software would be great but..... to be honest i have no problem with button combinations for settings and for me its intuitive, the shortcuts for them are also printed on the transparant case. button sensitivity is settings+ one of the buttons, back buttons just press settings+a back button followed by the button to copy, settings + ABX or Y is for turbo. I can understand that some can struggle with remembering but for me its not a problem at all, and i recommend just downloading the manual to your phone. For me the negative is the maglev, its way too loud but its more of a extra because none of 3rd party controllers have something different than the rotating motor, and also BT range is kinda short.
Your IQ is higher than mine cause sincerely, I don't know how you do it. I adapt though, my solution is to set it once and never touch anything again! 🤣 The Maglev is an improvement over the generic stuff, but I wanted to illustrate it is not perfect, as you have concluded yourself. Tks for engaging! :)
As a rumble aficionado myself I really like the graph and breakdown you did here. I've had the KK3 for a month and it's a really great controller for PC and Switch. I would say my only nitpick is that I wish the battery life was just a little better or that the controller wasn't programmed to disable rumble well before the battery completely drains. It's still much better than the DualSense battery but that doesn't take much😂
You're my people! ☺ On another note, I would suggest that you check my Nova and Nova Lite review, I would sincerely recommend the regular Nova over the KK3 for Switch use. PC that's a different thing but yeah, check it out if you like rumble, it's amazing to see a third party controller finally have legitimate HD rumble motors!
Absolutely it will. In fact, you'll be able to use it on Steam under different profiles as well. An Xbox like controller, or a Switch like controller and in both cases, you'll have a better nuanced rumble experience. Cheers!
How I wish this product had a screen or an accompanying software. Truth be told, glad you found what the issue was because I would've just mashed infinites amount of shortcuts until it stops. So confusing to me this controller, despite it being very good that is. 😅
Mobapad left me on ghosting so for the time being, not in my radar but when I am in theirs, I'd love to study their products and share my findings. Cheers!
Not at this point in time. However, you can record a macro but to replay it is one of the function buttons, just not the paddles. I'm not sure which button, it's either the gear or select if I recall. It's a weird decision and one that I don't think I've seen any other brand do.
@@GameTechTalk yea i do prefer the xbox series controller over this tho, it feels better and i like the lower vibration on the xbox controller with games like rocket league etc. And the lunar shift is very nice looking. :))
Well if you want to use it on an Xbox console, no it isn't because it doesn't work there. But assuming you mean PC? It's night and day superior. Like, considerably, think a whole generation leap, if not two while also retaining similar ergonomics if that's important for you. Cheers!
Test Mario Odyssey and see that the gyro randomly activates on it's own. I've tested 6 of these controllers on stock and latest firmware. They all do it. Gyro is broken in swtich pro controller mode.
I hadn't anything weird happen but I probably did not test gyro long enough I mean after six (I salute your patience), fair to assume I'll run into the same issue. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I'll thoroughly re-test the gyro to see my results!
@@GameTechTalk Yeah just test Mario Odyssey and report back if you could. I'm currently talking with Gulikit support through email to hopefully get this issue sorted. Hopefully the hardware isn't the issue and it can be fixed through firmware. If it is hardware then this controller has a major flaw.
My guy, you are absolutely right. So on Mario Kart 8, where I tested, it works fine, flawless I should say and I think I know why. Mario Odyssey uses all three gyro axis, I don't believe Mario Kart uses more than 1, the X-Axis. As for Odyssey, I literally sat the controller on my desk and Mario would flick his hat forward or upward, making me think the issue is specifically with Y and Z axis... Dang, good catch. Honestly, I'm pretty sure that can be software addressed, all they need to do is create a deadzone around their sensor's values and that should fix it. Let's hope they can get that sorted quickly!@@bparks2193
I agree about having too many built in features. I could never remember them all and would screw everything up trying to do the right one. I live by the KISS motto (Keep it simple, stupid)
Oh, I see that you've reached over 5k subs. GZ! 🥳
Yes! Thank you! Now actively working towards 6k and then 7k and then... 😉 Happy to read you Rem as always, take care!
@@GameTechTalk As always: This channel needs more attention and subs. You're doing some great work here, ngl. 🤝

How many hours the battery holds up?
Great review thanks!
I currently use an elite series 2 through steam on PC, will this controller work through steam as well? I'm looking to buy this as a replacement

@@GameTechTalk perfect thanks for feedback
The light on my controller is flashing, which indicating that my vibration it’s off. How i’m gonna turn it back on.

Turn out the vibration motors will turn off on automatically when the battery gets low
@@pokemario8673I had no clue that even was a feature! Nice find

Would like to see u test the rumble on the mobapad chitu controller I hear that has good hd rumble

Can u save custom macro settings on the paddle buttons? (Multiple buttons)

Do the stick have a button that clicks under them?
They do, L3 and R3 but of course, you can also remap them to the paddles as well if you prefer.
I use this and Xbox Series controller for PC, both are better then the Elite imo.
I can agree to that!

I just need to know this… is it significantly better than a basic Xbox 360 controller?… pretty much the only point of reference I have at this stage.

After one month of Elden ring the shoulder buttons became mushy.
:( That's unfortunate to hear...

I did not know that motto but indeed, I don't see how it can ever be a bad one when designing products.
