A GREAT feature would be to be able to have VIDEO ONLY selection that allows immediate download at ANY time and the only still is a thumbnail of the first frame of the video sent as notification.

@RevealbyTactacam Just throwing out some feedback on the two new cameras. While I am ready to get my hands on these new products and put them to the test in the deer woods, it would be great if the pro models came with a lithium battery. Other than that, I feel like these new products are a homerun. Good job fellas and keep the improvements coming!

Internal memory helps get projects started under budget. The high speed cards are expensive. Antenna was a huge flaw in the last one. Tank like camera with a feather for an antenna. Glad there’s improvements.

I like the improvements. I have 9 cameras so far, and will probably pick some of this model up! It would be awesome to have a livestream feature though!! Or a model with livestream capabilities!

I've had an ongoing problem when a video fails to upload, you cannot request it again, big issue for me. This doesn't look like it was addressed as support has told me there are others with that issue. The extended length from 15 sec to 30 is good though.

Glad you fixed the antenna issue. I've had 2 Reveal cameras break from the adhesive on the inside of the antenna housing breaking loose. The wire would twist off when tightening the antenna, unbeknownst to me, making it unable to acquire a signal. I love my Tactacams, but I feel like that should've been a free fix.

@@RevealbyTactacam I did. The cameras were out of the one year warranty so it was going to be shipping them back at my expense plus the cost of repairs.
@@RevealbyTactacam For the record, I'm not mad. For the most part I'm really happy with your products. I was just hoping because this was a known issue on multiple cameras that a return label would be sent and repairs taken care of without any expenses on my end.

Couple important questions I have regarding video are 1) Does the video still start AFTER any still images are captured or does it now start recording video immediately at the same time of the stills? 2) Can I get immediate video downloads at ANY TIME instead of having to waiting for a camera check in if it's after the 5 minute window?
#1 right here. So frustrating to have a photo then video is delayed to the point of capturing nothing.
@@trutwijd YEP! Makes the video almost useless and I even turned off my burst photos of three to one so my video HOPEFULLY can start sooner. IF the video still starts after the pics then the new 5 shot burst does absolutely nothing IMO.
Video starts after but there is no delay while the photos send so the response time is significantly improved.
2- set your settings to instant and your video request will come through on the check in without delay
Have to agree with you on this one. That has been a problem for me also. Wasted videos that capture nothing much of the time. @@trutwijd
I have 5 of the older Reveal models. I love them! They do everything I need them to do.
I take my own countermeasures against nuisance wildlife. Bear mats are very effective!
I built my own solar power stations, so internal battery life isn’t a factor for me.
The internal memory would help those users who forget to bring SD cards after driving 60 miles to deploy cameras. But I keep spare cards in my truck.
The internal SIM card is cool. I wish my cameras had that because cell service can be spotty in the woods.
I’m very content with the current response time and picture quality. So I don’t need that improvement.
This upgraded camera doesn’t bring enough extra capability to justify replacing my entire camera fleet. As mine fail (if they ever do 🤪), I’ll be forced to buy the newer models. I only hope camera reliability doesn’t suffer as a byproduct of the enhancements.
I previously emailed Tactacam a list of software (I think) improvements that would make the cameras more operationally effective for hunting requirements. But alas, there was never any feedback given on those. As a night hog hunter, I use these cameras as cueing devices. So a big feature I’d like to see is the ability to activate alerts individually for each camera.

Are you able to plug into the camera on site to download the pictures and videos? Off the internal storage?
You can’t plug in to the camera, but if you use an optional sd card and card reader, this will give you the option to pull those photos. Can also request hd or photo or video and download it.
Will the camera work with the antenna clipped to the side, I have a problem with elk snapping the antenna
The new antenna is much more durable, and a New security box coming that will support the antennas.
It is crazy to me companies come out with new cameras and not lock boxes for them at the same time. Or better yet having the lock box features built into the camera! I have 2 xb models and will try the 3.0 pro if/when a lock box comes out.

Pressured public land hunter here. Does the camera have to be powered on, in order for the GPS location frature to be activated? Reason I ask, my cameras have been known to walk off during the season. It would be nice to be able to use the GPS feature to direct local law enforcement to the sticky fingers house.
correct, camera has to be on!
It also gives the location as of the last update, which is not necessarily the same location that a thief had turned it off.
@@tonybyrne3613 I agree these camara's need to be able to be tracked with battery's out or off . What good is GPS signal when it gets stolen and 1st thing they do is shut it off & pull battery's. They should also be selling hat's /covers for these to keep snow/ ice and heavy rain off lense. Antenna upgrade i like i wonder how good the signal will be with it flipped down though . i lost 6 antenna's last year to bears they dont like them sticking up .
How much better did the quality of pics and video get? What is the exact difference between the upgrades on the X-Pro to this new camera?

What is the difference in the on demand videos on the Pro? Is it la livestream video? Livestreaming option would be awesome!
@@bellaherna1 essentially if you want a real time clip whenever you want, you can request an on demand video. So if you know an animal or something is by your camera, or just want an update of what’s in front of your camera/how things are looking, you can get a clip of that at the tap of a request

They don't fit in old security boxes due to new antenna location. New security boxes coming later this summer

So i have 9 of the 2.0 cams. Just swapped batteries with a new set and it only shows 60%. Can we have a ETA of the 3.0 coming to canada. Its really holding up some scouting trips i have to the deep bush. Archery season opens in one month in Alberta Canada.

How many pictures can be saved on the new internal storage?
for average users, give or take about a month of photos.
So how will you clear the 8gb of internal storage?

What about shutter speed? Has that improved at all. I saw the wrong end of many deer on my camera last year. I do like the idea of on-demand video. Will your subscription packages remain the same? I would like to see free on-demand video and maybe 5 free videos a month and HD pictures really shouldn't cost me extra.
Shutter speed is optimized to get game in center frame and is sub .5 second. Subscriptions are the same
Do these new cameras have an internal lithium battery to power the gps say a thief steals it and removes the batteries?

@@AckBoaterI’ve asked it before when they talk about gps capabilities being used for theft. Unless there is an internal battery you can’t track it. Now if a thief is dumb enough to turn it back on they can track it.
