I think what you are demonstrating here is stab stitch quilting & thank you so much !! Stab stitching yields a gorgeous, supple result for bed quilts especially (I realize you stated that this work is going to be a wall hanging.) Stab stitch quilting is hardly ever explained. This is so much appreciated !

Quilting should "not" be perfect, please leave all of your stitches as they are. It's beautiful, what a find.

I’m going back and fixing my husbands jeans quilt, which was only tacked with yarn. It’s almost 20 years old. This will be my first hand quilting, I’ve done hand stitching before and I love it so I’m excited. I might just use pins around each block section rather than a hoop so it doesn’t move the fabric too much. Thank you for the tutorial!

Erin. Thank you for your wisdom. Much appreciated. Love your colour scheme there, reminds me of the colours at the beach. Very beautiful and inspiring. Have subbed. Good luck with your new career. Blessings.

    Absolutely gorgeous and cosy.
I need a thinmle from the get go - makes it so much easier to help that needle along.

What do you do with the tail at the (knot end?) of your thread? My Grandma always pulled her knot through the backing fabric but not the filling/top fabric.

I think the qiult is beautiful why would you bother to redo your bubbles they look fine to me old quilts aren't perfect the fact that you rescued the blocks and tried to qiult it shows how talented you are leave the bubbles alone it's beautiful as is
