    Thank you. My check engine light came on my 2009 Explorer.So I took it to have diagnosed at Auto Zone and the same code came up. I am taking it to the shop tomorrow. I checked RUclips and saw your video and it gave me a clear vision of the problem. Your instructions are so clear to a novice like me.

    Thanks!! That code has been bugging me for 2 years, I ignored it because I had no operational issues with the car; I changed the sensor and no P0193 code now for 2 months on my 2004 Mercury Sable. - THANK YOU!! BTW- I was quoted between $275 and $350 to replace it at shops, I bought the part for $42.50 (retail store) and changed it out in 15 minutes, still many $$$$ ahead!!

    Dont put dielectric grease directly on the connections. A lot of people think this grease conducts electricity. It does the opposite. It's an insulator. You use it on the plastic and rubber fittings around connections.

    Appreciated 👍 very well done and good explanation very simple and to the point .
    I have a problem if you can help me out please ,
    It’s a Range Rover sport 2010 3.0 diesel.
    1-Starts straight away
    2-engine light is on and it’s on limp mode
    3- throwing code p0193
    4-change the high pressure fuel rail including the sensor
    5-changed map and maf sensors
    6-car won’t rev past 3
    7-max speed goes up to 70mph
    8-drops the rev and speed when going uphill
    9-sometimes on a flat road it drops the speed to 20mph and rev won’t past 2
    10-recently got it services and changed all the filters including fuel filter .
    11-i have got a cheap OBD scanner and saw a fuel pressure on live data it shows 22000 and it’s still won’t go up and down when rev .
    12-when sudden floor the gas paddle it will drop the speed rev won’t go up it feels like fuel not coming or exhaust is blocked ,fuel or exhaust system feel squeezed .but if rev it slowly /gradually then it picks up speed until I floor the peddle but when release the paddle half way up then it feels bit of ease .
    13-sorry for the very long message but I wanted some help desperately and wanted to describe as much as possible .been to land hover specialist and few other garages but no joy ,some say it’s an electric issue and some say it’s a high school reassure fuel pump and some say it’s a turbo or pcm issue but no 1 is able to figure it out exactly ..
    ( I have a short video uploaded as well on RUclips ) any help would be appreciated.👍

    I'm pulling 274.21 psi on my fuel rail pressure reading. No code though. I'm running lean though. Is this a high reading. Seems insane to me but not sure what the spec is on my Ford 3.0L Duratec DOHC V-6.

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  3 года назад

      Yea should be more like 35psi or so

    • @RickyPisano
      @RickyPisano 3 года назад

      @@NoNonsenseKnowHow Yep. My scanner was reading p/ka not psi. So that's fine. I had a lean condition in Bank 1 and guess what!! Upon further investigation of my lean condition, especially in Bank 1, I found oil in the spark plug well on cylinders 4 and 5, Bank 2, on my Ford 3.0L DOHC Duratec V-6 engine. Cylinder 6 was clean. I haven't been able to check the Bank 1, 1, 2 and 3 cylinders because they are against the firewall and I need to remove the Intake Manifold. So I know at least 2 cylinders on bank 2 were misfiring. I'm not sure how this would cause a lean condition in Bank 1 though. At any rate I found what could possibly be causing everything. What a pain. This car was meticulously maintained and is in perfect condition. Just a shame. I have my work cut out for me now. Any advice would be appreciated!!

    I’ve got a 2004 Ford F-150 and I’ve got a p0171 code and already changed o2 censors MAF and EVAC hose but the check engine light and p0171 code comes back. What could it be??

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  5 лет назад +1

      That's indicating a lean condition on bank 1. It could be an intake manifold leak, or a multitude of other things. Best would be to get a smoke tester and smoke the intake to check for leaks

  • @larrye7619
    @larrye7619 4 года назад

    Hello. Thank you for a well described video. I have the same 05 Escape 3.0L. that gave the P0193 code. I replaced the FRP sensor with one off Ebay. Are not all sensors identical? The car runs better but stutters with A/C on. Now gives off a code P0182 (Fuel Temperature Sensor A Circuit Low Input
    ) Apparently there is no such part for this car. Is my error due to buying cheaper? Is there a way to test the sensors. Thank you.

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  4 года назад

      No problem. And yes I think you hit the nail on the head. All sensors are definitely not created equal. I would suggest using the Bosch part and then going from there to see if the problem persists. There is a link to it on Amazon in the description down below. But they are probably on eBay as well. Although I will say eBay tends to have more counterfeit parts

  • @7jack7
    @7jack7 5 лет назад +1

    My 2005 Ford Escape 3.0 set a P0191 code. No check engine light. Autozone pulled code. Symptoms were dying in flight and restarting with no input from me, and dying at a stop and restarting immediately with key. You say 9 times out of 10, when codes are set that originate with the Fuel Pressure Sensor on these vehicles, the sensor is at fault. Is there a way to check the sensor for proper operation? Would a sensor that throws these codes cause the symptoms I describe, or should I be suspicious of the fuel pump. I don't think the 2005 has a fuel pump driver module.
