This video is meant to spread awareness of Antonblast the game but I think this should also be used to spread awareness to programs to help those in need as well.. If you can check these charities out, consider contributing to helping with aid for those who have been injured, lost their homes, and negatively impacted by these tragic storms. I uploaded this video earlier in the day but an hour after uploading it a lot of things changed around Antonblast and its release, with the release being pushed back from November 12, 2024 to December 03, 2024, mainly due to the impact of these recents hurricanes on some of the staff and there abilitiy to work on the game. All the developers are safe, and while its is a little bit of a bummer that the game is pushed back, the fact everyone on the staff is ok matters more than a game release deadline. The last 5 min of the video are updates to reflect the current circumstances around the game as well as content plans I have for discussion other aspects of Antonblast.
Holy cow, thanks for getting this video to 1,000+ views everyone! I'm happy to see that quite a few people have enjoyed the video. There's still room for improvement on my part, especially with some audio balancing in parts of the video as well as delivery of my voice over, but it means a lot that a bunch of people have gotten some entertainment value from this. RUclips has become a bit of a hobby of mine these past few month and seeing the postive reception to the video and being able to engage with viewers in the comment section has been really awesome. I currently has a shorter edited video i've been working on since the beginning of the week that will go over the changes and features made in the One Blast Demo. I also plan on making a full review of Antonblast when it does release as well, plus when the Kickstarter backer rewards arrive for the Plush Lover tier I want to make a video showcasing those as well. I appreciate the support that has been given on this video and for those that stick around hopefully the content i produce will be to your liking. With that said, if anybody has any feedback on aspects I can work on to improve the quality of my videos going forward, I would love to hear from you. Thank you again for the support on this video! It's greatly appreciated! Update: Over 2k+ views now! Incredible! I can’t thank everyone enough for watching!
Fun fact: you do not embrace the ANTON if you don’t hold the scream button during the entirety of « Anton’s hood » and « it ain’t humble but it’s home » when starting a new game in One Blast Demo and the full game
Dude this video is such a good throwback. I already know about AntonBlast but I still watched the whole video because the presentation is like EARLY Normalboots/Hiddenblock era. I really dug the way you did a throwback to the SpaceHamster/PBG/ProJared cadence at 9:32 . That was WELL executed.
Thank you so much! For that scene I did have a bit of early Normal Boot Jontron in mind when making that moment. I grew up watching and loving a lot of their content and still watch them on occasion. I guess their style and humor rubbed off on me a bit. I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
@@LukeyDukey714 Dude now I'm kicking myself! I was thinking specifically "It sounds like he's trying to do an Early JonTron, like one of the really early videos that SpaceHamster helped him script where he did some of the SpaceHamster-isms." But I was like "no way it's that deep of a pull". I should have trusted my gut! Well done! I miss videos like this.
@@ToadySP Your hunch was correct lol! Well hopefully I can continue to do videos that invoke that era of RUclips while still being distinct in their own way as well. Thank again for watching and enjoying the video.
I think it’s supposed to be a beer funnel bat, at least that’s what it looked like to me. I agree though, I love the aesthetics and tone the game goes for. I’ve been in love with it since the original kickstarter demo and it’s only gotten better since.
Yeah Antonblast is primed to be my Game of the Year for sure! I need to go back and play through Pizza Tower as well. I’ve tried it in the past but I’ve had trouble getting to grips with how fast the game can get. When you really start blazing through the level it feels a little too fast uncontrollable at times, but I’m sure if I give it more time I’d adapt. I loved the level design, visual style, and music for the game though. Very unique style for an indie game.
Hopefully Pizza Tower and Antonblast are just the first of many Wario-like games. The world could always use more platformers like the Wario Land games to come. Nintendo sure isn’t making any more of them. At the very least according to Summitsphere Nintendo has been very helpful and supportive of the team and when it comes to the promoting the game featuring it in an Indie World presentation. If they won’t make a new game in that style Nintendo spotlighting games that do is the next best thing.
absolutely loved this video subscribed immediately also can you make a video on the BOOM! Buster kickstarter demo? It's game about sorting bombs before they explode, and one of the inspirations of it is pizza tower ! if you like pizza tower (and of course antonblast since this video is LITERALLY about antonblast) you will probably love this one pizza tower, antonblast, BOOM! Buster, and captain wayne has got to be the squad of the most awesome pixel art indie games ever
I’m glad you enjoyed the video and I appreciate the subscription! Hopefully I can continue to make videos that you’ll find enjoyable. Someone mentioned BOOM! Buster in the the comments section on my last video as well. While I heard of the game before I never got around to trying it or backing the kickstarter, but I tried the demo recently after seeing their comment and I definitely want to make a video similar to this talking about the game in the future. I loved what I played and I definitely regret not trying it sooner.
After fixing the controller input on steam (It wouldn't let me use the dpad until I turned on steam input) This has become the demo I've began to play over and over and over again~
I’m glad you’ve been enjoying the game so much. It’s been the same for me. I’ve probably sunk close to 30 hours across the Dynamite Demo as well as the new One Blast Demo. When the final game is released I’ll be hooked on it for weeks at least.
@@LukeyDukey714 I will as well~ With so much love to not just Wario but freaking Crash Bandicoot as well, I think I'm looking forward to this WAY more than Shadow Generations XD
@@DynamoTheGamma The game definitely deserves to gain a lot of notoriety just like Pizza Tower before it. I’m sure the good word of mouth when the game releases will lead to Antonblast being just that.
To me Peppino in terms of his movement and weight to his jumps feels more like Metroid to me than Wario Land, which I do like that about Pizza Tower, but I also find it easier to lose control of myself when going at high speeds. With more time I’m sure I would get better at it.
I’ve dabbled in Antonball Deluxe on my Switch and Steam Deck. I enjoy the game quite a bit but I stink at Antonball. Punchball on the other hand I can do pretty well in. I’ve played some of Pizza Tower as well. Treasure Tech though I don’t think I’ve heard of. Is it the first person game that kinda plays like Doom?
Yeah, Amy was in move-set but other aspects of Sonic games are still present in Antonblast. The easiest to notice i think is the musical queues that match closely with Sonic CD Japanese soundtrack. The music for Slow Roast Sewers sounds straight out of that game. Also to me, the zen-like flow state you can get speeding through Sonic levels is very much intact in the level design of Antonblast when you master all the movement mechanics in the game. Tech such as doing a hammer clutch into a slide and then jumping and hammer swing immediately after gives you a lot of forward momentum and add to the Sonic feel the game has at times.
I seen that game but never got around to check the Kickstarter. Is there still a demo available? If there is I need to go out and try the game out for myself. Looked right up my alley.
I just got home from work and downloaded the demo on steam. My goodness that is fun! Thanks for bringing that game back to my attention. If they do have a Patreon I may have to send a few bucks their way since I missed my change to back the Kickstarter.
