have a look at the crutchfield site and figure out what you want, what you can afford, and go from there.
Hey Steve. So I wanted to swap stereos with my 07 Silverado classic (double din) w/o bose and 04 Yukon (stock radio) w/bose. I was trying to reuse gmah24b harness but I wasn’t getting any sound so I bypassed interface and connected p. Cont to pink wire to fix that. Now unit won’t turn off at all. Looks like installer had cut off 12v box that came with interface off. Should I just wire the red wire to a fuse or just get a new harness? Thanks
This is what most people are using for the cubby space left once you remove the CD changer from the 2003-06 Escalade-Yukon Denali etc... I know the listing says it’s for a Mitsubishi/Subaru/VW....disregard that - no worries - and just read the reviews and look at the pictures people with these years GM trucks post. It’s prob the best option for where the CD player used to be. Cheapest and best option and it looks pretty good! I bought brand new ac system and only the back blows cold ac. Can anyone help. 2003 suburban z71 with Bose. Thank you , they had to bypass the amp to the new radio for speakers to work
I have 2 hardwired wires Coming out of the bottom edge of my OEM radio. It is a DVD player radio and I don’t know if that has anything to do with it or if it has to do with the XM radio antenna
Cool video Steve, I just thought the Bose amp would need a lower signal to operate, as one would use the RCA outputs on most other power amp installations, so as it seems your wired directly into original Harness??? and it works!!!
Yep, worked in my 02 Tahoe (non Bose, but with factory amp) as well. That amp was a POS located behind the glove box. I had to do an amp bypass just to take it out of the equation.
Same manufacturer and same Generation but I can only guess that the answer is yes because i have never done an 04 GMC Yukon. Maybe someone here will chime in.
Can all this exact equipment work for a 2004 Escalade? Also the Bluetooth only works if USB is plugged into phone correct? Best installation, explanation with patience and good work on RUclips so far. Keep up the good work and teaching your children that "It can be done". Stay blessed.

I have also installed a backup camera but haven't connected it to the rear brake lights as I don't know which one to cut and don't want to mess it up... Anyways when setting up your Pioneer Stereo did you choose network mode or standard mode?

All the oranges together from both sides. I'm a little confused on the very last set of wires for the dimmer and the 2 other wires where they hook up to
Do you recall if that interface kit kept the fader control function on that Bose system, also you don't need to start your engine to move the gear select

i thought the one i got for my tahoe would work but it did not . still looking.
Use the cage from the center changer. The guts all come out easily and the cage is metal so it won't melt and flex in the heat

Still on the hunt. Total oversight on my part when making the video. i found 1000 options for my Tahoe, but zero for the Caddy.
I used “Metra 98-8999 Turbo Pocket for Select 1987-08 Mitsubishi/Subaru/VW Vehicles”. I gutted the CD changer, used the frame and it fit perfectly.

A great way to find out is plug in your year make model at Crutchfield and see if it will work.

No. You have to modify for that.

The radio in the video has a mic.
I took the 5 disc changher out of its housing and used that, lined it with some thin plexiglass type stuff and some padded leather on the floor .
Would this work with a 05 yukon
if the config is the same, (Bose and steering wheel controls) then yes, it should.

Yes, but they don't have cd players in them.

Do I need “Axxess Gm Data Interface” or it is just enough to have “normal wire harness and steering wheel control “ to operate the pioneer after market radio.
I guess it wouldn't hurt, but mine worked just fine with the stuff i used in the video.
