Hi Chad, Thank you for your video. I’m currently residing in Australia and I am excited about starting a small home-based business. My plan is to leverage laser cutting technology to create unique designs for both offline and online markets. I am bit nervous, could you give me some basic advice to remember when I am planning to buy a Co2 laser machine. Thank you
Thank you for taking time to review this machine. I've been trying to make up my mind which way to go since im a newbie here. Much appreciated and new subscriber!
Got mine on order (the RM750, this one is too big to fit in my shop :( ), Ray has been very pleasant to work with, answering all my questions. Should be shipping after my credit card transaction goes through. I'll update once it's in my possession to put any skeptics (like I was) at ease! Thanks Chad for this awesome video.
@@ChadsCustomCreations Took delivery last week. The only hiccup was the fault of the warehouse: they were supposed to send me a black unit (I got red which reminded me of the "lame" laser in this vid, but it looks sweet still) with an extra laser tube. Ray took full responsibility and offered several options of credit. The packaging was perfect and the unit came to me spotless! I had some newbie questions and Ray was there to answer them (albeit at 11pm ET!). Other folks may want to know that he runs a much larger operation than just us hobbyists and small operations; he supplies entire schools overseas with state of the art equipment. So, I hope other folks looking for a CO2 laser see your video and my assessment and shop with confidence with Ray! I got the 750 model which has auto Z, and I'm thrilled. Thanks again Chad for the recommendation!
Jesse how long did it take to get once you got it ordered? Any customs issues if it came from overseas? And if you don't mind me asking how much is the shipping?
I purchased the r1390 and we are having some shipping issues but Yedda and Ray from rmlaser are fantastic. The laser will be here 11/4/2022. Like I said in an earlier post I'd never purchased from China before however this went fairly smooth. when I did have shipping issues with FedEx Yedda from rmlaser was very helpful. I would recommend purchasing from rmlaser to anyone thinking of purchasing a laser. This being said the laser in not here yet but I really feel good about the purchase so far.
@@SanDiego99991 The fuse and power cord were under sized. Ray at rmlaser has updated how they are built now. Ray at rmlaser offered to send me all the parts to update my machine however I went the the local hardware store and purchased the materials to make the change myself. To answer your question I REALLY love my laser and Ray and Yedda have been AWESOME for support. We use an app called Whatsapp and I sometimes have to stay up late. I would recommend this laser or any laser from rmlaser to anyone.
Do you mind me asking what the cost for shipping was for you? I got one quote so far and it was $12k from Fedex. Clearly way too much so looking for the best option. Thx
Love seeing all the different uses of Lasers out there and you guys posting these videos that help the laser game grown faster then ever and bear with me through the beginning of this comment the end will be helpful I hope! I have around 10 years of experience operating,Programming, working on, and more recently traveling to different large laser companies to help push the High KW industrial fiber lasers to even crazier heights. I also manage now 27 lasers from 4.4k co2, 6k fibers with full automation, and many high kw from 10k - now 30k after the 2 30k we just purchased. I love seeing all levels of uses for lasers but I have been trying to let you co2 guys know That you might want to watch and keep tabs with your parts suppliers in the coming months. November 2022 and into 2023 is going to be a big year for The direction of Lasers, primarily the phasing out with co2 technology. I have been seeing it for a few years now a my job is to watch the industry close but many of the big guys have made it Clear and will Be announcing it very soon they they will stop producing and supporting co2 laser, parts, and training of future technicians on them. That will not effect you guys as quickly but if you plan to stay in the laser world in the future then I would either increase PMs, stock essential parts now and not when that start going up, and learn why you can yo fix it yourself. Orrr with fiber technology getting much cheaper and much much easier to get, I would start the research and preparations to make the switch. Trust me I have been on the front lines for the many ups and downs to get the fibers where they are and it will be worth it when the dust settles. You will have far more capabilities, more precise and the operating cost is a fraction over all.
Such a good comparison video. Glad to see you have had the red and black for a while, and put it through its paces. Then showed the world what speed really looks like
Hey Chad just thought I would post an update after having the RMlaser over the weekend I got it all hooked up and running and I am impressed and very happy with the purchase it was aligned right out of the box, it’s fast ,accurate and comparable to the big name brands but without the extremely high price tag. once again Chad I thank you for your video comparison and your help answering my 1000 questions lol. If anyone is interested in this machine do not hesitate it’s a high quality machine you will not regret it
I’ve been speaking with ray for the last week or so and am about ready to pull the trigger but am incredibly nervous about being scammed in any way I would prefer to purchase from a reseller here in the states but there are currently none located state side so importing direct is currently the only choice ! Any input you can help with to ease my nerves with making this big purchase from rmlaser ?
@@dallascoffin4611 I know that Alex from Laser everything on youtube recommends actually bypassing the resellers and going direct from the factories. I believe that as long as you buy with a credit card or PayPal you should have coverage over scams. I personally don't think Ray would scam you because if he is wanting to build up brand awareness and if anything did go wrong I would of course call him out for it via an updated video on the RM Lasers😄
@@dallascoffin4611 I have also been in contact with ray as well I’m looking at purchasing the rotary from him directly since they do not have any here in the states but I will say the machine is very well packaged the crate is heavy duty held together with bolts it’s not cheap packaging like a lot of others are I think you will be fine getting it shipped direct from them . My crate didn’t have a scratch on it and the laser was aligned and ready to go right out of the crate even after it a journey over seas. Ray seems extremely proud of his lasers I did a lot of digging and they have a decent size facility with employees and I doubt he is going to jeopardize all that to scam people out of a few thousand dollars
Problem with that speed is your PSU that has a response rate of 1ms, which will mean that you will get a 1mm error at 1000mm/s speeds, my machine can also do 900mm/s tops but its not about speed at all, as in many cases I have to slow it down to 500, because the HV PSU can not keep up.
Thank you Brannon! Has your air compressor been producing a lot of condensation recently? It might be that mine has to run constantly during laser use but if it wasn't for my big water separator all my air tools would be squirt guns aswell.
Hey Chads, I know this video is two years old but I was searching around and came up on it and I’mi nterested in buying Laser. How did you go upon buying it? Do you have a sales person?
@@neftaliramirez1034 Hi there, better late than never. You can search their site for their products and even purchase directly from us.rmlaser.com/?ref=CHAD
How was your delivery? Was it a lift gate. I received a quote from Angela, and she a lift gate would be used. I'm just making sure if this is so. Thank you
Delivery was great it was with a lift gate and though the 16 wheeler could not come into the driveway he helped me push it from the street up our long driveway up to inside my garage. I keep a $20 in my pocket on delivery days for good people like that.
Finally a video that helped me make my decision, thank you Chad 🙂 I go to the link to purchase and all are out of stock 😭 I guess its not yet my time for a laser machine!
Send an email to the owner of the laser company I believe a few more actually just made it to the US let him know Chad sent you and he will take great care of you. Ray@rmlaser.com
Hi Chad, We purchased the blue laser a few months ago after watching this. We've been pretty happy with it so far. Have you tried engraving Dual Color engraver stock with it? I haven't had much luck searching online for engraving with this 90W laser. Any help would be appreciated. The material we are attempting to engrave is called Duets Select By Gemini
Great video, congratulations on the new machine, looks great. I will get a real one hopefully by next year. Now I only have a XTool. D1 10 watt diode laser.
Hi Chads If you were engraving a map with lot of details names and numbers. What speed would you set blue at. On maple. My speed at 200mm/s 200 lines per inch Takes 2 hours Map 34.5 X 8”
I have been saving to get the red and black one. I’ve been using the k40 for 3 years. Need bigger laser. Now I’m saving for this one. Price is doable 😊
That's great to hear, red and black is still a good laser but the benefits you get for a little bit more makes the RM lasers worth it for someone really wanting to pursue lasering as a business.
How is the customer service? Does this machine use lightburn software? I’m trying to decide what laser to buy and I was set on the thunder laser but it’s so dang expensive! Does this company have financing options?
Customer service is great the company is still relatively small so customer service goes directly to the owner Ray or his assistant Yedda. I don’t believe they personally offer financing but you could do like I did for my shed. I got an 18month 0% credit card and set up auto pay to get it paid off before the 18 months is over. Yes it does use lightburn even though it doesn’t look like it, it is the industry standard ruida controller so it’s the best you can get.
Hello Chad, I was thinking about buying this exact laser, but I couldn't find it on the site of rmlaser. There is a 80W and 100W version, but not 90W. Also I see people commenting they have bought a RM750 laser, but I also can't find that one on the site.
Since RM is a smaller company I know often they go in and out of stock pretty quickly. I would recommend emailing the owner Ray@rmlaser.com and letting him know what you’re wanting and he can get you more information on what he can get for you. Let him know you are a friend of Chad and he will take great care of you.
I believe it was 1000/mms but it also does come down to how fast can the machines accelerate. For stench I like the seal up my laser products with satin spray lacquer
Hi Chad I just wanted to ask how your RM laser is still holding up. I’m in the process of purchasing a laser and this one seems to be the best bang for the money. Thanks!
Hey James my machine is holding up great. It’s been running now in my shop for 17 months now and I have had no issues. I am actually working on putting out an update video pretty soon so keep an eye out for that. But definitely a great bang for your buck with RM lasers.
It should be a 90w excluding shipping it would be around $5,000 I would think. They have a few in stock in the US link in the description if wanting to do a local pickup in CA you might be able to call in and get a discounted rate.
When I got the red and black lasers were not nearly as popular so prices were lower but it was $2000 the RM at that size in the US is about $5500 delivered
@@ChadsCustomCreations Thanks for the reply, it may be awhile anyway. We are scouting out land to buy to build another house and sell the one we have in Oregon. Can’t really buy any new toys until I have a shop to put them in. Lol but a bigger laser is on my list.
Jan 2020 was when I got mine so this makes 2 years. Plus problems with controller. So far biggest thing was hoses going loose cause water to get onto high voltage end of tube cracking tube and frying the power supply.
I can get it to a single pass at 3/mms sometimes faster, but there are parts of the pine like knots or glue lines that can really effect the cut. Though this is still using the stock lens so not really made for deep cuts $40 I can get a 4" focal lens and it will cut much better.
Hi Chad, just found your video as I am thinking of getting a co2 machine. I like in the UK. What is the spray you use on the metal so you could engrave on it? Thanks in advance
did you turn up the accleration and the speed on the older machine ? or just the speed ? both machines could do the same speeds with the correct gearing/steppers combo , your new machine even has a gear reduction slowing it down , given it higher resolution but it can go faster if you drop from a 60t to a 40t ;p
I have tried that before and sadly the results were skipped and missed steps causing messed up engravings. I believe the manufacturers normally already max out the specs that the motors can handle.
As far as I know Omtech is essentially taking unbranded machines like my red and black one and putting their name on them. I personally don't have experience with them but their specs seem to be similar to what my red and black laser are. The RM is just the next level up I would put it up there with what boss, thunder are selling at a fraction of the price.
I recently been entertaining the idea of starting my own engraving business. Kind in mind i really dont have much idea what im doing lol. Specially with what machines or softwares i would need.. Any advice on what machine would be good for a beginner like me..? Thanks and great videos!!!
Yes for someone starting out I would recommend the xtool D1 pro they just released here is their previous model which is also a good choice. ruclips.net/video/r_X0tKpoa7I/видео.html I'd say if the business takes off you will be able to eventually upgrade to a CO2 laser like my RM laser.
That's great I highly recommend it you can check the if in stock on the links in the description if not. You can email ray@rmlaser.com and he can let you know when the next shipment will arrive or he can also ship directly from his factory to you. If you send him a message let him know Chad sent you.
Yeah it would just reflect the beam the laser actually uses 3 mirrors to direct the beam from the laser tube in the back to the nozzle where it comes out. You can however engrave the backside of mirrors and remove the reflective coating which looks cool.
Been used daily in my super dusty woodshop still alive and kicking. And I run it at 100% most the time also. I am gonna do a follow video on this soon.
Thank you! You can check the links I have listed but it's possible they are out of stock and the owner of this company maybe transitioning to a new distributor soon. If you cannot find one on the links go and email the owner Ray at ray@rmlaser.com and let him know Chad sent you ordering directly from his factory will also most likely be cheaper.
Is that CW 3000 chiller working out? OMTech guys say it's too small for a 90W like yours. I'm waiting for help to get mine in the shop, and I'm really hoping the one he included is good enough. My shop usually stays between 50°-75°. Thanks
Yeah so it works as long as the temperature in the room doesn’t get above 75F mine is in a garage so around summer it starts to get too hot so I did purchase a cw5000 also. I say just depends on the person and what environment it will be in.
Hey there! Thanks for this video! I purchased one of these lasers last year and I am just now setting it up. Q? What are the 30 extra screws ( in a bag) for? Also, where does the included black exhaust fan connect to the system? I purchased an after market exhaust fan like your attic blower but now see RM included with my laser. Do I need two exhaust fans? Thanks!!
Not sure about the extra screws. One fan should be enough for it. I originally was using the AC infinity on my RM but my run of exhaust is so long going through my attic and out to a window I ended up putting the big loud and powerful exhaust fan back on to get better fume extraction.
Thanks! I just found the USB thumb drive in the packing it has all the manuals etc! I will read the docs and hopefully get it all set up . Excited to get this up and running
Nice video Chad. I just bought the RmLaser RM750 and was wondering if you have a video that covers the chiller and hooking up the air, like what is the input air pressure. Does the chiller automatically fill the tube when turned on the first time? Thanks
The chiller will fill the tube when you turn it on and make sure all the bubbles make their way out. You may need to add more water after turning on the chiller for the first time.
@@homiethefish So far I like it a lot my biggest issue is trying to figure out the software and different file types and conversions from one file to another
@@ChadsCustomCreations I was shown how to bypass the air system and have constant air. But if I put it back to the original placement of the valves, does the machine work properly when Lightburn tells it to use air or not? I have never seen any pressure on the gauge. Can an amp meter be added? Mine has one, but it is on the power supply behind the left hand panel.
Really need to do an update video on this, machine is still doing great no issues or repairs needed. And I swear I abuse the thing especially with it being in my super dirty dusty woodshop.
Back when I got mine I believe it was around $5600 usd you can ask for a quote from Ray@rmlaser.com let him know what you want and where it will be shipped. Tell him Chad sent you since ordering direct you maybe able to get a discount.
It’s called a metal marking spray this was made by brilance I believe but there are other brands like cermark or I think Omtech might even sell some now.
Still working out great for me. I've recently started making products that are cut out of 3/4" oak plywood and it is cutting so well about 3mm a second with 1 pass.
Yes they make rotaries for these and I have 2 of them. You just gotta make sure they have 24v stepper motors and you plug them directly into the Y axsis plug when doing rotary work.
Hey Chad! What is the outside dimension of the RM Laser? Wondering if I can fit this through my 36" shop door (door frame 34" 5/8ish). Don't have a garage door or roll up door.
I normally just get it at the correct height away from some test material and then do a pulse. If they are not both hitting where the laser pulsed just adjust them until they both meet at that point.
Hi Chad, We need to engrave acrylic sheets, woods and steel and cut MDF boards up to 10 mm, do you recommend this particular model and what wattage? Thanks in advance :)
Yes it is a great machine for that and will have no problem with 10mm. You cannot truly Engrave steel with a CO2 laser but you can use a marking spray like cermark which is what I do when working with metals. I love the 90w like I have but if I had the space the bigger 150w by RM laser is definitely worth the extra money for the power and size.
Another question I'm putting a logo on a stainless tumbler and power is 90 and speed 200 using cold galvanized compound and when I wipe off it takes everything off
Yeah I really am not a fan of the cold galvanized stuff it actually requires a very precise amount of power and Speed, and the fumes coming off of that stuff seems highly toxic. I prefer the brilance metal marking spray.
Make sure your air assist is extremely low or not on at all. I'll have to go check but I though I was doing like 100speed 100 power but I could be way off I know there is a big range in what it works with. Do you have a speed test file set up? You can make one with this www.o2creative.co.nz/laser/lightburn_basic_generator.php
Hi Chad .. did you find it easy to focus with the dual laser? Or you think autofocus would have made it more accurate and consistent when engraving quality.?
Personally I think the double laser pointer is better for me, you get a great visualization of if your materials are truly flat when framing and you can adjust it simply with a push of a button on your controller.
@@ChadsCustomCreations cool .never thought of that . Thanks.Your videos were very informative not just about the laser but also how to work and earn some good money ..! Did you ever think that if you had the bigger model 1390 would be better for you in general?
@@retrogazele Thank you for saying that! Yes if you have the space I say go with the 1390 it doesn’t cost much more for more power and much more capacity.
I’ve been looking for a laser I can fit in my basement but I haven’t found anything that’ll work. Is there anyway that this laser could be stripped down. I need it to fit through the door way that’s about 27 inches.
Ray @ RM Laser definitely needs to get his machines into the hands of more RUclips Influencers with Shops...if his Laser is this good then it needs to be reviewed by more users I have reached out to him but but my decision would be based on the support for tech support and parts here in the states...which they do not have have you had issues on parts or fixing anything on this since that time?
I’ve put out a second video featuring this laser after owning it for 18 months you should check it out. Customer support is great you message directly with Ray the owner or his assistant Yedda. All the parts for these machines are interchangeable so Ray can send you parts directly from warehouses in the states. I haven’t needed to replace any parts on mine yet though.
On the listing I have directing to toolots.com it comes with honey comb bed, water chiller, and exhaust fan. I believe you can also buy a rotary and compressor form there separately. Though I am not sure if toolots delivers to Europe it maybe better to buy direct from the factory in China you could ask the owner at ray@rmlaser.com
They would go check out my video on how I winterize my lasers. Heater and a pump added to the chiller is my technique others use RV antifreeze but I like keeping it at optimal lasering temps.
I use Chads winterization method and RV antifreeze in my rm1390. This is my first winter and its been cold here in Washington State and so far so good.
At that price range if you have the room for it I would recommend this particular RM laser or even the 130w which might put you over budget but it's size would be great for production and I have my eye on that model. I believe toolots.com is out of stock at the moment but a few viewers of this video are placing orders directly with the owner of the company Ray at ray@rmlaser.com if you send him a message let him know Chad sent you he may even be able to offer a discounted price if you order direct.
No Omtech would be the same as my Red and black laser in the video. The RM laser has the same build quality and speed that you would find in the boss lasers or Thunder but at a fraction of the price.
@@ChadsCustomCreations Just bought a RM750, . @@betobeto7903 that's great!!! I can't remember all the specs in the 750 but I believe it still kicks all the other no name lasers like my red and black and omtech in the butt. So even though smaller you are ending up with a high quality machine.

Chad that video helped me a lot. I've been looking into laser machines. I have a Shapeoko XXL 3 CNC right now and laser is my next purchase. I really don't know much about them however I've now taken a couple of classes. The teachers each mentioned that the biggest issue with Chinese lasers are there is no support to call when you have issues. Do you know if there are videos out there on setting and or changing the mirrors, lenses, belts etc. Also are there different size lenses and if so should I order several of each kind with this laser? I been emailing with Ray and let him know I found his laser on your RUclips site. I'm thinking of purchasing this next week so I'm just trying to make sure I can get some sort of support once I purchase it.
As far as support goes I don’t think talking to someone on the phone would help me get things like the mirrors aligned. All the Co2 laser set up and basic understanding is all over RUclips. Anytime I run into something I am not sure of if there is a video of it on RUclips and I need that cause I’ve got to see it to understand it. As for replacement parts and such everything is very universal but Ray is also great about sending parts or reimbursing for parts if there are any manufacturing defects.

@Jeff Lester that's great to hear, and don't be scared to ever ask for help I love sharing whatever knowledge I have gained from having these machines.
Just got my laser now all the questions on lightburn do I need just for computer or I see they have the controller on the laser. Do I need both or just the laptop I bought the blue 90watt that you showed. What laptop would you recommend size of hard drive and memory thanks for any help
Awesome, so lightburn on the computer will be where you do most of the stuff you plug into the machine via USB and can control it from there. The controller on the machine is good for moving the laser head around framing and simple things like that. Any normal computer or laptop will work LightBurn is very kind to even the slowest machines. Just no chromebooks
So pleased I found this video, I was just about to buy one of those red things! Not anymore... Great comparison video and great to see what it can do with wood but what about aluminium (or aluminum, as you guys say) sheet? What can it cut/engrave? Would love to see a vid on this - thanks again from the UK
So Aluminum can be marked with Co2 lasers if you look up Cermark co2 laser you will see what I an talking about. But they cannot engrave or cut metals. If you want to do that look into fiber lasers.

Hi Steve how are you liking your machine? Any issues?
Thx
Love seeing all the different uses of
Lasers out there and you guys posting these videos that help the laser game grown faster then ever and bear with me through the beginning of this comment the end will be helpful I hope! I love seeing all levels of uses for lasers but I have been trying to let you co2 guys know
That you might want to watch and keep tabs with your parts suppliers in the coming months. November 2022 and into 2023 is going to be a big year for
The direction of
Lasers, primarily the phasing out with co2 technology. I have been seeing it for a few years now a my job is to watch the industry close but many of the big guys have made it
Clear and will
Be announcing it very soon they they will stop producing and supporting co2 laser, parts, and training of future technicians on them.
Oh wow I really appreciate this information this gives me a lot to consider!
Thank you John.

If anyone is interested in this machine do not hesitate it’s a high quality machine you will not regret it
Did you purchase your machine from tool lots or direct from maunfacturer ?
That is so great to hear please keep me updated and if there is anything else I can help with reach out for sure.

I have also been in contact with ray as well I’m looking at purchasing the rotary from him directly since they do not have any here in the states but I will say the machine is very well packaged the crate is heavy duty held together with bolts it’s not cheap packaging like a lot of others are I think you will be fine getting it shipped direct from them .
Gotta remember that blue one for when I need to upgrade.
Absolutely using mine right now and goodness I love it. Thing is blasting through some 3/4" oak plywood
I absolutely LOVE my RM Laser!
Jennifer I am so glad to hear that, they seem to be an underrated laser company so it makes me happy to hear others like their machines also!
You’re right!
Ray Ming makes a good fiber laser too. I’m going to be buying a coz laser soon.
Glad to hear it so you are happy with your Fiber laser?
Love seeing the comparison. Big blue is sick! Also, I have that same Californian air tank. It’s been great!
Thank you Brannon! Has your air compressor been producing a lot of condensation recently? It might be that mine has to run constantly during laser use but if it wasn't for my big water separator all my air tools would be squirt guns aswell.

Hi Chad,
We purchased the blue laser a few months ago after watching this. We've been pretty happy with it so far. Have you tried engraving Dual Color engraver stock with it? I haven't had much luck searching online for engraving with this 90W laser. Any help would be appreciated.
The material we are attempting to engrave is called Duets Select By Gemini
I just ordered some samples I am betting low power and high speed and adjusting the air assist will be essential for these.
Matt Abundes where did you purchase your big blue from. Were you able to purchase directly from Ray in China. If so how did you pay?
Thank you for taking the time to make and post this video. How much(ballpark) does the blue machine cost?
Last I checked it would be around $5600
Great video, congratulations on the new machine, looks great. I will get a real one hopefully by next year. Now I only have a XTool. D1 10 watt diode laser.
Thank you xtool is great but if you are finding your production demands or cutting needs to be more a CO2 laser is definitely the next step.
Hi Chads
If you were engraving a map with lot of details names and numbers. What speed would you set blue at. On maple.
My speed at 200mm/s 200 lines per inch
Takes 2 hours
Map 34.5 X 8”
On maple it can be tough to keep it dark you may have to keep it slow like that.
What did you spray on steel before engraving it? Do you have a dedicated video for that?
Brilliance metal marking spray I believe I have it in my Amazon links in the description
I have been saving to get the red and black one. I’ve been using the k40 for 3 years. Need bigger laser. Now I’m saving for this one. Price is doable 😊

Sir Thank you for your reply working on ordering one now how long was the ship time ?
That's great to hear, I am sure Ray could tell you when delivery would be if it is already in the US I would bet within 2 weeks.
Hello Chad,
I was thinking about buying this exact laser, but I couldn't find it on the site of rmlaser.
Two questions, what was the high speed you ran on the RM laser and what do you do about the stench on finished goods?
I believe it was 1000/mms but it also does come down to how fast can the machines accelerate.
For stench I like the seal up my laser products with satin spray lacquer
Do you know what size linear rails are in this machine? That thing moves!
Yes they are .6" wide
Hi Chad I just wanted to ask how your RM laser is still holding up. I’m in the process of purchasing a laser and this one seems to be the best bang for the money. Thanks!
Hey James my machine is holding up great. It’s been running now in my shop for 17 months now and I have had no issues. I am actually working on putting out an update video pretty soon so keep an eye out for that. But definitely a great bang for your buck with RM lasers.

It's for the air assist; it keeps your lens clean, stops flame on organic materials, and makes for better and cleaner cuts.
What is the approximate price for the RM960Pro 80w, excluding shipping costs?
It should be a 90w excluding shipping it would be around $5,000 I would think. They have a few in stock in the US link in the description if wanting to do a local pickup in CA you might be able to call in and get a discounted rate.
Can you give an idea of pricing. Vs red black?
When I got the red and black lasers were not nearly as popular so prices were lower but it was $2000 the RM at that size in the US is about $5500 delivered
Great video 👍🏻 I would be interested but traveling right now. If you don’t mind me asking what was the price of the laser? And the shipping?

Thanks for the reply, it may be awhile anyway. We are scouting out land to buy to build another house and sell the one we have in Oregon. Can’t really buy any new toys until I have a shop to put them in. Lol but a bigger laser is on my list.
How long have you had 'Big Red"? I am in my 3rd year with mine. Starting to have problems with the Ruida controller.
Jan 2020 was when I got mine so this makes 2 years. Plus problems with controller. So far biggest thing was hoses going loose cause water to get onto high voltage end of tube cracking tube and frying the power supply.
Great video! Thanks for all the info. I'm curious how many passes did it take to cut the 3/4" pine?
I can get it to a single pass at 3/mms sometimes faster, but there are parts of the pine like knots or glue lines that can really effect the cut. Though this is still using the stock lens so not really made for deep cuts $40 I can get a 4" focal lens and it will cut much better.
Hi Chad, just found your video as I am thinking of getting a co2 machine. I like in the UK. What is the spray you use on the metal so you could engrave on it? Thanks in advance
Cermark, or brilliance metal marking spray.
did you turn up the accleration and the speed on the older machine ? or just the speed ? both machines could do the same speeds with the correct gearing/steppers combo , your new machine even has a gear reduction slowing it down , given it higher resolution but it can go faster if you drop from a 60t to a 40t ;p
I have tried that before and sadly the results were skipped and missed steps causing messed up engravings. I believe the manufacturers normally already max out the specs that the motors can handle.
I got ahold of Ray how does this compare to the ohmtec lase if you know looking at these 2?
As far as I know Omtech is essentially taking unbranded machines like my red and black one and putting their name on them. I personally don't have experience with them but their specs seem to be similar to what my red and black laser are. The RM is just the next level up I would put it up there with what boss, thunder are selling at a fraction of the price.
Just curious...what is the product you sprayed on the steel so you could engrave on it? Thanks.
I used Briillance metal marking spray but there are other brands too like cermark.
I recently been entertaining the idea of starting my own engraving business. Kind in mind i really dont have much idea what im doing lol. Specially with what machines or softwares i would need.. Any advice on what machine would be good for a beginner like me..? Thanks and great videos!!!
Yes for someone starting out I would recommend the xtool D1 pro they just released here is their previous model which is also a good choice. ruclips.net/video/r_X0tKpoa7I/видео.html

Absolutely reach out to me if you need any guidance on anything.
I have a question what if you cut a mirror would the laster reflect and hurt you?
Yeah it would just reflect the beam the laser actually uses 3 mirrors to direct the beam from the laser tube in the back to the nozzle where it comes out. You can however engrave the backside of mirrors and remove the reflective coating which looks cool.
How is this laser holding up after almost a year? We’ve been looking at OmTech.

Nice video Chad. I just bought the RmLaser RM750 and was wondering if you have a video that covers the chiller and hooking up the air, like what is the input air pressure. Does the chiller automatically fill the tube when turned on the first time? Thanks
You can send whatever air pressure you like with the regular I have it set to 5psi when engraving and 20 psi when cutting.
The chiller will fill the tube when you turn it on and make sure all the bubbles make their way out. You may need to add more water after turning on the chiller for the first time.

Have you needed support after purchase? How’s their customer support?
Support is great, it is currently based on China so communication can be a little delayed but they are the actual manufacturer so they know their stuff. Also I’ve heard the owner is currently working on US based support.
@@ChadsCustomCreationsI spoke with Ray last night. He gave me a lot of confidence in his machine and he gave me a good idea of who I’d be working with. I considered it a good experience.
How much is the cost of the blue one? Great Content!🌟👌🏼🙏🏼👍🏼
I believe it was about $5600 usd but this was awhile ago.
@@ChadsCustomCreations hey Chad do you have any videos or planing to do with plastic or fabric?
@@ChadsCustomCreations that blue machine it definitely makes more sense than the red one
@@FidelElvira I actually just have recently gotten into two colored plastics for sign and trophy making and it is amazing. I plan on putting out more edutainment soon busy has just been super busy this year. Really thanks to Big Blue for keeping up with all the demand with no issues.
do you have a basic materials power / speed setting chart?
i have laser experience but new to lightburn.
thanks
or do you sell one in your etsy shop?
Sadly I am not organized well enough to keep up with that like others have. I do have a engrave test file and a cut test file that I run when working with a new material.
Hi Chad, I’m doing a little search for Big Blue now, not coming up with much. What site did you order it from?
I ordered from toolots.com but they don't stay in stock for very long. You can order directly from contacting ray@rmlaser.com he is the owner and designer of the machine he can ship directly from his factory and you may also get a better price this way aswell. Let him know Chad sent you 😉
Hi Chad. Hope you are well. May I ask what you use to clean the black residue after cutting or engraving. Regards Elize
Isopropyl alcohol works pretty good but recently I’ve discovered LA Awesome does even better.
@@ChadsCustomCreations thanks so much. Will try the alcohol as I have no idea what LA is🙈😆
Oki doki. Search LA now. Not available in my country unfortunately 😔
@@elizeduplessis7920 I was afraid of that I’ll take a look at the active ingredient and let you know what they put in it.
Sadly no information on the ingredients here it is on Amazon if you wanna take a look.

what type of adhesive or glue did you use to put the knife and the handles together?
I used 5 minute epoxy
Hi Chad quick question. You have had this Blue laser for a few months now. Are you still liking it or have you had any problems with it yet? I have emailed Ray and looking into it. Thanks
No problems with it at all still loving it. I am actually just finishing up another batch of 48 12x12 signs for a clothing company and it did great.
@@ChadsCustomCreations for the whole year have you changed a laser tube? Also is it compatible with light burn?
@@marianecarandang8315 my first laser tube is still seems to be running at 100% power even with how much I use it and run it at full power. I have changed the tube on my red laser it’s not hard. Yes it is compatible with LB it is a ruida controller.
@@ChadsCustomCreations Chad we were going back and forth on messenger and now it looks like you blocked me or for some reason I can no longer message you. in any case thank you for the reply on here and everything you answered on messenger. You mention there are RUclips videos out there for any type of work needed to the laser are there some on this specific laser or do you pick a topic and watch it due to most of the lasers being so similar?
@@stevewoodrich5130 pretty much any co2 maintenance will be the same no matter what the brand is so no worries on finding the specifics.
@@stevewoodrich5130 Did you end up buying the RM laser? I'm looking into one right now with Ray and want other feedback if I can?
were did you get this laser from?
Hey there, i was planing to start a small bussiness, and was wondering is it possible to cut metall sheets with this laser( max.thickness 5mm) ? 🤔
No I am sad to say I haven’t be able to cut metal with this laser.

What’s the power on your laser tube? Do you have link for their website?
I should have said that in the video this has a true 90w reci tube in it. Links are in the description
How much, if you don't mind me asking?
Back then it was around $5,600 to my door
How do you convert the air from the compressor connector to the small tube on the laser?
This bundle should get you there.

Is the red one an OMtech? thank you
It is a no name but pretty much the same as the omtech lasers
Nice Bro!
Thank you for watching!
have you cut steel with this, and does it run on 220 or 120 volts?
This one can run on either I set mine to be 120v. I can’t seem to get my Co2 lasers to even mark metals but surprisingly I’ve cut 22 gauge steel with this new 70w diode laser.

Chad,
Would this blue laser cut through 1/8 belted rubber cleanly? Would you be willing to cut a sample for me if I send you material?

Whats the cost of big blue?
In the United States your looking at $5500 to $6000 depending on west cost or east coast delivery.
If you get light burn for the machine do you need a laptop? And what is a good rotary for this machine?
Yes lightburn is used with a laptop. Pretty much any rotary with a 24v XLR plug will be ready to go.
Thanks for the info Im green to all this want to buy this machine when they come in stock. Want to have a small business when I retire
Anytime, cheers!
