So I skipped ahead a few steps while waiting on your video to drop and I've installed a bunch of mods including but not limited to SkyUI and some dependents. Will I need to do a fresh install again or can I just disable the mods and start a new save?
SkyUI is actually working for me without a problem so far.. I already have 80+ mods :D and the list is growing... still waiting for that FSMP update, hair and clothes physics are still broken :/.. author said it should update it later today or tommorow... and 1st time using animations from Verolevi.. with TDM Skyrim feels like a brand new game
@@FightEagleVideos usually you should be good.. sort load order and if you installed all other required mods and fixes for main mods you wanted, you should be fine... and new game/save is the best way after "finishing" your mod list.. tho most mods can be installed mid playthrough
@@anthooktt1403 Me too until I try to install almost anything else. I also have about 90 mods/patches right now. Trying to install any community shaders, hunterborn mcm (hunterborn works but not mcm), wet and cold, etc. so far causes constant crashes. I was able to disable those and the game is stable so far.

5 episodes into this guide and now i can see how i've had no idea how to install mods properly and having over 350 mods a few years ago on my old laptop working well must have been a miracle lol . Either that or i just forget and have to re learn modding every few years when i come back to the game
I was having issues with: XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE I had to turn "Adult Content" by hovering over pfp in the top right > site preferences > content blocking and it was the first setting there. Hope this helps if anyone else has this issue.
I really love these videos. Recently came back to modding the game and you provide a good refresher for the anniversary edition of the game, clear and to the point.
Really appreciate these videos. I've tried using modpacks before but too many issues and not enough support from others so I wanted to try learning on my own. I like how these videos are bite sized pieces of info that I can work on when they get uploaded so I don't try to do too much and overwhelm myself with modding in one sitting.

For anyone having this issue, he skips over "enable" kind of quickly. You need to go over to the left box, and tick the box called Project New Reign - Nemesis.

I'm sorry I must be missing something, but I follow the walkthroughs step by step. The first time I did it nothing worked, besides skse and the anniversary content picker, so I deleted everything and started over completely from scratch. Still, it does not work and there are steps that my mod organizer has that yours does not display or vice versa, also being on windows 11 it's hard to follow along because there are certain things that I have to jump through hoops to accomplish that you don't have to do because you're on windows 10 :(

The finis tick box isn't even present after running nemesis and going into the plugins list... Is that a redundant or removed feature? because I can't find it anywhere in the plugins. Only the XPMSE esl and the race menu plug in stuff are there.

Appreciate your kind words thank you. Saved games may or may not work with new mod builds. When starting afresh always assume the previous saves cannot be used
I member the days when I had to keep the .rar FIles of the mod to keep track of them ahhh.... Fun times. Btw, I still have a functionning Nmm Installation and I refuse to delete it, I spent too much time on it xD

Nemesis isn’t appearing in the executable toolbar when installed, Attempting to manually add it results in ‘exception caught. Directory couldn’t locate “mods\”.’
I followed your steps one by one since first video. Then I tried to download nemesis. I had to change settings to link it to nexus. I installed nemesis. Not only now it does not open MO2, only the uninstaller, but I do not even have chrome anymore, wtf😢
2:28 plugins doesn't have Finisesp option.. Did everything exactly in the video has there been a new update or something for so that you don't need it? Edit: I ran Nemesis again it showed up.. phew

My nemesis engine will not start. It keeps saying there are new files and that I need to update the engine though there are no new files and I have updated the engine. Idk what to do.
I had the same issue. I was trying to open nemisis from SKSE in mod organizer. make sureyou switch the drop down to nemesis and click the run button. Idk if this helps but it worked for me

After Updating the engine and attempting to launch nemesis. It says there was a file change and an engine update is required, but even after I update again I get the same issue. Anyone know a fix or had this happen to them?
Love everything so far as it's helping me so much with getting modding down but I get to this point everytime and have issues loading the game with people t-posing. I have nothing else downloaded besides Racemenu, Nemesis and XP32. when I disable XP32 i'm able to play again. Any help?

HELP... I'm at the part where i just launched Nemesis and under plugins i scroll to the bottom but i don't have any of those options. In fact i have like only have 10 under my plugins list. Is it because i don't have the anniversary edition? If so what do i do...
Okay so as far as I can tell it's two very different animation systems that don't necessarily interact. OAR coming with a suite of features for only it, and Nemesis doing something similar. Nemesis seems quite straightforward and handily seems to be fire and forget in nature. Update it, Run it, profit. OAR is more frustrating in my opinion. The overlay it utilises displays all the information necessary to achieve your goal, I'm just not techy enough yet to fiddle with it and achieve predictable results. I installed some additional Idles for example and could not get the animations to fire off, meanwhile my character is scratching their head which I remember is an animation added by one of the mods in the guide. I have searched for more information here on RUclips and the video I've found hasn't necessarily helped. I'm going to keep watching other videos aiming to improve my understanding of what's going on with OAR.
Hey, thanks for the help, I was really having a hard time implementing the mods, but one question: I had to install FNIS for the plugin to appear since it didn't appear in the list (I followed your 2022 guide) and I ended up with FNIS Behavior, Spells and creatures, 2 plugins (FNIS.esp andFNISspells.esp) my question is: where in the separators should they go? or can I just disable them? I started modeling literally yesterday. Again thanks for the guide
Remove FNIS. It's not needed and can conflict with Nemesis. If you refresh MO2 after updating and running Nemesis and no FNIS plugin appears then it's because the FNIS plugin is simply not needed by the animation mods you have installed so it won't generate one.
Hey legends. I am at "2.28 FNIS install. It wont install or go into the Plugin window. I have to as we usually do, run FNIS for Users etc.... so I am not sure what I am missing by not doing the FNIS thing here where he puts it into its on app, mine just wont allow me to launch or do anything with it. So I assume that really doesnt matter as I will just run it every now and then when needed outside this program anyway?. Any thoughts on if this is ok or if im missing something?. I downloaded and followed all steps as presented up to this point.
Wish you explained the mods that are necessary and what they do vs. personal recommendations and mods that would be necessary only if you plan on doing certain things. You say install nemesis along with other mods but when I look at these on nexus I'm thinking I don't need this cus I don't plan on messing with animations or npc behaviors. Running a lower end PC so I'm trying to avoid anything I don't 100% need outside of the mods I do want.
SMIM is identified by MO2 as "not valid". Internet says it's due to being a FOMOD installer. You didn't mention that before this point, does it matter?
Followed all steps and ended up with the most broken game, I fall through the floor as soon as the game starts and my character creation is invisible, spent 2 hours following and it doesnt work for me. So frustrating.
Whenever I try to launch nemesis it says changes in file detected, engine update is required to be performed, but I already updated the engine, what am I doing wrong?
I decided to do a clean install because I wanted to reorganize things in my mod list since I plan on maybe making some custom player homes and custom outfits. Anyway, I got to this point and Nemesis either kept going through a cycle of needing engine updates due to changes in files for mods I didn't even have the box for the patch ticked or have that mod installed or just gave errors for mods I wasn't planning on using but if I got rid of that mod folder in Nemesis it be a different folder coming up with the issue. So I guess I'll see how Pandora goes.
So I downloaded the Address Library for SE version and done all the other steps correctly, but when I try to launch the game I get a pop up msg saying that I need a newer version of address library. But I'm lost as to what is the newer version. Can someone help please?

Start by going into your game's folder, which can usually be found under steam/steamapps/common/skyrim Once you've done that, locate the Mod Organizer folder and go into it. Once there, locate the executable named "nxmhandler" and open it. Once in there, it should already have located Skyrim, but if it has not, then help it on it's way and locate it. After that, you simply click on it once and clicks on the button saying "register active". This fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours!
I jsut tried to boot and when I click new game I just sit there on the loading screen... Any advice? I took away all mods and tried again and Im getting the same loading screen.

HEY if your nemesis is giving you error 6002, I cant promise this will solve it but it solved it for me! Best of luck! The [new/best] Solution (~Credit u/nardo68, u/copperazide, u/Rafuc) Close Nemesis Engine completely. Navigate to your Nemesis Engine executable file within your file browser. Right click the file, select "Properties" Navigate to the "Compatibility" Tab Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" Select "Windows 8" or "Windows 7" Run Nemesis

Sorry for being a noob, but I'm gonna be honest, I LOVE the way this tutorial series has been made, but are these Race menu mods and NEMESIS absolutely nesessary? I dont want huge breasts and flawless features, I just want the game to look graphically impressive compared to 2011, and some gameplay tweaks or whatever. But I want the basics of the game the remain the same > controls, animations, character creation, combat. Perhaps some new spell animations or what have you? Thanks for clearing, these video's are the best!
Appreciate the support thank you. Nemesis is all for animation mods so if you're not looking to change anything related to character movements then these aren't needed. As for RaceMenu, we haven't installed anything yet to change the characters appearance in any way so that's not a worry.

Do I have to install ‘address library for skse plugins’ and ‘papyrusutil se - modders scripting utility functions’? I’ve spent like a good 30 mins looking into each mod and they both seem to cause a lot more problems rather than benefits, I.e. multiple people saying it won’t launch properly, game saves become corrupt, people having to reinstall every mod except from USSEP and those two mods in favour for it to even work, I personally do not have the mental patience to deal with all that and would like to know if my game will be fine without?
99% of the problems are: 1. USER error (not following instructions, incorrect versions, wrong data path etc) 2. Not even from that mod. (The error is from a different mod but assumed it's this one because it's the most recent) The truth is, they're not problematic, you won't even know they're installed, you will likely come across many mods that absolutely require these to work. Don't overthink this one. You've got this. And they're absolutely fine :)
I know how to do this, what I don't know how to do optimally is change the keyword of the weapons so that the animation corresponds. I know how to do it from the cration kit but it is very slow and tedious
Question for anyone if they can help? So whenever I want to play the mods I installed in Mod Organizer do I just run SKSE? First time ever modding skyrim or any game in that manner for just curious!

For XP 32 you have to turn on adult content on profile>preferences>content blocking or the correct version won't show up.

MO2 seems really complicated?? I'm 62 and not PC savvy. I use Vortex. Your videos have been a huge help for me with load orders etc. Subbed.

For some reason at 2:30 when i launch Nemesis, it doesn´t create a FNIS.esp file on "Plugins"
Checking the boxes for RaceMenu and XP32 in the left column, then updating and launching Nemesis Engine again fixed this problem for me.
there is no finis esp for me ive had to reset my pc twice trying to follow these steps im literally an idiot thats losing his patience
for manual downloading it always says “The content of does not look valid.”
I had the same issue.
I was trying to open nemisis from SKSE in mod organizer. make sureyou switch the drop down to nemesis and click the run button. Idk if this helps but it worked for me
i give up with this, why is modding in this game so over complicated... i follow hours of tutorials step by step but still not line up with the video

Lover’s Lab is unlikely to be covered Im afraid due to the restrictions the video would receive from RUclips as a result of the nature of the mods but there’s plenty of other areas that will be :-)
the Nemesis FNIS dummy file can be use FNIS mod animation? or do i need to download FNIS?
After Updating the engine and attempting to launch nemesis. It says there was a file change and an engine update is required, but even after I update again I get the same issue. Anyone know a fix or had this happen to them?

So I was wondering with the Output Mod, should we set Nemesis to output there instead of overwrite?
Love everything so far as it's helping me so much with getting modding down but I get to this point everytime and have issues loading the game with people t-posing. I have nothing else downloaded besides Racemenu, Nemesis and XP32. when I disable XP32 i'm able to play again. Any help?
Hi I am doing this right now as of 1 february and the Cutting Room Floor is not highlighted to purple. Is there a possibility that the Arthmoor's Patch Pack is no longer required or is it just some mistake on my part ?
and also when I click manual on Arthmoor then it says it does not look valid. What to do in such an example please ?

HELP... I'm at the part where i just launched Nemesis and under plugins i scroll to the bottom but i don't have any of those options. In fact i have like only have 10 under my plugins list. Is it because i don't have the anniversary edition? If so what do i do...
Okay so as far as I can tell it's two very different animation systems that don't necessarily interact. OAR coming with a suite of features for only it, and Nemesis doing something similar. Nemesis seems quite straightforward and handily seems to be fire and forget in nature. Update it, Run it, profit.
OAR is more frustrating in my opinion. The overlay it utilises displays all the information necessary to achieve your goal, I'm just not techy enough yet to fiddle with it and achieve predictable results. I installed some additional Idles for example and could not get the animations to fire off, meanwhile my character is scratching their head which I remember is an animation added by one of the mods in the guide.
I have searched for more information here on RUclips and the video I've found hasn't necessarily helped. I'm going to keep watching other videos aiming to improve my understanding of what's going on with OAR.
Hey, thanks for the help, I was really having a hard time implementing the mods, but one question: I had to install FNIS for the plugin to appear since it didn't appear in the list (I followed your 2022 guide) and I ended up with FNIS Behavior, Spells and creatures, 2 plugins (FNIS.esp andFNISspells.esp) my question is: where in the separators should they go? or can I just disable them? I started modeling literally yesterday. Again thanks for the guide
Remove FNIS. It's not needed and can conflict with Nemesis. If you refresh MO2 after updating and running Nemesis and no FNIS plugin appears then it's because the FNIS plugin is simply not needed by the animation mods you have installed so it won't generate one.

Hey legends. I am at "2.28 FNIS install. It wont install or go into the Plugin window. I have to as we usually do, run FNIS for Users etc.... so I am not sure what I am missing by not doing the FNIS thing here where he puts it into its on app, mine just wont allow me to launch or do anything with it. So I assume that really doesnt matter as I will just run it every now and then when needed outside this program anyway?. Any thoughts on if this is ok or if im missing something?. I downloaded and followed all steps as presented up to this point.
Wish you explained the mods that are necessary and what they do vs. personal recommendations and mods that would be necessary only if you plan on doing certain things. You say install nemesis along with other mods but when I look at these on nexus I'm thinking I don't need this cus I don't plan on messing with animations or npc behaviors. Running a lower end PC so I'm trying to avoid anything I don't 100% need outside of the mods I do want.
SMIM is identified by MO2 as "not valid". Internet says it's due to being a FOMOD installer. You didn't mention that before this point, does it matter?
Gosh I wish someone would do a Vortex version of this guide! I'm completely lost and MO2 would not work for me!
Followed all steps and ended up with the most broken game, I fall through the floor as soon as the game starts and my character creation is invisible, spent 2 hours following and it doesnt work for me. So frustrating.
Whenever I try to launch nemesis it says changes in file detected, engine update is required to be performed, but I already updated the engine, what am I doing wrong?
1.6.1170 version of skyrim is stable ? did i need to downgrade to some older and stable version ?

I decided to do a clean install because I wanted to reorganize things in my mod list since I plan on maybe making some custom player homes and custom outfits. Anyway, I got to this point and Nemesis either kept going through a cycle of needing engine updates due to changes in files for mods I didn't even have the box for the patch ticked or have that mod installed or just gave errors for mods I wasn't planning on using but if I got rid of that mod folder in Nemesis it be a different folder coming up with the issue. So I guess I'll see how Pandora goes.
So I downloaded the Address Library for SE version and done all the other steps correctly, but when I try to launch the game I get a pop up msg saying that I need a newer version of address library. But I'm lost as to what is the newer version. Can someone help please?

Start by going into your game's folder, which can usually be found under steam/steamapps/common/skyrim
Once you've done that, locate the Mod Organizer folder and go into it. Once there, locate the executable named "nxmhandler" and open it.
Once in there, it should already have located Skyrim, but if it has not, then help it on it's way and locate it. After that, you simply click on it once and clicks on the button saying "register active".
This fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours!
what will I do with the upcoimingg overwrite files ??? because every time i add a mod it's keep coming
I jsut tried to boot and when I click new game I just sit there on the loading screen... Any advice? I took away all mods and tried again and Im getting the same loading screen.
I noticed that for the All in one mod you installed the Anniversary edition instead of the Special edition which was available, is there a reason for that? Thanks,
Is nemesis and xp32 truly necessary? I remember FNIS only being there for animations and I want to cut out as much fluff as possible.

Close Nemesis Engine completely.
Navigate to your Nemesis Engine executable file within your file browser.
Right click the file, select "Properties"
Navigate to the "Compatibility" Tab
Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
Select "Windows 8" or "Windows 7"
Run Nemesis

Does Vortex automatically do all this? I installed this mod as a requirement for another mod and I am unsure what it does in my game.
My CRF mod wasn't highlighted purple despite me not having the patch for JK's Skyrim installed. Is there a setting I need to change? How else can I make sure mods aren't overwriting each other?

You specifically state at 1:18 "This will require EITHER Nemesis OR Finis" please explain how it's possible to have a plug-in to activate, that was NEVER downloaded based upon your own instructions during the installation process? I'm sorry, there's issues on nearly every step and I'm following what your saying verbatim.
The FNIS plugin is generated by the application (be it FNIS or Nemesis)
The steps are perfectly fine

It will only generate after running the engine with animations that require it

Sorry for being a noob, but I'm gonna be honest, I LOVE the way this tutorial series has been made, but are these Race menu mods and NEMESIS absolutely nesessary? I dont want huge breasts and flawless features, I just want the game to look graphically impressive compared to 2011, and some gameplay tweaks or whatever. But I want the basics of the game the remain the same > controls, animations, character creation, combat. Perhaps some new spell animations or what have you? Thanks for clearing, these video's are the best!
Appreciate the support thank you. Nemesis is all for animation mods so if you're not looking to change anything related to character movements then these aren't needed. As for RaceMenu, we haven't installed anything yet to change the characters appearance in any way so that's not a worry.

@jasperdegraaf5254 don't worry this series won't be covering those of a more enhanced nature shall we say. There will be some appearance mods but all are chosen to enhance the game and not change it
Do I have to install ‘address library for skse plugins’ and ‘papyrusutil se - modders scripting utility functions’? I’ve spent like a good 30 mins looking into each mod and they both seem to cause a lot more problems rather than benefits, I.e. multiple people saying it won’t launch properly, game saves become corrupt, people having to reinstall every mod except from USSEP and those two mods in favour for it to even work, I personally do not have the mental patience to deal with all that and would like to know if my game will be fine without?
99% of the problems are:
1. USER error (not following instructions, incorrect versions, wrong data path etc)
2. Not even from that mod. (The error is from a different mod but assumed it's this one because it's the most recent)
The truth is, they're not problematic, you won't even know they're installed, you will likely come across many mods that absolutely require these to work.
Don't overthink this one. You've got this. And they're absolutely fine :)

I know how to do this, what I don't know how to do optimally is change the keyword of the weapons so that the animation corresponds. I know how to do it from the cration kit but it is very slow and tedious

always run your modded game through skse in your mod manager . or your mods will never load.

You will likely have 'safe search' enabled on Nexus. You will need to disable it

Figuired it out for anyone stuck, you need to check the mod on the left section then refresh and it will work.
