I've watched your videos for the last few years and have come to realize you're very lucky to have a friend like Hans. What a warm, wonderfully kind person.
Our Family we used to have a 1965 Plymouth Valiant we drove the tires off that car and it only had a 225 Slant 6 but those small engines were bullet proof you could always get them to run. That's a great find. Thanks for the video.
Chairs were probably made by Standard Tube in Woodstock, ON. Every school had "millions" of them, you had to lay out for big meetings etc.....if you went to school in the fifties.
The stereotype of the ‘shady’ antique dealer couldn’t be further from the truth regarding you Alex. You’re the most generous buyer, fixer upper, dream maker & all round flipping diamonds that ever dealt in antiques. If I had a hoard on my hands- I’d be happy to have you deal with it if I couldn’t. (‘House clearance people in my area have zero humanity) Every community so desperately needs an Alex & co
Alex you and your friends are totally awesome. You have some great friends. I absolutely love your videos. You have a wonderful family and lots of great friends.
Just last week I've lost my job and got into a career change wanting to do exactly what you do! And just find your channel a couple days later. I'll keep watching for sure!
I just love these videos sharing your treasure hunting and adventures. Thanks for all your efforts and taking the time to film all this for us. It can’t be easy. 👍🏻
I would’ve laughed my butt off if you had opened the door to the attic and waiting for you was a squirrel holding pine cones. 😂 Hans is the human version of an anti depressant. Hans could make anyone feel better!
I drove a 1974 4-door Plymouth Valiant. The thing was a tank...so well made. It ran for years and years. Damn fine vehicle. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore.
This was exciting for me. My very first brand new car was a '64 Valliant 2 dr post with a 225 slant 6. Ah, those teen years. Great memories. I changed the hub caps out for "baby moons" and moved the shifter from the column to the floor, then jacked up the front tortion bars so the car sat like a "California raked" gasser. Thanks for the memories good buddy. 🙄
@@bradzimmerman3171 thanks for the comment Brad. I was a kid just 17, when I got that car. Dad paid up the bill, and I paid him in full, incl. Interest, over the next 2 yrs. The hub caps were the first change, so it wouldn't look like I was borrowing my dad or mom's car. They would never put "baby moons" on their car. None of what I did to make that car "look mean" make It faster, although the Fenton floor shifter was spring loaded for fast 1st to 2nd shift. What great old memories. Cheers! ✌ P.S. the whole car, brand new was only $2,200.00
Another fun adventure with Alex and friends :) My dad used to buy cars like that in the early 70's for a couple hundred and tune them up and drive them for work cars.
I love watching this channel, It's always nice seeing the things of the past still living on. Watching every video and hoping to learn more about the past history. Good work guys and ladies, keep them coming. if you ever come to the UK I'd love meet you guys..
Just found my own barn find here in BC....but mine has been sitting since 1965! Its an old Grumman van....and he had more than one! I have plans for mine but the other one would made a good van for hauling antique goods! ;)
Tell Hans and Zenovia(?) that there's a secondary filter inside the plastic cone. It's at the base of the motor. That is usually why Filter Queens lose suction.
I recognize those Canadian Tire seat covers. My mom put a set on our 1970 LTD when I was a kid. When we sold it after 8 years the seats were perfect underneath.
@@mrdiplomat9018 Nope, if I'm not wrong, those were options. Chrysler was very creative at the time ! The instant I saw those, I knew it was a Valiant. It probably boast the iconic, bullet proof Slant Six in it.
Edmonton had their own "J,C. Whitney" type walk in store downtown, in the fifties called "Midland Auto Supply" That is probably where those lights came from.
Those add on tail lights are wild. I remember old rural postal carriers who used their own cars would do this as they made so many frequent stops they wanted extra lights to make them more visible.
A big HELLO from Beautiful Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. LOVE your videos, ALWAYS entertaining and educational. THANK YOU for sharing your ADVENTURES and your knowledge and information about antiques. 👍😊👍
Always fun to come along on your adventures. Hoping the someday soon you will come across the bridge and dig through my moms estate with me! Found lots of toy cars during the Sunday live feed last week and so many watchers said they are cars you collect! Not redlines though!
Love the lights on the trunk, that really sets it off. This would make a great go to town car, drive in milkshake mobile, coffee getter. Spend a couple days cleaning and buffing it might surprise you.
Another neat find…I love the colour of this vintage Valiant and the lights on the back fenders. And stop laughing at that old Filter Queen vacuum…that’s what I’m still using🥴😉Lol‼️
I played Go to the Head of the Class game growing up. It was from my mom's childhood. She probably played it in the 1940s. I remember it as a fun game, although a bit dated by the time I played it. How cool to see it again!
The car has a US-spec '63 Dodge Dart C-pillar and tail end, but a '63 Plymouth Valiant front end. Such a hybrid was probably a standard Canadian model.
This car brings back memories for me, my dad had a valiant as well, a later model with 4 doors and he sold it in '77 or'78 because of the rust to the body.
My parents had a filter Queen it was amazing! It reminds me of R2D2, 😂. I know Pan Am in NY used to use them to vacuum the planes that’s why my Dad bought it. He worked for Pan Am from after WWII till 1983
Alberta is looking quite wonderful this time of year. Spent several visits in Lethbridge in the late 1990s. Was a little cold and windy in the winter...lol
I loved my '63 Valiant..drove it for a decade...

Nice to see Hans and Zinovia and Charlie again! Thanks for taking us along on this adventure!
Loved that old garage/shed, it had a lot of charm! Hans and Zinovia and Charlie, what great friends! XXX
Alberta is so beautiful in June. I lived in Alberta for 25 years and your drive out here reminded me (bugs and all!).
I love it when Alex finds cars big and small , he’s like a kid at Christmas. Lol. Such fun to watch.
Me too Bertha. I love sharing his joy and enthusiasm
Seems like nice people.
The sound of those attic latches turning is golden. I could feel them turning in my hand just listening to them! The small things
The car is lovely. It will look great when restored. Thanks for rescuing her.
The stack of chairs that were just there as you opened the door.... Be still my heart!!! I just love seeing what you uncover!
Those chairs caught my eye too.
The most uncomfortable chairs ever invented! Dont miss those at all.
Me too, would be perfect with my eBay dining room table

WOW, a Valiant front end and a Dart rear end. How cool is that! Love the Canadian variants on these cars. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Michigan.
I love when Hans laughs. He does it with such a joy
😂😂😂😂
You have such a fun job, Alex! And I love Hans’ laugh! It make me smile each time I hear it.

Canadian Valiant, with a Dart back end, love to have it.

Charlie did look good in that car. I actually like that car.
