I feel exactly the same, maybe was because of my age and life in general during 2011 but since then I haven't feel the same listening a Machine Head album as i felt listening to Unto the Locust.
I liked everything from Through the Ashes of Empires, when Machine Head started to go for a more melodic sound, although I fully agree, Catharsis was quite underwhelming.
i have been wating for this one! :) welldone
What does Michael think of their newest album?
Totally agree on Unto the Locust. Such an underrated album 🤘
circle the drain is pretty good
I was surprised. They haven't released anything good after Unto the Locust. Maybe it's just mw

I quite liked bloodstone and diamonds, Catharsis is quite spectacularly awful, though.
@@coultersheppard2052 Oh yeah, Bloodstone had its good moments for sure, as for catharsis... you just said it.
You should do Godsmack
So ur one of the 3 ppl that actually liked catharsis
The Burning Red is my favourite which is a very unpopular opinion, but it's probably because I'm a die hard nu metal fanatic lmao
Burn My Eyes Is my favorite Machine Head album
same
Gotta say, I did enjoy Change, Red and Supercharger, but not Catharsis

I don’t see has someone could think catharsis is great but to each its own
It wasn't the best, but it was ok.
