Super excited to get this one. So happy that it actually has the Harley one shot in this. I already have it in the Batman: Harley Quinn TPB but I'm happy to see it collected in an omni. Sometimes DC makes good decisions. Sometimes.

I really hope that these omnis continue the run in to a Batman by Brubaker omni, a New Gotham Omni & a Bruce Wayne: Murderer/Fugitive omni! Fingers remain crossed. Would love the Contagion/Legacy omni too!
Those would be very thin omnis, I'm afraid. The Brubaker second tpb is pretty much the same as Murderer. Maybe if you include War Games, you could get some good books.

@@amorbavianWell before Tynnion. This is a little after Knightfall and before both Dini and Morrison from the current Omnibus range. They have just announced a Bruce Wayne Murder/Fugitive which would be a little after this. But still no Contagion which would happen between Knightfall and No Mans Land
Can’t wait. Rucka is one of my favorite writers, and this era was wonderful for strengthening the Batfamily. Thanks for the overview.
I love this storyline. The best Batman crossover EVER. I loved rereading the newer TPBs last year
i like how in this book the art gets more and more modern as you go
Finally, I remember borrowing the thick trades and reading most of this. At first felt daunting but as you mentioned stories like Montoya and Dent,, the Identity of Batgirl just keeps you engaged as well as Batman unifying his team.
It's good to know this whole run is planned out in oversized format. Can't wait to dive into this world once more. Thanks Omar for the amazing overview.
I just got my copy too. I actually haven’t been so excited to read a Batman comic in a couple years. I think a lot of us might have overdosed on Batman and subsequently taken a bit of a Batman break. We’ll, breaktime is over. Enter: No Man’s Land

Just made an order last week for the "Road to" omni, so now I'm invested in this story and will obviously get vol. 1 too :)
Might have to wait 1 or 2 months though due to budget constraints. Not too worried about it becoming OOP - even if it sells out now, DC will surely do a stealth reprint when vol.2 comes along.
Glad to see they finally collected the Harley Quinn One Shot with NML after missing it in both the previous TPB series of releases!

I have the tbp volumes of the entire NML but I just had to get this omni to sit next to my road to NML omni. I just hope the second volume comes out soon!
Hi Omar. You have a great way of doing reviews. I buy Omnibus's and have only one rule for deciding whether to purchase one or not. If you're reviewing an Omnibus, then it's a buy. If any comic has not been reviewed by you, then it's a no-buy. I've noticed you only make videos of those books which are worth buying and collecting. Great job. Keep it up. God bless

When these issues originally came out I was limited to only $20 a month for comics and I decided to stick to image and indies (cause I would get full stories without crossovers) so I missed out on a bunch of cool stuff from DC and Marvel that I now get to buy in Omnibus.

DC's doing great with these NML omnis! I have the new editions of the trades and I won't be upgrading, but this event clearly deserved its own set of omnis. What an original, dense and entertaining storyline!
Hi Omar, I finally got my omni, but I can’t read it until vol 2 comes, so it’ll be 2 years in total from road, to vol 2 until I can read it all for the first time. Such a long wait, a year between books. Great overview as always, thanks my brother 😊

Guess that was my last time as well since Omar is mostly responsible for me building my back catalogue: last March I saw your overview of the Road to No Man's Land omnibus and got so excited I've ordered the book immediatelly. I've read about the storyline years ago, but never had a chance to get my hands on it. Then I've seen your Batman reading order videos and through April and May 2021 I've collected all the Caped Crusader/Dark Knight Detective TPBs, Death in the Family and Year Two books, the three Knightfall omnis and Contagion with Legacy TPBs - I plan on reading them all in order, hopefully I have some time till they publish the second No Man's Land omnibus :-D

I'm apprehensive on this one. I enjoyed the NML storyland - both in comic and audiobook form. However, I keep reading comments on this omnibus' binding being way below par. Wondering what you guys think
i got a copy for xmas and read the whole thing, book is VERY creeky but had no issues with it.
My copy seems fine. I haven’t read it yet but I’ve gone they the book to give it a good breaking in. I was actually pretty happy with the binding.

Great review!!! This looks like a great book, however, I think I will be passing on it as I purchased the original five trades, then the larger updated trades. I am not sure I can justify purchasing this story again.

Got my copy today, arrived late as well, so excited to finally read No Man's Land, never read the story before!
However, my Omni doesn't have an eye, I opened it properly twice but still lays super flat, like it's glued to the board of the spine.. anybody have that problem as well? Is that going to be a problem?

I got this book a week ago. Such a pretty book and looks great next to RTNM.
got this book day 1 and my only complaint is the noise of it. as in it creaks and groans every time i pick it and scares the crap out of me. that being said read the whole book and no issues so thats a plus lol.
I’ve just finished Knightfall. Can I just jump straight into this, and skip contagion and road to no man’s land?
I love DC but I hate their qualities of paper they use for a lot of their books! They use that old recycled paper material that is very fine and grainy and feels like paper they used in the mid late 90’s.
Mine came in Thursday. But i know you feel the same, that we want THAT Batgirl omnibus. (Not to drop names, since you refrained lol.) I keep hoping.

Does Road to No Man's Land add a lot to the this book and a required read? Or is it fine to skip and dive right into No Man's Land?
I read No Man's Land on DC Universe Infinite and skipped all the Road to stuff. All you need to know is that an earthquake hit Gotham and the US government declared it a no man's land. The story itself will fill you in on everything else. No Man's Land is one of my favorite Batman stories so I recommend you try it out!

When i got it i was disappointed with the gloss finish dust jacket. Wonder if the road to reprint has a gloss or mat finish. Oh well im almost ready to read vol 1.

I used to have the NML books and then the fuckers at TSA lost a few volumes on me when I was taking them through the airport when I moved from NY to CO. My favorite moment was when Two-Face was on trial with himself.
I rather liked this story, so knowing they are releasing the series in omnibus form means at some point I'll pick them up. I still have to get the Knightfall books along with Brave and the Bold Volume 3 and Grant Morrison 1 and 3.

Hi guys I'm a total noob when I comes to comics. My question is: this book is this one big story or separate chapters of batman?
It’s the beginning of a huge story arc collected through the issues of Batman, Detective, Azrael and Nightwing for example.
I'm conflicted on if I should get this, the Ultimate Spider-Man omnibus, or The New 52 Justice League omni.
Rough decision,maybe Omar will chime in what he thinks.

@@NearMintCondition With a story this old, you could be forgiven for spoilers, I believe.
This arc came when publishers were just overwhelming readers with too-massive crossover events and amid/just after the crash. The quality of art across many Marvel + DC books (including these) took a precipitous dive in this window of time too. Even so - somewhat intrigued by this just because it's a period when I personally checked out after reading all of the Bat titles for years.
Cheap Graphic novels take to long to send the books. more than 10 days after the shipment advice. they need to improve.
I don’t own their place of business, but I know they did put a note on their website about delays.
I really dislike the logo. They should always use era appropriate logos on the Omnibus covers.
It's such a small thing that only matters for hardcore fans, but I'd also argue that omnis are for the hardcore fans. While the logo isn't a deal breaker, I do agree with you.
