...yes I am interested in collaborations.
Your library was freaking me out. Lol my OCD was like no, all the areas need to be filled on. I organized my ebooks and my sure the Title, Author, Publisher and Publish Date and correct then if there is a series I add that. I love the metadata filter, I have spent hours fixing my ebooks. Love picking new covers too. Great video
Would you share your collection on a drive? I would love to see it :)
Same. Just learned the correct pronunciation too a few days ago. Been calling it " caleebray" for about a decade. Pretty sure I'm just going to keep calling it that anyway. It's one of those words that you just say in your head and almost never have the chance to say it out loud in real life.
Lol I was just thinking to my self... when he said that. I was like wait a min haha.
there is libre in calibre for a reason
I LOVE how you are using Linux!
I love my Kobos and they support EPUB. I also have a Kindle for testing ebooks on, but I hate using kindlegen for everything I want to put on it. I don’t use Calibre for converting, only for storing EPUBs on my PC.
And you can disable covers screensaver on kobos.
darn, I was reading the name same as you XD lol
Hi, excuse me how do you organize your books on your Ereader?
haha i also said calib-re
I would go for the kobo. I’ve recently swapped from kindle to kobo. I love the kobo
Software, i agree. But hardware, the oasis is better quality than anything kobo make
@@HexDSL. Kobo have 2 bigger kobo in their range that the kindle. They are the kobo forma which is 8 inches and the kobo slips a which is 10.3 inches and can be used to read ebooks and makes notes
I agree but the oasis has a flat screen with no ridge, an aluminium back place and automatic lighting adjustment, zero shell flex, is waterproof and 32gb storage for £220 (I think that was a sale price)
Not saying its better for everyone but it ticked my boxes
Great video mate!
I've plugged in my Kindle Paperwhite, and under the Device menu I am trying to open the Metadata to get some covers, but its saying all the books have no metadata, am I missing a step to get the metadata from ebooks purchased from Amazon?
Is this mice just for decoration?
how to import notes from caliber thanks a bunch if you can answer that it will be very helpful to me
Why I can't see the books I downloaded to my kindle thru calibre on my phone kindle app ? Somebody knows to fix that feature?
If you downloaded them to your Kindle, they are physically on that device. Your not adding them to your account.
@@HexDSL how can I add them to the account, ? I try adding the email to calibre to send them thru there but for some reason it won't let me send them like that, please help me, thank you
@@HexDSL please help me out thank you
What is your favorite site for downloading free books?
www.gutenberg.org/
I want to buy Kindle 6' (10th gen) can I send ebooks from calibre to kindle device for free?
you can send from calibre to any kindle e-ink device
Where can you purchase DRM free books? I know about the Kobo store any place else you would suggest?
I usually buy drm free from Baen Books. I haven't heard of Kobo, will check them out as well.
Kobo isn't DRM free, it depends on the publisher. Kobo sells epub format, which uses Adobe's ebook drm
Humble bundle have ebook bundles a lot
Tor is a sci-fi/fantasy publisher that does not require DRM in their books.
😏
also kindles use amazons own awz-something format (which calibre can actually convert to pdf) which is great. the only reason i have it around...
pdf is actually useful because everybody probaly has a pdf reader around anyway while all the other formats are not as widely used and may require special software.
