Thanks for the video. Singapore is one of my favorite cities in the world. The orchid gardens at the botanical gardens is the best 5 SGD you can spend.
Justin kickin’ it up a notch with this new series. Love these videos man. Great job! Like your straight up, no BS approach. And yes the lens fog is the real deal. I would add sometime you get different levels of condensation on the VF vs the lens. Need to check both. Love the walk and talk segments
Great episode. I got mine too and I find too much CA and Halation when shooting in bright environment at f1.4 to f3.5 more or less. Purple green fringing valor in high contrast area. Image is soft and not sharp at all. Do you experience this? Would you be able to list a link with some of your pictures for some of us Leica shooters to analyze your results? Thanks.
The M10M has become my default camera. I’m so used to it now and it is so versatile, especially in low light. I usually use it with the « old » 50 Summilux on it and it’s a killer combo.
Nice video, thanks! I picked up an M9 a few months ago to affordably test the Leica system, now I'm hooked and dreaming of a Monochrom at some point since B&W has always been my main focus.
@@AskMOTT Both have their appeal, but I think the M so I can use the lenses I want, and for the optical viewfinder. I'm sure the EVF on the Q is better than my Sony a7RII, but I really like the clarity of an optical finder.
Ending of the video is so true…world of photography bringing people together. I rented an m10 with a 50mm f2 Summicron and was taking a photo of a teenager that I know. He had pretty much zero photo knowledge but he relayed to me that he had an old simple digital camera he really loved using. He said the Leica was really cool looking but never heard of it before. Knowing he probably wouldn’t get a chance to try one in a long time or if ever again, I offered to let him try it if he would take my picture with it. His face lit up and he held it in his hands with a big smile. I heard the Kacunkkk of the shutter and he asked if the camera was expensive. I just said it’s not too bad (didn’t want him to feel weird or nervous about it). He gave the camera back, said thanks, and then ran off to join his friends. I looked at the photo he took and it was really good! Especially for someone who never touched a rangefinder before, it was perfectly focused and spot on with exposure. Photography does indeed bring people together!
I had a Q2 Monochrom and really loved it. I have a CL, SL2, and M11 and recently pre-ordered an M11 Monochrom. You already have at least one M lens. An M11 Monochrom could easily make sense for you.
Can't forget the MM version 1. CCD really dreams filmish like TriX. Owned two, sold two because of bad bad GAS and clunkish operation, crap batteries. Owned the 246 but I feel there's too much grays and not enough B&W, so hours on LR: pity there's no alternative to these CMOS feeling like screen lickers and cloning machines. Summilux is a big boy and too clinical maybe: sending a shot to a dermatologist may help someone without any office visit... But very nice shots and cool review!
hey Justin, what do you think, which is the most popular, most searched print ratio? 3:2? ISO? or should I offer several aspect ratio? I plan to sell internationally
The lens fog phenomenon is a pain. You have to walk out of your hotel room with lens cap on and wait a couple of minutes. Singapore is a great city for photography.

The only thing that gets me is the heat/humidity :(.

Makes me happy to hear this. I am trying to go up several notches this year so all feedback is appreciated!

Really digging the new iPhone-slim Leica monochrome! 😂

The M9-M is on my want list. The CCD sensor and Monochrom images are magical.
Agree , I loved using this camera.

I was really happy w that setup, considering the Q monochrom as well.

Would you go for the M or Q monochrom?

Ugh. So much want for a Monochrom M!

Q2Mono for me - LOVE it. I’m moving more and more to bnw only. Some day I’ll work the M in as well - fingers crossed. Always great vids - thanks!
Thanks Daniel, I'm considering it, also interested in the Q monochrome.
Would you consider a Monochrom camera?

@@johnkasianowicz6536 I'm considering it strongly or possibly a Leica Q Monochrom.

@@LunarCatOnAir Thanks for sharing your experience Gilles, glad people seem to like this episode :).
I have an M10M. The advantage of the M11M seems to be the improved metering.
Man that M11 Mono is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. I shoot with an M6 and a fuji X-Pro3, I can only dream of an M11.
It’s pretty incredible:)
Thanks, I really like your videos
Thank you Petr, I appreciate you taking the time to comment.

You always have to plan in into good schedule.
Let us know if you pick up that 50. I'd be curious to know. The portraits of the woman photog are just gorgeous!
Welcome to Singapore. 😎
Thanks, I had a great trip there, coming back soon for a shoot as well.
@AskMOTT Go to Little India and Chinatown, if you can.
Fun video! You should do more talking head and photowalk vids
Thanks so much, I plan to:).
How was the battery life?
I found it very good, full day, long day, lots of images and it held up well.
I dont know, maybe its because im seeing it on RUclips but im not liking the rendering of that lens. It's looking pretty soft.
It’s just RUclips , it’s not soft.
