  • I love driving in the Hill Country north of Bandera. It's one of my favorite places to go on a Sunday. There are so many back roads to explore, and FM 2107 north of Medina is amazing. The road crosses the North Prong of the Medina River 3 times, giving easy access to the spring fed, crystal clear river whose headwaters are a mere 15 miles upstream. This was my fist time putting my kayak in up here, and I had a great day of fishing.

    Hey Scott,
Just curious how you find your fishing/kayaking spots.
I have several kayaks of all shapes and sizes. I've just about given up trying to find a kayaking buddy. I'm always asking and offering to fish with anyone but never any takers or anyone willing to commit to a trip.
I'm guessing you're out of San Antonio or the surrounding area.
Thanks for the pleasant videos and saying where you launch from.

I usually look on Google Earth to scope out potential spots, then I'll go drive by those areas to see if parking is viable. I haven't done much fishing lately, but next time I'm planning a trip I'll hit you up.
