Alex, Great video. Y'all do a great job cleaning out houses quickly. So happy that you're willing to help a lot of people out even if that means you make less money for yourself. Y'all are awesome! Keep the videos coming. 😊
@@MommaC1106 it's true, they do the date thing just to cover their a**es. It's all about liability, all company's do it, large & small. Always load your trailer with the heavy items forward. If the rear is loaded heavy it can make the trailer pop off. Make sure the trailer ball is the correct size for the trailer as they vary. I was a semi truck driver a very long time ago. Good job keeping it under control and keeping everyone safe. Not easy to do when the trailer falls off.
Yup, Gramps said " the load should be as close to the engine as possible" and if you're hauling one horse in a 2 horse trailer, the load goes behind the driver, the high side of the crown of the road. Happy Trails.
@@todddenio3200 Yes, good point, I have one on my horse trailer, it's a straight pin (with a wire clip) slides thru the hitch, where a padlock would go.
Temove the records from the covers and then dry the slips in your airing cupboard, or in a very warm room and then dry rub off the mould outside of the house . That way, you'll save the cover slip for the records of value.
You and your family are amazing. You donate so much stuff to your family and friends and to charity. A lot of people would keep everything and have yard sales instead of donating. You always think of others.
Obviously the scale is massively different but few things bring me more joy then when I find some really cool or useful piece when I'm out thrifting that I know one of my loved ones wants/needs. I must feel so good to know that you're able to provide this equipment for your family.
This property is an amazing insight into the life of a complete bachelor, living an outdoor, thrill seeking life, probably youngish. I don't know how he died, but I hope he wasn't in pain. It seems so sad and lonely that his closest living relative is overseas and there is no family close enough to handle the packing up of his life. You are doing a great service, Alex and family.
You are a very generous man Alex. I hope everyone appreciates your giving! I love the clean out adventures. - tho this one is a little tame lol! It's gonna be hard to beat the big scary guy or Mary's house!
Do you have a mismatch between the size of the ball on the truck and the size of the hitch on the trailer? I had that happen once with a 2" ball and a 2 5/16" hitch on the trailer.
Wow! You and your family are such hard workers, Alexander! Those folks coming from Ukraine will have everything they need, thanks to you all. Please be safe! God bless you and your family. ♥️
It is so nice to see you donating…and how cool that you have found a “clean” house. And that the cars and truck run. I can’t wait to see how the motorcycle and dirt bikes are. Great to see you enjoying your project.
I can’t help but wonder who this guy was and what his story was. His house looks like he just left one day and never returned, especially his clothes and shoes in the bathroom. It would appear that he was very athletic and healthy. Alex, will you be doing his story like you did the potter and the musician?
What a nice thing you are doing between donating, helping the youth group and the people for Ukraine. You are a very unselfish person, Alex, which I’ve noticed all along over the years of watching your videos❤️❤️👍
I am loving this series! You have the gift of making things interesting and entertaining, Alex! PS I’m glad the trailer mishap caused you no great injury - that’s scary stuff.
I just finished watching Josh's vlog with the window breakage and now your towing snafu. Was it a full moon? Lol. Things are moving along nicely. Can't wait for the rest...thanks for sharing!
Make sure your using the right ball size to tow the trailer. Your new trailer likely has a 2”5/16” ball. I’m suspicious that you may have been towing with a common 2” ball. The only other thing that could have happened is you failed to close the coupler on the trailer. If the ball is not to worn the the size will be printed on top.
Alex, you need a storage shed at your property to keep stuff in temporarily while you 'process' your finds. It could really take the pressure off you if you could just haul stuff out and wait to sort through it at your leisure - without clogging your garage!
Love watching these videos. You do such a comprehensive job and find a way to bless others. I'm so glad you were all safe when trailer unhitched! Thank you for using the safety chains. A father and his grown son were killed in our area when the trailer hitched to the vehicle in front of them came loose and slammed into them on a bridge. That trailer was NOT attached with backup safety chains. Way to show the right way to do things! With love from BanDana Gramma
It’s surprising but watching movies and music will even help with language skills sometimes. My daughter taught English in Ukraine in Peace Corps for few years and that is one thing she told me. They often had cartoons even for the younger children on weekend. It was a school that boarded children from the whole district. Otherwise kids couldn’t get to school being so far from towns out on farms. There were also locals who attended. She taught 3rd level to graduation and has been home for 10 years and some kids keep in touch with her.
I make an awesome Corned beef dip. Sour cream, cream cheese, "wash-your-sister" sauce and the Corned beef ( shredded). Mix, let set in fridge a few hours. Best with thin wheats.
I’m guessing that the hitch came off because you have a 2 inch hitch and a 1 7/8 inch ball. I’ve seen it happen before. I always thought it was crazy to have 2 different sizes.
Alex do check the dvd's you give to the people from Ukraine, I don't think they will want to watch anything to do with war or anything harrowing. Poor people have had a belly full of that. Love it when you discover gems.
Great video! Inspiring on lots of levels ... love that the furniture and household kitchen items will go to people who can use them in their new start in a new country. I have things I haven't used in years that would be better off being used by someone else. Love your inspiring work and videos!
Just so you know - On the hot water tank, the two vertical copper tubes are the water inlet and outlet, and the center White pipe is the natural gas exhaust pipe (which is likely where the smell is coming from, since the natural gas vents out of here you will smell some trace amounts). The black pipe that goes into the hot water heater is the natural gas pipe!
