I’ve watched like 10 videos of yours over the past few days. There’s a lot of people that do these UX experience videos, but yours are the most approachable and helpful! Thank you!
I've been binging your videos and and am finding them so helpful and practical. I appreciate the all the real world tips and details. I'm a teacher looking to transition to UX (background in psychology and art) and I'm also a RUclipsr so I know how much time and effort is involved in what you're doing here. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
Thank you for this video! I have watched a lot of videos on this topic but most of them just give vague general advices, I love that you gave actionable examples
So glad this came up on my feed today. I’m a new General Assembly grad and have started the most daunting part of being funemployed: networking. Thanks for the straightforward and helpful video. Take care :)
Love the email demos! Most people suck at putting in a specific call to action in their emails, leaving me to go "uhhhh .. what am I supposed to do?" lol And +1 on the follow up! That's like one of the easiest ways to stand out.
I always feel so awkward messaging people to take up their time. for someone who gets messaged a lot, what kind of conversations have been the most interesting?
I'm currently making my way through GA's UXDi pre-work thanks to inspiration from your videos! Thanks for continuing to share helpful tips for landing a career in UX!! Will definitely be implementing these networking best practices!
Appreciate the work you put into your videos, Christine! It really helps newbies like me when you go an extra mile to include examples and elaborate over the points you're making
Would love to learn how you balance your job and doing RUclips at the same time! And how you started doing it. I would love to make RUclips videos about UX as well but I’ve only been working for a year and there’s a lot of imposter syndrome haha
Perhaps it could be a good start to write down your thoughts? Because I think people would like to hear some stories about how the experience is if you are a junior UXer.
I am soooooooo glad you stopped with typical girly make-up/beauty garbage.. and entered this domain that only 3% of woman really want to be a part of. Communication is SUCH a struggle for me, but i get that its a skill and can be developed and its really nice to find a strong female to take the lead~ i will gladly follow you!
really dislike people like you who got lucky with landing a big name design job then start acting entitled and start thinking you know everything and your way is the right way to do things. you're not superior. you just really like to talk about yourself and flex instacart. people who got lucky and landed big pay design jobs via nepotism shouldn't talk. humble yourself.
Why do not you give an introduction who you are? Usually I trash all messages without any meaningful introduction. Another suggestion: do not spread your CV without getting a request for it.
This has been very informative. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and explain these tips. :D The email demos were a great add-on to this video. Appreciate it!
also there was literally a typo in your first email demo.. you wrote check our your portfolio instead of check out... selling a product that doesnt even work? lmao
This was great, thank you! The only issue with this is that LinkedIn has a 300 character limit if you're just sending a regular note along with a connection request, so I'm having a hard time fitting what I want to say within that limit when sending a connect request to someone working at a company I'm interested in to ask for a referral. Any advice on what I should do in this situation?
