Peter Pan's Flight is an enchanting aerial journey inspired by the classic Disney movie Peter Pan. Soar over Never Land in a flying pirate galleon and watch the daring adventures of Peter as he confronts his dreaded arch-nemesis, Captain Hook.
The Flight
Your journey to Never Land begins in the Darling children's nursery, where Peter is discovered by Wendy, Michael and John. With the help of some of Tinker Bell's pixie dust, you're lifted off the ground, out the window and into the moonlit sky.
As you climb higher and higher into the thin air above London, the rooftops, streets and shimmering Thames river grow smaller and smaller below you. As distant stars twinkle above, you glide over majestic Big Ben and the lights of London recede into the night.
You arrive over Never Land island surrounded by a dancing sea of stars. Slowly making your way down, you see lush tropical forests, iridescent waterfalls, simmering volcanoes and the foreboding Skull Rock. It's a high-flying adventure you'll never forget!
Pirate Galleons
Peter Pan's Flight features unique 3-person pirate galleon vehicles that are suspended on a track from above. This inventive arrangement is one of the many reasons that the attraction has been one of the most popular rides at Disneyland Park for over a half century.
Location: Disneyland
Such a simple, but wonderful ride. I'm 51, yet I still love this. First rode this in June of 1966, my goodness how time flies.
Now your 61
Was it different then tell me how it was back then
As an adult, I have much more of an appreciation of this ride than I did as a kid.
When I think of this ride, as a kid over 40 years ago, all I remember was hearing "come on everybody, hear we gooooo" while standing in line. So nothing has changed.
Loading and unloading riders on this ride is VERY physical for the cast members. They work hard to make the line move, without making riders feel they're being rushed. There's a lot of psychology involved, and I think they use looking genuinely happy to get good cooperation. I think park management has worked really hard on developing these techniques and training the cast members.
Your absolute correct. I ran those rides for a couple of years, and it can be stressful. Especially if you have a handicapped person who cannot move with out their helper. And the helper is getting pissed off at you for not assisting them. Your getting pissed off at them for taking so damn long. so they won't cause a station break down. Unfortunately it is a liability for Cast-Members to touch or assist other guests like handicaps. On or off the rides. Because if something happens we get blamed for it.
Im to lazy to read this :-)
Marc Lubey I had a friend who was a quadriplegic. I invited him to go rafting with me. He asked what the process would be. I told him I'd inflate the raft while he waited in the truck, then I'd drag him by the wrists to the raft, as his ass crack filled with dirt and twigs, then throw him in the raft. I told him I'd prop him up, and feed him and beer him between fish, and that when we got to the end of the run, I'd drag him into the shade of a tree, leave him for the mountain lions, and hike back to the truck, then I'd put him in the truck and load up the raft. He was at the curb ready to go in the morning.

Dang...thats a lot of work!!!! LOL...

Well...when I was working Pete one day at the Unload there was actually someone in a cast trying to get off. The lady asked if I can help her. I politely said no I cannot do to our policies. She got pissed off...and as a result. The station backed up and the ride went down.
This is the NUMBER ONE RIDE at Disney everywhere! PEtER PAN is the NUMBER ONE MOVIE AND YET AGAIN RIDE! Love it so much!
Number one movie?! I think if Walt had to do it over again he'd make Peter Pan and Tinkerbell a little bit more nice towards Wendy.
Rewatch the movie and decide for yourself. It's easy to forget and assume everything was hunky-dory in that movie.
Nah its fine the book was the same
Kai the Red Ninja of Fire
He could have taken the same approach as he did with Jungle Book. Jungle Book is a dark/horrific/sick story, but he change it to be a nicey-nice story.
He could have done the same with Peter Pan. I bet he regretted not Disney-fying the story.
*****
They didn't Disney-fy the Peter Pan story. Peter Pan/Tinkerbell were totally rude and mean to the kids.
have you ridden anything other than peter pan its not the best ride
I love the old Disney! Keep this ride forever.
I was 3 when I first went to this ride, till today I got that magical feeling everytime I get on this ride, and I'm 16 today :)
I remembered going on this when I was ~3. I remembered the stars. I went on Peter Pan's Flight in Orlando a few weeks ago and was confused that it was totally different. I guess my memory was from Disneyland, not world.
One of my earliest memories was riding this ride with my Daddy when I was about three. :) Such magical times!

Grace Nern omg same!! It’s nice to know that people have great memories from this ride to! ☺️
I went on this ride many years ago and found it totally charming. I still get that magical feeling when I watch it on this video.
This was my favorite ride at Disneyland when I was four (1961). I remember it well. I had a rubber Peter Pan knife and tried to stab Captain Hook as we went around in the galleon. I nearly fell out! I thought Hushpuppy shoes would make me fly like Peter. I was wrong. 😄
i went on this ride when i was 4 years old and i still remember it feels like your flying
+jami lara Yes, I remember that feeling. I was 5 when I went on the ride. Your imagination just takes over and it really did feel like you're flying off to Neverland.

I've been at this ride at midnight. I was really tired so I tried to wake up during the ride. It was actually pretty fun than I thought it would be. The line was longer than every ride.
loved this ride!! take me back, loved disneyland when I was 13, can't wait to go back!
Such a classic. Really takes you back in time.
I love the Peter Pan ride, it is one of my top favourite ride in Disneyland, better than other rides.
you definitely don't want to blink in this ride, theres too much to see in only a matter of seconds! D:
I miss Disneyland so much, this brings back so many memories. Thank you!
You know they still got it right?
@@ericcartman1425 Its closed cause of the virus??
One of my earliest memories is going on this with my older sister when I was 5
Ugh this ride is amazing!! So spectacular when you fly out the window. So magical.
I’m 27 and this is still my fav ride there 🙌🏼
I am 72 and this is still my favorite ride!
This is my all time favorite of the Fantasyland dark rides. Dont care about the long wait. Its totally worth it 😁😁😁
omfg i remembered i was scared when the alligator ate hook . this was like my fave ride ever
This is pretty awesome for a ride built in the 50's. I really want to ride it.
Hard to believe a ride that is over SIXTY YEARS OLD is still so popular!
This is one of my very favorite rides at either Disney World or Disneyland. Thank you so much for bringing back many happy memories!
I remember this ride very well, I absolutely enjoyed it!!
Wow, that really brings back memories. I think this is one of the few childhood memories I have of going to Disney land, when we lived in California. Geez, that was 45 years ago!
I was just at Disneyland for spring break. And this was the last ride we went on and it was fun and such a cute ride. Disneyland really is one of the happiest places on earth!
my mother was deathly afraid of heights, even though we were only about 3 feet off the ground, this ride scared the poopy shit out of her!
emma duncan me too!
emma duncan "poopy shit" I'm crying😂
Really three feet off the ground? I'm not a fan of height but I thought it was a lot higher. I'll enjoy the ride next visit.
I wouldn't blame her .
Wow they really make the depth illusions so good on these rides. You feel so much higher.
My father and I have been on this ride. It’s pretty fun and exciting too.
I remember seeing photos of this ride from my parents' visit in the '80s.
The only thing I dislike about this ride is how short it is. Its my favorite ❤
My favorite, also, besides Small World. They should enlarge it to be like Small World. Or I should say, larger world... But it must've cost a fortune to build, as it is.
The peter pan ride perhaps my favorite out of all the rides in the park.
I am going to California next year and i am looking at all the disneyland rides i should go on this one is on my list ! like this if you love going on vacation
I remember going on this ride when I was 7, I thought you actually were flying and it scared me to death. I was super terrified of heights back then. I'm going in April and I hope I get to go on it, and maybe enjoy it this time around. :D
Rest in peace Robin Williams. He played a grown up Peter Pan in the movie Hook. We will miss him
Damn, that's the line? That's even longer than the line for its sister ride in Orlando!
I absolutely love this ride, the last time I was at Disney I did this ride like 20 times
this is the first ride i ever went on. such sweet memories
I rode this ride with my brother since we were like little baby's when I was 3 I don't know how old was my brother but I don't remember riding this ride I remember riding alice in wonderland snow white pinocchio the little mermaid roger rabbit and winnie the pooh
The most magical ride ever...created by Walt D. himself. (A pitty nightvision seems to be on in this vid.)
Going there friday! woot!
my life is filled with magic you were flying
This ride is awesome
When I was about 4 I think, I rode this ride with my parents and the part I only remembered from this ride was the part where we saw captain hook getting eaten by an alligator but entering the ride I couldn't remember that much. Though, I did remember pirattes of the carribean and small world I dont have that much great throwbacks for most of that sceneries.
That ride is so 10/10
Only 151 days til I'm going!!! :))
This was my favourite ride when I went to DisneyLand. Not the fastest, but magical.
I noticed how skillfully they used black lights and neon to make the colors in each ride pop.
No other theme park like DISNEYLAND.. 💚💚💚
I was scared at first but I ended up loving this ride!:)
This ride's line is ALWAYS packed
Its been 7 years since I went to Disneyland and I used to go a lot with my family when I was younger. I LOVE ALL THE RIDES but if I had to pick my top 2 favorites it would be The Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Roller coaster and Snow White's Scary Adventure. The reason I haven't been back since 2010 is because my family can't afford to travel as much as we used to be able to when I was a lot younger and I'm almost 20 yrs old. But I definitely hope to go to Disneyland again someday whether it be with my family again or anyone that's really close to me.
Thank you for filming the beginning of the ride. I like to see what the "car" looks like but most videos I've seen skip it or you can't make much of it out.
The fucking nostalgia
lol
I loved this ride! But when I was younger I could never really tell if we were that high up as it seemed lol
Its such an old ride, has amazing detail, is still running, and is so unique compared to the other rides. I'd like to see you do better.
Aaaahhh....Thanks, I haven't been to Disney Land for the last 15 yrs, it was still magical tho. It reminded me of when I was there & how I couldn't wrap it around my head that we weren't in some vast area ,it felt as though I was covering some miles! Magical. Thanks for sharing that!🤘
One hour wait, ride is 4 minutes....
Lol
Fax
You should get the fast passes next time you go. You can cut everyone off and it’s funny
Yes
It's looks like really remember review history books documentary about biography history books years before New made mazs New ride 60th anniversary celebration party years birthday before 2016 2015 and make it happen and I have money for the best way magic
Haven't been on this ride in 10 years, can't wait to go back eventually; we go to the parks once a year for at least 3 days but I haven't done this in so long
besnye macam nak main
watching this makes my heart feel happy and sad, happy because it reminds me of my childhood and being with my family, and sad because its been sooooo many years since ive gone on this ride or that my family has been together,
I remember sitting on this ride with my uncle when I was 5 :D
I would lose my absolute shit. I have loved Peter Pan all through my childhood, and Once Upon a Time only intensified my love for fairy tales. I would flip if I could ride in the Jolly Roger
Way to keep believing in the magic! :)
Peter Pan was always my favorite
I remember loving this ride as a little girl...but everytime I go now it’s super packed.
The line for this ride is literally hell, but in a way it’s all worth it
i went for the first time in 7 years and i wanted to cry so badly
My favorites PETER PAN RIDE
thanks!
2:35 the part you're waiting to see.
why?
Penny Lane
Because it's when the ride starts.
Thank you
Well, part of the Peter Pan ride experience is that you wait 2 fucking hours in line for it!
:D
ThatHauntFreak2 thank you
Thank you so much for posting this. My dad took me on this ride over and over as a little girl, I loved it so much. And it's exactly how I remember it. Thank you for stirring up such a wonderful memory for me.
oh its as i remember, twelve years have passed since i was there, now im 22 y.o.
this ride used to be my favorite thing ever
Glad i have the vip tour. No need to wait in lines :)
To the adults that are going to Disneyland.. RIDE THIS. I thought the kiddie rides were going to be hokey, but I really enjoyed them. If you take the time to appreciate the detail and character in each ride, you'll love it.
Wow they changed I’m here in 2022 watching this and the ride is so different I went to Disneyland yesterday it wasent like this it’s crazy
*watching the people in the boats, two elderly ladies, a woman and child, etc.* This park continues to make people of all ages happy. Walt would be happy. :)
omg such a long line
That's actually a shorter one than usual....
It's ALWAYS the slowest line in Disneyland. The ride is only 2 minutes, and you stand there for an hour, but it has so many old memories that I always just do it.
Lol
It is annoying that I want to push people out of the line
I went in mid September, it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. We'd just jump off, run down to the line & immediately junp right back on! So Fun!!!
This is memories I went Disney land last month it's to fun omg and hyper space mountain is my favourite (I was only 9 and they let me on)
I'm a grown man I liked this ride. This may should cheesy but it was magical.
Thanks for posting. This is my favorite ride at Disneyland, and seeing the video makes me so happy!
Favorite ride of all time
One time on thanksgiving my mom and her side of the family took to me to Disneyland and my mom forced me to go mr toad wild ride and I was freaked out/ shocked by it cause there’s a scene where you get hit by a train and then go to hell. After that my mom took me to the Peter Pan ride and I enjoyed myself heck even 14 year me blew a kiss at Peter. Ahh good times good times
if they ever got rid of this ride i would cry. it's my favorite in the park and i'm 17 years old
I'm 17 two and never been on this ride Peter pan's my favorite movie and Disney character so two biggest Disney goals for me are getting to see Peter and wendy in person and getting to ride this ride
Its one of my favoride ride in disneyland, thank you!
Yeeeeee thank you I believe in Peter Pan and he's my favorite Disney character and real life boy 😱😂
I never seen Peter Pan! I've been to Disneyland as a child many times and last year I was there n I never knew this ride was there!😳😱😩
the line is always SO LONG!!
I love this ride a lot.♡♡
I can't wait to go to Disney this summer!!
I'm going this winter. :') I always go on this for my Mom, who is bedridden and can't go to Disneyland anymore.
the first Disneyland ride I ever went on when I was 4
I remember going on this ride in Disney Land Paris in 2008 and it was probably the best thing I've ever been on 😂 X
Because I was 4 then, I legit thought we were flying and then and put my hand off the ship (haha rebel) and felt water. I asked my mum if we were going over a river and she said yes. I started to cry because I thought the crocodile would eat us. ;-;
The ride with the longest line!!
I went when I was ten and we got stuck on it for like an hour and a half. Luckily for us, we were over london so it was still pretty magical. :)
I've haven't rode it myself but it looks nice!
I always loved this actration ;v;
good childhood~
Best ride period.
My all time favorite ride!!!!!!
