Very good tutorial! Watching this saved me a lot of time. Much better than written instructions. Thank you very much! 🙇 My Eureka Mignon Specialità is all set up now. ☕
User manual says you can change display contrast level. There are 1-7 options in the menu. But when I change, nothing changes, brightness and contrast look exactly the same on any setting. Is it a bug, do I have a faulty grinder, or there is no such option in fact?
Thanks for the video. I own the Specialita for about 8 months now. I started noticing problems with it when I opened it to clean it. First I thought it was the misalignment and I fixed it but even now, I can only get my 20-25 second extraction when the burrs are touching each other. No one talked about this on RUclips and I don't know if that's normal or not. Where do you get your sweet spot? The local dealer won't look at it as long as it's still grinding and running. So that's useless.
Same problem here but even with 0.5 degrees I still don’t get the right extraction. I didn’t try your case which it seems setting the grind at zero yet. I wish you reply if you fixed the problem.
From what I see, the setting for "espresso" is between 5 and 0, but is this valid for all Mignon Specialita, and any type of bean ❓ I feel like I can't find the right one grind . . .
I' m not an expert but try to answer you. It depend from many aspects. Umidity of bean, kinf of bean, age of bean and grade of roast. It dipends also from your machine and from its output water pressure and fron type of basket screen and quality/intensity of tamper. Finally in italy we make an espresso of ish 25ml from 7grams of beans out on 25 sec..yankee make always things in huge mode..and doubling the weight 😅
@@Makis46 no it is not, probably also because often bar serve mostly(cheaper) robusta beans. Nespresso prefilled capsules hold just 5-6 grams gor single shot..
Hi @sobolblade7565, thank you for your interest in our products. We kindly suggest you set the grinding range between 0.5 and 3 starting from your point zero. You can find more information about how to dial your grinder by watching the following video: ruclips.net/video/_AmtBzR6cOA/видео.html We remain available for further questions. Greetings from Florence! Eureka.
Dear Ricky Garcia😁, thank you for the question, is it possible to know where are you living ? in order to indicate you our retailer with the product that you desire.
@@rickygarcia1926 Thank you for the prompt reply, I kindly ask you to contact us here: www.eureka.co.it/en/form.aspx asking where to buy a 15bl Mignon Specialità in the states, because unfortunately for privacy reasons I can't communicate it here
I have this grinder, It can work for single dosing but for the best grind consistency, I find that it's way better to have the hopper full or always semi-full. If you want single dosing there are better grinders for this like sette270 or the niche zero. If you still not convinced and want Eureka you can make some modifications to remove the standard hopper, and some kind of tube thing, and at the end of the tube a bulb of rubber and that bulb should blow up the air to remove the whole grind while grinding. (search on youtube, Eureka single dosing). This way you can achieve quite a good solution for single dosing with Eurika but I don't really recommend the hassle.
Re Elio...We had the sette grinder. I just wanted to mention that that grinder is full of plastic parts and really under built. We had it for 18 months and it was toasted after that. Threw a bearing and then that destroyed the planet gear assembly. Really a poorly built machine. Works great though for as long as it happens to work.
Dear Joe, if you are interested in single dosing we could suggest you our Mignon Single Dose Hopper in combination with our Mignon Single Dose blow Up Cleaning 😊
Question, for double shot the default factory setting is too low 11 and does not fill portafilter basket for my Rocket Cellini machine. What is good value? Also for dark roast espresso, what is good rule of thumb for grind? I only use it for espresso nothing else.
Eureka, please get a hopper attachment with a clamp on instead of screws. Secondly, on my "pavoni cilindro" made by you, it has a very small metal nut when you lift the top to clean. Why in the world would you put a small nut close to a grinder intake!? its insane and its so small and hidden you easily miss it!
Hi @samker5491, thank you for your feedback. There can be many reasons for your situation (coffee type, roasting type, burrs conditions, ACE system's conditions are worn out, coffee quantity you grind, etc.) so we kindly ask you to provide us with more details for articulating an accurate response. Nevertheless, we suggest you open a report with the reseller where you purchased our grinder and coordinate the assistance you need with his technical support team. Please know that the management of the assistance after the purchase towards the end user is a task of the reseller with whom the end user concludes the purchase, which then directly relates to the manufacturer. Please keep us updated. Greetings from Florence! Eureka.
I bought your product the eureka Mignon Specialita a month ago and it takes me 20 second to grind 18g I saw in the video that this machine supposed to grind 20g in 10 seconds. What is the problem with my machine???

My Specialita clogged daily after two weeks of use. My previous grinder, a Mazzer, never clogged up in 15 years of use. I do not recommend, unless you just want a pretty door stop.

How often need to be cleanded for espresso grinding?
What grind setting should I choose for espresso?
it depends on the beans you are using. in general you aim for about 25 seconds of extraction as far as i am concerend

You can do both. Just look into a single dose hopper to attach to this. There are many mods around the Internet for that.

Dear, mignon Specialità productivity (for espresso) is 1,4 - 1,8 g/s 😊
What is he pressing on 1 min 57 sek?
2 buttons at the same time
Whats the average secs for an 18g coffee? My specialita is grinding it for 22 sec which i find too slow from other owners experience.
Mine does 18 grams in 10.5 seconds.
@@Stardustparadise418 thats awesome, unfortunately mine does almost 30sec now
My specialita is on the way. Wondering whether I should get a single dose hopper and blow up to reduce retention, after reading the reviews?
14 gr in 8 sec(brand new machine)
I end up replacing my burr and now 9sec for 18g
Best

Retention is also insanely high, idk how its possible for such a new machine.
The coffee makes a mess and doesn’t land all in portafilter , not like the video here, why?

in the manual explains the time, its different for diferents grind size
Minimum for espresso grind size is about 1.3-1.5 grams per second. If this is not reached, something is wrong with this grinder.
