Thank you, I never think to look in the description. I'm planning on piecing my first quilt and I've decided to hand quilt it. Your videos are really helpful, thank you for taking the time to make them.
What type of batting do you use. I like to have warmth in my quilts... any suggestions for easy quilting batting. I also would like to see the back of the quilt.
My favorites to use are Hobbs 80/20 and Hobbs Tuscany wool. The wool is going to be warmer, but I've also used polyester batting and that's warm as well. I show the back of the quilt in this video both of the other videos as well as what your bottom hand is doing while quilting in the third video
@@Smacsek I would love for you to talk about your Barnyard Quilt. How you chose your fabrics , what you thought about the process. I am very interested in making this sampler quilt
I'll be honest, I just followed the pattern. I picked a fabric bundle that had about an equal amount of warm and cool colors and then assigned them a number from the pattern. I added some fabric in where my bundle was a little short, but the book really did most of the fabric choices for me. I used Lori Holt's Bee Vintage line if that helps
I was wanting to love your video, but I could not hear you very well. When I turned my computer up all the way I hear a roar in the background like maybe a fan running. I just fast forward through a lot of information.
Thank you so much for your video series!
You're welcome!
There is a cotton wool blend. Its pretty nice to work with, too. Like you, haven't tried bamboo, but plan to
I might give that a try on my next quilt. Thanks for the recommendation!
What size is your quilt hoop, and can you share where you purchased it from? Great channel, I am looking forward to your videos.
I have a link in the description, but it's an Edmunds 12" quilting hoop

Great video. What pattern is your quilt
I'm currently working on The Barnstar Sampler by Shelley Cavana
