Your Kindle Paperwhite (11th generation) videos are excellent. I recently bought a 2021 edition and your many videos have given this decades old reader a quick path to customizing my device for improved reading and saved me time troubleshooting "how-to" fixes. Thank you.

Another way of easier "navigation" is to choose the "list," rather than "grid" option for viewing and then to organize your library into categories, "fiction," "cooking," what have you. I have about 8 categories. Every time I download/send a book to my Kindle, I immediately transfer it to the appropriate category, so that I know where to find it! 😉📚

Thanks, Maneet. (Hope I'm not being forward.) I'm reminded of a poll Microsoft made 20-30 years ago. It asked its Office users what features they would like added to MS Word. Turned out that the most desired features were already built in. Users just didn't know it.
For the last 10 years I used a Paperwhite 1 and have very recently upgraded to a 2021 Paperwhite 5 (Kindle 11) your comments are very helpful to learn my way around
Thanks for these. Really helpful. I discovered the "mini-swipe" option for advancing pages etc a few weeks back. However, I've also discovered that you can simply "tap" on the Screen at almost any point just to the right of the left hand side of the Screen and the page will advance. I wish it were possible to "lock" the progress in the book options. Sure, you can "select" them, but I find that, the merest touch of the bottom of the screen keeps changing the option. I'd like to be able to "lock" just the % of the progress, which was set, by default, in my old 4th Gen Kindle! 😉📚
Thanks for sharing Maneetpaul! I would also suggest people activate the "Display Cover" option as the kindle screensaver. Your anecdote about about sending your prayers as a PDF was very relatable. As a Jew, I used to know people who have the prayer book as a PDF on their phone (NOT my jam scrolling in and out in the middle of the main meditation lol). Thankfully we now have full on apps for that stuff that deal with the formatting properly.
Appreciate your videos - I'm looking at purchasing the Paperwhite as a way to be more productive with my time as opposed to being on social media. I downloaded the Kindle app on my Samsung tablet a few days ago just to get into it and I discovered 8 books I'd downloaded 11 years ago, 2 of which I hadn't read - back when the internet was slow and social media was just taking off. It was truly refreshing to get back into reading and took me back to how life used to be :)

Have the keyboard one still even now. Bet you didnt know you could sideload MP3s and music or podcasts into those. This way you can read AND use it like an ipod at the same time. I use this one off and on from my modern paperwhite and its got about 8 hours of music and white noise style playlists and you can listen with headphones or the external speakers. :)
@@nikobuerk346 I did not know this! Mine still works but there's huge lines on the screen, still kind of useable though, will be booting it up at the weekend, thanks for sharing 🤓
@@kezla Yep! Unfortunately no ability to add fonts like later kindles. It can surf the internet very slowly like most kindles, but the 3rd gen Keyboard has a secret super power in the menu under the experimental tab and in it is playing mp3s (or podcasts if you can get them into that format.). There is no limit to the size or length of the files but be mindful that there isn't a way to play a specific song or something or make playlists. It's basically a really big ipod shuffle mini where you can play, pause, or skip (no shuffle though). Just storage and playback. Pressing ALT and the Space Bar at the same time (i think this is the key combo) starts the music. It has external speakers built in so it can play out loud or you can plug in some headphones which I find to be the best thing to do. Very unique as i've never heard of another kindle version having this after or before the Keyboard model, and I love using it. File should show up when you plug it into your computer.

An alternative I’ve found to eliminate ghosting is simply to turn the Kindle upside down (e.g., tip the top of the page toward the floor) to trigger the reorientation page refresh: ghosts gone. The tip it back to read again.

Really nice tips… i found my kindle paperwhite 2021 can’t send the note to my email, there’s no option to export the note at the bottom of display.. i don’t know why…
Hello, Thanks for your video. I can see all the features you talked about, but now I cannot open the books in my library. I have turned it off and restarted device. Any ideas on how to fix this?
I have a Kindle 6th Gen. I do not know what Kindle version you have, but hopefully they should pretty much work the same. Font size can be change. I know that if I run my fingers across my screen as if I am trying to zoom in or zoom out, a font box pops up and I can adjust my font size. I can also go to my Page Display option. And change font there as well. When I open a book, I tap at the top of the page and get a Page Display Option. Under my option I have all my themes showing: Compact, Standard, Large and Low Vision. It's easier for me to pick which style of print I like, which I have mine set to Large. Under the Font & Setting Option, I can set the Font (Type, Bold and Size level), Page (Layout), Reading (What I want to see on my reading pages) and Theme (Compact, Standard, Large and Low Vision). For Themes only the themes that's not hidden will appear under Page Display. Whatever I want to show, I click on show. If I want to change font size using Page Display, all I do is tap top of the page I am on, click Page Display, choose my theme if it's no longer chosen and this happens when I change things, it jumps to Custom. After I see that my theme is chosen, then I click on Font & Page and set my size and anything else that I want to change and click close. My settings will be for all my books. If you need to use Low Vision, choose that option which the default size on my Kindle 6th edition is 11 and it can be raised to 15 either sizing option. I hope my comment makes sense to you and is helpful to you.
Hello Maneetpaul, Thank you so much for the very informative video. Our son died in January and he has an Amazon Kindle that I won't mind having. What is your opinion on the best way to change it to my account? I would really appreciate some guidance. I do have one problem though, I am in the UK and my Amazon account is connected to my India phone number (which I cannot access) so I cannot receive the security code they want to send me. :(

Unfortunatelly Kinde 11 (2022) does not have turn page animation option :( Or it has but I don't see it
I have a Kindle Oasis and there's no exporting notes function and screenshot taking
Any news on the ability to use browser besides just the experimental one I see when connecting to public wifi?
The browser is still the same one as always.
Love the beard. I’m jealous
Export Pdf notes unfortunately didn't work for me. Maybe it's because my kindle is too old or because I didn't buy the book on amazon.
That's correct, the book has to be purchased from Amazon
Hello Maneetpaul, Thank you so much for the very informative video. Our son died in January and he has an Amazon Kindle that I won't mind having. What is your opinion on the best way to change it to my account? I would really appreciate some guidance.
I do have one problem though, I am in the UK and my Amazon account is connected to my India phone number (which I cannot access) so I cannot receive the security code they want to send me. :(
Great
How can I get your book 2022
For privacy, switch off the wifi and download books via usb to your computer, then sideload them onto your kindle.
Outside of a school textbook, I've never understood why someone would take notes while reading a book
I take notes on nonfiction books every single day!
