im quite new to skyrim modding so i just wanna ask, which upscaler do u disable if you wanna install puredark's dlss? i remember theres 2 upscalers in the modlist in mo...and how do you actually update the nolvus if a new update comes out?
Thomas James has a video showing how to add DLSS to Nolvus. For the updater, just run the dashboard. It should auto-detect if there's an update and give you the option :)
Hello!! Solid presentation as always!! I know this is not exactly the place to ask this following inquiry. Living in Australia and trying to connect to pull the initial threads of all 2065 mods is literaly at a standstill at 389 total thus far. I have premium Nexus, a fibre to the home connection, LAN to the computer and a 10k PC that more than meets the marks. Wouldn't it be better for me to manually download these directly from Nexus instead of the auto installer?
4:10 I dont get this outcome.... it pops up saying my installation path is too long and I need to copy the updater.exe into a shorter path... I dont understand what that even means. I made a folder I dont have a drive option and put the nolvus updated in my folder but it doesnt work like yours does.
when you open the folder that the Nolvus updater is in, it should look like this at the top of the File Explorer window (the letter "B" is the example letter for the drive I am using) This PC > B Drive (B:) > Nolvus Folder that is the path. only a couple "steps." if your path is too long then you likely put the Nolvus folder in the wrong place.

@biggie_boss I'll give it a try. I've been getting the itch to start a new playthrough but have been dying to eventually upgrade to a new pc to enjoy all the new mods coming out. Damn financial responsibilities getting in the way. lol
You know, I was this close to installing the list until I saw that it was asking for my PERSONAL API key for Nexus. Given that it's closed source, I have no idea how that API key is being used, and I don't feel comfortable with this at all.
It would be good if they at least explain why the personal key is needed. I'm able to download and endorse through MO2, which doesn't need that level of access.
Awesome guide! Only one question. When installing Nolvus with MO2, does Nolvus install a NEW MO2, Use the MO2 you currently have installed but use a separate mod profile, or does it combine all the mods with any mods you currently have installed to MO2?
@@biggie_boss Aye, thanks pal! That's a relief P.S: You CANT have a global entry of MO installed. If you do, go to your MO in your user files, delete it, then re-install MO to make it an individual download instead.

That isn't true. You need all the cc content a.k.a. the $20 upgrade
I’m new to pc will this work fine ?
12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F processor
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti
1TB M.2 NVMe SSD storage
RAM: 32GB
Should be good
I keep getting a "Error during integrity checking" message that stops my install. I've verified my game files in steam and says they are correct but still received the error message. I've tried looking for trouble shooting but can't fix it. Any advice or fixes?
You need to update skyrim and download the cc content ingame
@@biggie_boss alright, I'll try it again. I downloaded the dlc but didn't load up my save to apply it all
Very Good video, Thanksa lot
Awesome guide!! I'm new to modded skyrim, I have a 3060ti, and i wish i had given myself the anti aliasing option to downscale my resolution for frames... only getting 50 FPS even on low ini ...
Is the only way to do this delete the instance and re download the whole lot?? 😢
You can delete the specific instance in the instances folder.
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Im doing this now but manually installing them and now going through the mod list there is 2059 mods i started at 10pm its now 3:30am and i barely have 500 mods out of the 2059 lmao what gamers wont do for a better experience 😂
im quite new to skyrim modding so i just wanna ask, which upscaler do u disable if you wanna install puredark's dlss? i remember theres 2 upscalers in the modlist in mo...and how do you actually update the nolvus if a new update comes out?
Eh, it should be about the same. You could try it though.
4:10 I dont get this outcome.... it pops up saying my installation path is too long and I need to copy the updater.exe into a shorter path... I dont understand what that even means. I made a folder I dont have a drive option and put the nolvus updated in my folder but it doesnt work like yours does.
when you open the folder that the Nolvus updater is in, it should look like this at the top of the File Explorer window (the letter "B" is the example letter for the drive I am using)
This PC > B Drive (B:) > Nolvus Folder
that is the path. only a couple "steps." if your path is too long then you likely put the Nolvus folder in the wrong place.
@@-gavyn- i dont see b drive. All I have after I click on This PC is 3D objects, Documents, Music, Videos, Desktop,Downloads and pictures.
I’m having the same issue did you ever found out a fix for this ?
@@angiewangie7705 ah, so if you don't see a separate section called "Devices and Drives" with storage drives listed, then I am not sure how to help :/ sry
@@justyourfriendlyneighborho9338 do you see any drives when you click "This PC" in your file explorer?
I already have a modded Skyrim on my HDD with Vortex and mods installed. Do I need to uninstall everything before moving on with getting Nolvus working or would I be okay just doing it anyways? Thanks for the guide!
Just use the purge function on Vortex
this guide has me hyped to play again, but nolvus seems to be down
It'll be back
Thank you so much you are awesome
How can you add more script mods to Nolvus? Is there a way to make room for a few more?
my download just freezes........ says its installing, but all i see is gray and nothing, it had installing mod 1-500 and then that disapeared.
Thank you sir.
Does this mod list work with a controller or will i be handicapped for using one? Im new to Pc gaming and im terrible with Mouse and keyboard so using them is uncomfortable for me cause of it. Its always been like that for me. Even in middleschool i sucked in keyboard typing class lol
It should be usable with controller
I'm still rocking a 2070 super with 16 gigs of ram so unfortunately I don't think my pc can handle this beast of a modlist :(
Should run the redux version just fine :)
Fair, to each their own :)
It would be good if they at least explain why the personal key is needed. I'm able to download and endorse through MO2, which doesn't need that level of access.
Maybe because it is needed to link the application. IIRC Automaton (the predecessor to Wabbajack) needed your API as well.
Nobody cares about your personal information bro relax.
Awesome guide! Only one question. When installing Nolvus with MO2, does Nolvus install a NEW MO2, Use the MO2 you currently have installed but use a separate mod profile, or does it combine all the mods with any mods you currently have installed to MO2?
It has its own mo2 instance separate from your own
@@biggie_boss Aye, thanks pal! That's a relief
P.S: You CANT have a global entry of MO installed. If you do, go to your MO in your user files, delete it, then re-install MO to make it an individual download instead.
whenever i try to go on the website it doesnt load how did you fix?
@@fortniteallnight374 I couldn't tell you why it's not working for you, but what I DO know, is that the site takes a while to load. So if you don't have good internet, it may not load or just take extra long.
@@fortniteallnight374 Edit: Just tried it now, and it's not working for me either... idk what's going on.
that requirements is killing me for just playing skyrim with this mods
FYI: this Mod Installer, Nolvus, does NOT make the game look like all the videos people are putting up online. Nolvus ONLY slightly upgrades the NPC polygons and along with all the addons provided. Please do not be fooled by the videos going around. It's just a slightly enhanced stiff-looking Skyrim, that's it
Now you're spreading misinformation worse than those RUclipsrs lol. Nolvus uses high poly models in the Ultra version. Go look up some of my Nolvus videos.
I don’t get what you did I literally installed it unzipped it to the downloads then I opened it and I can find the output so I cut it and put it in the drive and it’s not opening no more 🤷🏽♂️
Hello! the guide seems to be very helpful, but there is something that confuses me. I have played Skyrim a lot before, but I really want to play it this way. Is there anything I should do before installing Nolvus?
Just read the skyrim unbound guide and at your own pace guide
Thanks for the guide mate, i just have a quick question, does nolvus works with steam achievements? Thanks in advice.
It should. Engine fixes works as an achievement unlocker
You earned Nexus a Premium Membership more now :D
Just got my pc I have a 4070ti with a 7800x3d and 32 gb of ram I was wondering before I do all of this is my pc able to handle it at 1440p with decent frames or should I adjust the page profile like it showed? I want to play at the highest settings they offer btw and if not what would u recommend my options are
I think you should be able to run it on ultra pretty smooth on a 4070 ti at 1440p
@@biggie_boss thanks for the guide and for giving an answer 🥹🙏🏻
I feel like I've missed something, the modpack works but for some reason I'm getting very poor performance on my high end rig (RTX 3080, 32gb Ram, Ryzen 7 3700x etc.) Any tips on improving my performance, I'm even playing on the redux version
That's very strange for Redux. You could try to update your drivers and also do this: ruclips.net/video/FKR0zaiIUGU/видео.html
Wish I knew more on tech, had me lost at I recommend making a folder in a root of a solid state drive
Like the base folder. C drive, d drive, etc. instead of a sub folder
i install it through automatic installation all mod is ok . but when i trying to open nolvus through MO2 .. skyrim wont open :( ..i have rtx 4070 ti i5-13600K 32gb ram
I have just install nolvus, and I have problem with the map, I only see big blue screen. Anyone know why?
considering this or vegabond. Problem with vegabond is that it needs 820 GIGS total to install, which is insane and I don't have that much space left... I might put the downloads on an external drive
Nolvus for longer playthroughs for sure. Vagabond is still in beta.
@@biggie_boss what do you think about Nolvus vs Wunderniik? Does Wunderniik give a shorter playthrough? My main objective is to have a looong dedicated playthough, and so I want as much content as possible, but also nto trash graphics. Wunderniik looks amazing, but I'm not sure on its length (I know you said you are not a fan of quest monds that extend the game) buts its just something I'm looking for.
Wunduniik was unstable when I last played it. Empyrean is an option. It recently had MCO added, looks great, plays great.
I'm having an issue with tk dodge. Did the auto install, set the keybind to left alt (56) like you showed. I have nothing else bound to left alt in the mcm, or the controls. I even made sure the nemesis load order was completely right and updated and relaunched it. Left alt will just do nothing in the game. Other ini keybinds like single button power attack work perfectly fine, just dodge blech. Any ideas on what my issue is? Great vid btw, im currently watching your playthrough of this.
Are you dodging with a weapon out?
nolvus skyrim anniversary edition is not installed
plz help
I'd recommend contacting Nolvus support :)
