Your physical quality review was pretty good I give you credit for that though my friend I felt like I could imagine feeling the controller in my hand without having the controller in my hand
Awesome review im glad to hear from someone that give honest reviews and isnt afraid to say what they dont like about it. That said, Im still going to try it out personally i like the kk2 i bought it as soon as it came out. I did have some problems with mine after the warranty ended, but they still sent me replacement pieces so i could fix it myself for free. The back buttons i actually like having the option to change them out or even leave them off when playing a game that doesnt need them and the membrane buttons dont bother me at all though i wish they had told the truth about it from the get go. If another manufacturer had hall effects sticks and all the bells and wistles this one had id probably buy it, but since they dont ill stick with gulikit for now.
For sure, everyone can have their own experiences with the controller. I do thinks it's cool they took care if youvafter the warranty. I am messing woth the Vader pro 3 right now I have to say I like it other than their hall effects they use and a dongle issue. That will ne in the review.
Loved the KK2 so I bought the KK3 Max. You don't need to have the paddle on the controller. I don't have them on mine because you can't actually set them up properly in games on PC. Especially because it only shows up on Steam as an Xbox 360 controller. It needs it's own software, firmware and drivers so it shows up as its own device. Also they responded to his video about the mechanical buttons when I bought it, it never said mechanical button so they didn't lie to me as a consumer with that. They did however lie about the back paddle functionality. I got used to back paddles and different bindings with my Steam deck and that was the main reason I bought the controller (well that and the hall effect thumbs and trigger) and the things are useless.
If the vader Pro had gulikit's sticks where the springs dont wear out as fast and the 1000hz polling rate, I'd totally buy it in a heartbeat! It feels like every new controller on the market right now is so close to being perfect, but then they do something stupid, which leaves the customers feeling scammed. 8bitdo, flydigy, gulikit, and gamesir are all so close to hitting the mark, but they just miss out on a few important features!
Personal preference at this point. I love my Gamesir G7 SE with its 1000hz polling rate update. Just 2 back button is enough for me. And I dont like paddles. Only wish it is wireless.
@@raffyluvmiharu ive had the gamesire g7 se twice. the left bumper broke on both of them. now i bought the gulikit kk3 pro but there the sticks feel very hard to move and the triggers are extremely mushy. also they have a very long travel distance before even activating. i wouldnt recommend both controllers. i just cant seem to find a controller that fits me. i just want a basic xbox style controller with hall effect joysticks and a decent build quality. cant seem to find that sadly

Not sure what's going on with your back paddles. Mine are closer than what you showed in this video without modification. Not sure if there's a seating issue, or if they've adjusted them somehow, but it's good for me. I really like the paddles once they're seated, to be honest. I prefer them over the 8bitdo paddle "buttons". What I seem to be struggling with is something to do with the analog sticks. For whatever reason, controlling my vehicle in Rocket League is... different... than my other controllers. I'm struggling to adapt. I'm not sure if there's something wrong, or I just haven't adjusted to minor differences or what. It's really hard to describe. I regularly "overturn" when using it. Still seeing if I can adapt and adjust, or if I'll need to return the controller.

I’ve been fighting myself on this controller. Can anyone tell me how the stick tension is in comparison to the KK2P? I thought the KK2P was way too loose feeling, so I’m interested in feedback.
I tried KK2 and when I look at the joystick calibration in Steam, there is a giant deadzone built-in. It doesn't detect an input until it is pressed 20%.... anything from 1-19 is not detected. So unless I am missing something, the deadzone it advertises "to fix" is already permanent.
@@VincentVanGirth should just be to hold the settings button and press the square with a circle inside button. Short vibration is no dead zone. At least according to the manual. Maybe it was something they added later with an update? Idk if you can update the kk2 tho, I only have the kk3
Everyone bashes on membrane buttons, did they actually changed the webpage description? because it says "tactile" and not "mechanic". Id hate to have clicky, harder and noiser buttons, i prefer them soft. Ive used a DS4 for 7 years with membranes and works just fine. Also why would you want rgb lights on a controller? you dont even look at it while using it, and it just drains battery.

When you have the triggers in the analog function do they actuate quicker? That will be the deciding thing for me i have an xbox but im pretty sure even if it doesnt work i can buy an adaptor
Not sure but I think adapters that use an official controller to pass security check still work. Just put one of your many broken Xbox controllers on the adapter if that is the case. Really adds to the price of using a 3rd party controller though (and that is why they tried to block them, so more people will just pay $180 for their shitty Elite controller that breaks in a few months).
Watch Gamers Heaven vid on this controller he gives u just as much info and more... Yes they actuate quicker and mine doesn't take as long to actuate but there is still a bit of travel compared to other controllers that have this function. That being said, The KK3 is the best bang for your buck cuz most other controllers with back paddles and trigger adjustment cost way more than these bad boys and these have one of the best hall effect Sticks. I love using this controller and I have many other ones. Btw: I believe it works with Xbox cuz it reads as an Xbox controller on my Pc and the even with the ban all 3rd party controllers that worked on Xbox still do. Gamers Heaven has a vid on this too.
pretty sure the close-to-zero-but-not-quite neutral position is kind of unavoidable on any controller i wouldn't even be surprised if playing around with the stick some more and releasing would result in different numbers
Wish i saw this review before I bought the KK3 Pro. My 8BitDo Pro 2 is amazing for the Switch, ultra low actuation and travel time. I wanted something more comfortable for shooters. I love the ergonomics and feel of the KK3 Pro but, like you said, the travel time on the triggers are not insignificant...
this my 2nd KK controller first one is their 1st gen the only thing I hate of this controller is the trigger if you want FPS mode trigger it's sooo sluggish or squishy doesnt have that mouse click satisfaction lol but overall it's great alot of features paddle back button is great fits great to my hand
I'm very surprised you would not recommend a controller based on a D pad no one hardly uses and face buttons that they did, at first, lie about. They still work great and feel better than elite S2 imo with a smoother press. Price is GREAT compared to xbox S2 and has 1000hz polling rate vs like 125hz for xbox (This is probably the biggest thing for me). Super smooth game play, amazing joysticks and overall this controller feels great in hand and maybe like half the weight of a S2. Paddles feel fine to me but I understand not everyone's hands are the same shape. This is the best controller I have ever had personally by a mile. If someone uses a D-pad tons I understand they may feel this controller is not for them but I very rarely even use a D-pad. If someone bought this when they thought they were getting mechanical keys I get it and dislike that shadyness for sure but these buttons feel better than S2 to me and I enjoyed putting the xbox face ones on. I think if this thing lasts and is durable there is a case to be made it has made the S2 obsolete.
I dont have this controller yet but considering it and his "dealbreakers" are stuff I dont care about. Dont care about back paddles, d-pad while better dpad is nice but not requirement unless playing a lot of games that require good dpad like fighting games or 2d games. I already have 8bitdo pro 2 which has the best dpad and use it for fighting games and 2d games while for most other games I want controller that is more similiar to xbox where dpad doesnt matter as much. I game both on switch and pc so I want a controller that I can use for both and conveniently switch between them without having to sync it everytime or using a different controller for each one and also not risking stick drift.
Hey man I picked this gamepad up around a month ago and quite enjoyed it especially the hall effect sensors since I've had stick drift on my last 7 ps controllers. Unfortunately I had to send it back 2 days ago because the top back button started sticking, I dont find the paddles very comfortable but just use the switch types instead but yeah the left side started sticking so I sent it back. Maybe I'm stupid but decided to give it another chance and got another one but wasn't sure what to go with for around a similar price. I need something with back buttons now since I started getting used to this and also hall effect sensors, the flydigi pro 3 might be the one then?

Gyro is a absolute game changer for any game that requires aiming. You are doing yourself a huge disservice by not looking into gyro aiming. It is not a gimmick, it is not for accessibility, it is straight up the best method for aiming on a controller as any gyro user can tell you. It does require a lot of setting up and some time to get used to, but it is absolutely worth the effort. Also as a side note, a high polling rate is necessary for good gyro since gyro is basically a mouse.

Love the Video since it had lots of info but one constructive criticism... It bothers me that you try to talk fast in turn mumbling your speech from time to time which makes me want to watch other informative videos rather then this one. I'm not trying to be rude just making a suggestion that you slow down even though it might make the video a little longer, Maybe you can try and edit more scenes out in post production if it gets too long. Edit: I'm glad you mentioned Gamers Heaven cuz I wrote my comment 👆b4 that part of the vid and was thinking that you had the same opinions as him except he liked/recommends it even with all the cons since it's only $80 compared to other "pro" controllers. I'm glad you mention his vid cuz I was thinking that you just copied his vid but obviously you're just influenced by him cuz it is hard to forget something you know and that's why a lot of Creators try not to watch other channels until after they make thier vid first.
Not hate here. I get excited a lot and do start to do this. As well as yea the videos can be super long if I'm not careful lol but I will try and be more aware of this. Thanks.
Dang, if I'm being paid someone is robbing me blind and yep the back button on the Vader are much better than these just dropped a new review on it go check it out 😁
As a father of a 3 year old and NOT A PRO gamer looking for a controller to rule them all (my PC, Switch, and Android phone.) I can see how those things are a problem especially with the high price tag. Any suggestions for someone like me? 😅😂
I think it is a good controller but not as good as it can be. While the face button is a lie, which obviously not cool, but I can live with that. What annoys me the most is the trigger. It actually felt worse vs KK2 in analog mode. What I mean by worse is that it felt a bit mushy. Also for some reason they didn't fix the trigger dead zone. I have multiple controller and only Gulikit controller have this problem (KK2 and now KK3). The trigger stop also not as good as in the gulikit ads. There is too much travel. Having said that, apparently there is a version that has less travel but unfortunately mine doesn't. These trigger problems can be easily fixed or you can mod it yourself, but they shouldn't expect people to mod the controller. Other than that, I'm fine with everything else. Dpad is dpad, some prefer this kind of dpad, other doesn't. I really like the back button tho. While most people like the dome, I actually prefer the lever. Basically I will take this back button config over Vader 3 pro back button. While the face button is a lie, I actually prefer it over an actual mechanical switches mainly because I don't trust how micro switches and these mouse switches works mechanically since for some reason it wears out quickly even for a switch rated at 50m clicks. That is why I won't buy mouse without at least optical switches for the main buttons (left and right click). Hopefully there will be a controller with optical switches.
Great insight. They did come out and say there was a miscommunication with the buttons, and they fixed the website to reflect the right button now. But yea, that was crazy to bluntly have the wrong thing advertised.
ANTI-friction means... no friction?... there is always friction. It's just reduced to HOPEFULLY an unoticable amount. I heavily disagree with your word choices in several places.
the gulikit pro 2's BIGGEST issue was that my resting index fingers on L2 and R2 would accuate by the slightest touch - which is BAD. So imo, your complaint here is finally a "pro".
It is so wrong to say hall effect sticks will not develop stick drift. That is only reciting their marketing claims without thinking critically about it. Hall effect sticks DO develop sticks drift, because that depends only on the springs, which are exactly the same of that on "regular" controllers. What hall effect sticks are an improvement is that they will not degrade and make wrong direction registering because of the wear and tear of the capacitive disk, as they do not have that capacitive disk.
Yeppers, exactly what u said in the video I believe that the hardware will go out depending on the sticks some are worse than others, and Flydigi sticks are known for the springs going bad.
@@PughsReview As the hall effect sticks are based on electronics, not physical contact to the capacitive surface, with good support, the hall effect sticks can be recalibrated to the "new" center. The Gamesir T4 Kaleid has this feature, it can be recalibrated to the 'new" center after stick drift has appeared. I have 2 of these and both already have a little of stick drift (3% in Apex Legends) that I can recalibrate from time to time.
Yes, all the problems do exists, but I disagree with how you contexualized the controller. The Vader 3 Pro is a 148$ controller, while the KK3 Max is an 80$ one. Calling it a Pro controller will not put it into the same ring as the ones that are twice as expensive.
“A lot of people buy controllers for the mechanical buttons.” …really? Do we have many examples of other controllers that actually do have mechanical buttons? Saw a few Switch ones out there that sort of click like mice but nothing too crazy, it just doesn't seem like a very common thing by any means, so I don't really see how that sentence makes much sense~
Literally, any of the Razer pro controllers. It's much more common than you think, especially when Gulikit has used them on their previous controllers.
I am so disappointed with this controller, i have my KK2 Pro for quite a while now, over 800 hours of usage on that one and it hasn't skipped a beat, i was looking forward for the KK3 with the back paddles (a feature i still miss on the KK2), but they're not that good, there's false advertisement regarding the "V2 mechanical buttons" which are just disguised membranes, a lots of QC issues being reported as well, i'll just pass on this one, perhaps it gets better with newer iterations, if Gulikit even tries to listen to their consumers...
You said it all, the control is supposed to be a premium control, an expensive control, but the quality is horrible, the plastic is so poorly made that you can see the lights inside it, the trigger is stuck and horrible, the plastic looks like it was made aiming for the lowest possible cost, in short, control does not deliver what it promises and is very expensive for inferior quality
I believe the KK2 Pro were mechanical buttons but on their website they never make the claim that either controllers are. I checked the site, so I'm not sure where it started that they made this claim. The only spot I could find that made the claim was for the replacement buttons. To be fair, I guess they could have changed the description on the website, so maybe they did at first but they aren't now.
Your physical quality review was pretty good I give you credit for that though my friend I felt like I could imagine feeling the controller in my hand without having the controller in my hand

Thanks.
what controler do you recomend around KK3 price tag?
I'm guessing your thumbnail is clickbait because there's nothing wrong with this controller
This guy is payed by flydigi i garantee , imagine that he said that flydigi vader paddles feels great
Dang, if I'm being paid someone is robbing me blind and yep the back button on the Vader are much better than these just dropped a new review on it go check it out 😁
@@PughsReview how is it better when its impossible to use 4 fingers at the same time ?
@@YonkoDarx 💀 I have the Apex 4 I agree they're hard to press I rarely use them
100% agree.
As a father of a 3 year old and NOT A PRO gamer looking for a controller to rule them all (my PC, Switch, and Android phone.) I can see how those things are a problem especially with the high price tag. Any suggestions for someone like me? 😅😂
I am still playing and testing but be on the look out for the Vader pro 3 controller review that might be a winner.
Vader 3 pro has worse thumbsticks, cheap hall effect modules according to some video's.
I heavily disagree with your word choices in several places.

absolut nice that controller. dont care about that switches for that good price
Lol no friction? Thats quite a high standard ur looking for 🤣 almost physics defying 🤙👍
I have high standards🤣🤣🤣
Mechanical is prone to being stuck, so they swapped it back.. early models have mechanical buttons.
the gulikit pro 2's BIGGEST issue was that my resting index fingers on L2 and R2 would accuate by the slightest touch - which is BAD. So imo, your complaint here is finally a "pro".
I still liked the work you put into the review and presentation of the video. Good job!
Appreciate that
You can literally change the sensitivity on the controller itself
@@InterstellarLordhow do you recalibrate I have the g7 se I would imagine it has the same feature if they use the same software
Yes, all the problems do exists, but I disagree with how you contexualized the controller. The Vader 3 Pro is a 148$ controller, while the KK3 Max is an 80$ one. Calling it a Pro controller will not put it into the same ring as the ones that are twice as expensive.
Vader 4 pro is only $80 each their own. I like them better than this.
@@PughsReview that's great to know. I'll watch your video on it.
Gyro is there but is very glitchy…
my brand new kk3 doesn't pair with the tongle
garbage
Bruh you must have been trolling us with those warzone highlights lol. It looks like you had your aim assist off.
🤣
“A lot of people buy controllers for the mechanical buttons.”
…really?
Yea I think gulikit needs to take action here and quick. Thanks for the comment.
or, you know, just use 2 paddles, or even 0 if you don't really need them for anything
I suggest you be a little less theatrical, my friend.
Bro , it’s $80 why are expecting a amazing quality from something so cheap , it’s not a $200 controller
@@LukeEdey-uk3xt Why does the 8BitDo ultimate C control, which is very cheap, have a better construction than this one
I don't know who didn't always know that the buttons were membrane.
Exactly what they did 24 hours after this video was released. They changed all of it and kinda of apologize
