A Roman Epic set in an imagined Modern America. The City of New Rome must change, causing conflict between Cesar Catilina, a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero, who remains committed to a regressive status quo, perpetuating greed, special interests, and partisan warfare. Torn between them is socialite Julia Cicero, the mayor's daughter, whose love for Cesar has divided her loyalties, forcing her to discover what she truly believes humanity deserves.
Starring Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmaneul, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf & Jon Voight.

I don't know if this is going to be good or not or wether It will be a success (doubtful), but old Francis doesn't care, He's making this movie just for himself because he wanted to. Don't see that much in cinema these days, Francis did it with his own money, that takes balls, something the film industry doesn't have much of these days. It will be interesting to say the least.

Watch it. Even if you don't like it, watch it for its sheet originality and brilliance that Coppola would bring. Hope they release in India soon.

Just when we all thought Francis was out, HE PULLS HIMSELF BACK IN.
Saw MEGALOPOLIS at Cannes and Good god was int Fantastic, without a doubt the Best film i saw there.
Im now waiting for it's global release and in the meantime i have nothing to do but rewatch this beautifull trailer again

I don’t think this movie will be everyone cup of tea. On the same hand the director is amazing the cast are stars. So I think this movie for me will be a must watch. Plus I like Shia a lot as a actor so it should be good

He went mad while shooting Apocalypse Now and never came back from that jungle. Rumble Fish (1983) is also very trippy, it looks like a 1950s street gang movie on LSD
It's a trailer. And how many times have we been fooled by a trailer? Legions. I'm looking forward to it none the less. I saw 'Apocalypse Now' in the theater when it first came out. Quite an experience for a seventeen year old... not much older than Laurence Fisburne. Funny that he's in this film, too. Seems to me that it's echoing the 'Fountainhead'. Question is if the audience is intelligent enough to "get it". But that red/blue Obamaesque "hope and change" propaganda is trying to tell us something.
Why do I hate and like this? It's like I'm half intrigued as hell, and half annoyed.
