@Nicolomeus Not that many people realize that you can die as many times as you want....the game wants you to think you will loose everything if you die to much....and I loved and hated that part!
I like her and love her responses! "Even if I'm so scared, I can still do it." "I'll still do it, even with a lot of anxiety." Those are powerful statements imo. It's great to hear this, instead of some interviewees responding with false bravado.
Now that I think of it, those statements embody the spirit of Senua perfectly. What made me admire Senua so much throughout the game was how she was flat-out terrified and yet persevered regardless, despite all the horrors she was facing.

Just finished Senuas sacfrice and all I can say is wow !!!! That final battle was the most epic battle in any game I’ve every played !!!!! I couldn’t see anyone else playing her character.

I feel like this was a small miracle in the world of gaming. Melina was not a professional actor making this game, but all the team had such a good vision and desire to make it as good as possible, the fact that she was "an amateur" actually made it better, I feel: all the earnest, honest inspiration brought forth, together with the reverence for the theme of mental illness and trying to present those issues in a respectful manner.
Regardless of all this, I played the game at launch and it was a mesmerizing experience, very unique and impactful. Other than the tech in the capture of the actress, the binaural voices were mindblowing. OMG, it's been a lot of years since, I can only dream what Hellblade 2 will bring.
im surprised that hollywood hasnt called her already. she needs to go out for auditions.

Hollywood would ruin and crack this lovely gem, they'd twist and warp her lovely mind and personality into something uncanny. So it's best she stays down to earth, she earns far more respect this way.

It was a great performance because it wasn't a performance. She deals with the same mental health problems Senua deals with in Hellblade. Greatest experience in a video game of all time. Thank you.

You're really bastardizing what she said. What she ACTUALLY said is that her father has experienced psychosis and she herself experiences anxiety. Yes it contributes to her ability to play the role but let's not go around saying "the actress deals with the same mental health problems"

She also goes on to state that she's a recluse and doesn't go outside much other than just to edit for Ninja Theory. Then goes on to say she battles with Severe Anxiety Depression and PTSD disorder... If you don't remove yourself lol... Or go enjoy the game instead of bothering people. Watch more videos on her kid.

0:31 I don't like the way the interviewer brushed off the real description of what she is. I know it's one of those types of jokes you make where someone gives you a long list or description, and you say something like, "yeah all of the above, lol," it's meant to come off like that obviously, but.....the problem is, that "long description" _wasn't_ said as a joke or even semi-ironically, she was simply trying to say, "actually, I'm not _just_ a voice actress, I'm a motion performance - motion capture...." and she gets cut off by the interviewers "joke" of, " ok yah, all those things you just said ;) ." Like nah, don't brush that over, that's *LITERALLY* what it's called. And we didn't even get to hear the last part of it. You wouldn't call what Andy Serkis did on LOTR or Planet of the Apes as simply "making facial expressions," so don't call what she does here as "voice acting." It's more than that.

Why should I? In my eyes it's a compliment when you tell a woman that she looks better with a certain makeup. Her nature look is wunderful. She is a very talented and beautiful woman and she doesn't have to hide behind masses of cream and powder. Sometimes less is more. And just because you're on such an event you don't have to deliberately ugly.

She's a video game editer and now award winning actress - she's a pretty competent woman - I doubt she cares about looking her most physically attractive for random blokes. She was at the BAFTAs, she obviously wanted to 'dress up nice' can you not let her have that one big event to do that without harping on about being ''natural''. Shame.
no sry, but shame on u. I never said that all women look better without makeup. I have said that in my eyes Melina looks worse here with this makeup compared to her natural look, or with significantly less makeup. I'll never understand women who think you need 5 pounds of makeup to feel beautiful and comfortable. I hope she enjoyed the evening, but I stick with it, with less makeup she looks much nicer. And I do not care if you like it or not... its just my opinion and i like Melina very much.
