I'm not sure I'd ever use the variable size options on a Leica. I can see the argument for that on a Nikon, Canon or Sony where you tend to blaze away but the generally more considered approach the Leica brings tends to limit the data overhead anyway. I always liked the idea of internal memory on the TL2 so I'm pleased to see it on the M11.
I'm keeping my M10-R Black Paint even if someday I get an M11 (or later model). Why? Because in my view, it's the last of the film inspired digital M's (removable baseplate). Probably a minor issue in the grand scheme of things, but does make me want to hold on to the camera nevertheless. And, Leica moving away from brass bodies, which is a shame.

That's a great question Ruben, I'm definitely an M10D guy but it's not for everyone. I don't mean that in a pretentious way, I just mean it's more suited for people who are shooting long-form stories and projects. The M11 would be an incredible all-in-one camera as it's very enticing for commercial work as well.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it the charger is not really a charger but merely a DC-to-DC converter (5V to 8.4V). You also have to have a separate AC adapter which gives you the standard 5V DC. Is this really a space saver?
They should have added a “secret” menu so that wouldn’t bother photographers, but very useful for reportage, a video option like there was one in M240.
Thanks, I’ve enjoyed those files for many years . I did however recently switch over to a Sony system for more versatility as we do so many hybrid shoots and different types of shoots it just made sense economically for my business.

I don’t mind the way it looks TJ as it’s bidding on the bottom but when you plug it in I don’t love having to tilt the camera on the side but it’s not a huge deal for me.
USB port in the worst place! Battery compartment prone to malfunction at some stage clicky, mechanism like that sounds like trouble down the line. Like to see the noise from that sensor at high ISO…… hmmmmm not sure it’ll stack up against the M10!
Thank you for this great video. Sorry, but the fact that Leica has the nerve to release a $9000 camera without an EVF in 2022 is a absolute joke. But hey, it's a Leica......
That’s the thing with Leica that it didn’t follow the market to compete with everyone else. It’s a unique brand. I was thinking the same but again I can always buy other brands if I want EVF.

My uploads always get cut off when I try to use load 4K unfortunately, sporadic internet connect in Vietnam is often an issue.
The USB port being exposed like that looks a bit weird I think. Probably not a big deal I guess. I own the M10R and would like to check out the new visioflex though.
I don’t mind the way it looks TJ as it’s bidding on the bottom but when you plug it in I don’t love having to tilt the camera on the side but it’s not a huge deal for me.
@@AskMOTT what about dust etc getting through it? Hummm
@@tjmanou6422 USB-C ports are weather sealed so I’m not worry about dust.
New Visoflex is not backwards compatible with the M10 R
@@davidcampbell771 actually it will be. I spoke with a Leica rep. They will have a M10R firmware update very soon that will allow to use visoflex 2
How about resting on the back - duh
Damn boi
What's wrong with taking pictures of cats? 🐈 You think you're better, just because you don't? You think you're better because you take pictures with elephants? 🐘 You animal elitists plonker

You might be right David , am I getting canceled :).
On the contrary. Loving your content. Keep up the great work haha
Watching Leica owners try to justify their price placebo is one of my new favorite time wasters.
No Ibis and only 2 F buttons, what a joke
wtf? for real?
Do you sleep in that hat?
