- Metal / rock fans first time reaction to Reba McEntire and Linda Davis's "Does he Love You," while checking out some Tin Cup.
What’s crazy is Linda Davis was actually Reba’s background singer. They had her sing with Reba just for the demo and then they were going to find another singer to sing with Reba on the song. After hearing the demo Reba said she doesn’t need to find anyone else and sang with Linda Davis. Another fact Linda Davis’s daughter is actually also famous country music singer as well and sings as a part of lady antebellum.
The end of this video is epic. Reba asked Linda to sing the demo of this song with her. Reba's label wanted to find someone else to sing with her but she said she wanted to use the version with Linda. Also, you guys need to check out Lady A. Linda's daughter Hilary Scott is apart of that group/trio. Linda used to be part of Reba's band in the 80s and early 90s. She didn't make big on her own.
they originally wanted trisha yearwood or someone similar, which would not have worked as well.
@@tomuchcamoflauge Having Reba's backup singer was genius.
Reba: "He Gets That From Me", "Somebody" and "The Greatest Man I Never Knew"
Somebody's Chelsea 💙
Check out For My Broken Heart and If I Had Only Known from her albums after her band was killed
You should add Reba and Vince Gill's The Heart Won't Lie. She does some incredible stuff with Vince. Also, Reba's Still is a great song or for my Broken Heart.
Yeah that one for her band members that died is really emotional. She talked about that in an interview. "For My Broken Heart"
Most of her songs are awesome.😊
If they watch that video it will drive Keith absolutely insane military-wise, he may have to just listen to the song bc the video will tick him off. Actually, he should watch it because that would be funny.
One of the best Reba songs to check out, in my opinion, is The Greatest Man I Never Knew. Amazing vocals and such a great story. One of my personal favorites!
If you really want it hear Reba’s voice at its finest, listen to You Lie… that one really shows how talented of a vocalist she is. Love Reba🎶🎵
Linda was picked for this song by Reba as Linda was a test singer for new songs for singers and reba notices how close their voices were. This was no accident
Some of my favourites by Reba:
Take It Back
Why Haven’t I Heard From You
I’m a Survivor
Little Rock
He Gets That From Me
The Greatest Man I Never Knew
Just Like Them Horses (have tissues handy)
One of my favorite Reba songs is consider me gone. Really though her catalog is so big you can't go wrong with her music
Fun fact: the director that yells "BOOM, there it goes" is Rob Reiner, he played Michael "meathead" Stivic, Archie's son-in-law on All In The Family, he actually directed the video in real life.
Epic delivery... even the 1st time I watched it, the sly smile Reba gives 2 seconds before the boat blew told me something was going to happen.
It made us soooooo happy! - Keith
Earlier this year, to celebrate this song’s 25th yr anniversary, Reba re-recorded with Dolly. The video is amazing!
ooo, I'd like to hear that. - Keith
I just commented to vote for that one it was priceless hearing those two ladies on the same track.
the Dolly version has nothing on this version.
Linda was Rebas back up singer for years, and supported her in her solo career. I think Rob Riener, director in the video was kinda having a good time. That little smile Reba gave before that boat blew up was priceless.
This was the comment I was looking for to see if someone mentioned she was her backup singer.
Reba has a song called "On my own" that she does with Linda Davis, Trisha Yearwood and Martina McBride lots of female vocal powerhouse in that.
Absofrigginlutely... I get the ol' goosies when the girls really open those pipes...
I love that song
I LIKE both women and there voices
Wow, the ending is epic. Never got all the way through that video before.
Every Other Weekend and He Gets That From Me are 2 amazing Reba songs!!!
On My Own- live, reba mcentire, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride and Linda Davis this is absolutely fantastic!!
I just said the same
The vocals and production of the music are ✨chef's kiss✨. The amazing thing is how their voices make you FEEL the tragic story that the lyricist wrote, 100 times more. You feel the pain. I still cry when I hear this song. Two incredibly beautiful artistic ladies. 💖
The vocals were unreal. - Keith
PLEASE check out Own My Own live with Reba, Trisha Yearwood, Tina McBride and Linda Davis all together.
The singer in the music group "lady Antebellum" is Linda Davis"s daughter .. ❤️ one of their most popular songs is "NEED you Now" which is good yall should try it...
On my own - Reba, Martina,Linda, Trisha
Linda tried to make it on her own but when Reba asked her to do this one with her, Linda became Reba's back up vocalist. So from 1993 to now, you hear Linda with Reba.
Loved y'alls reaction! It was priceless! Thank you for the early AM giggle.
Glad you enjoyed it! - Keith
One of my favorites was when she performed a duet of “Because of You” with Kelly Clarkson.
If you can find it, they performed this at the ACM’s or the CMA’s that year. It was amazing to watch live.
Reba Marathon!!
If we had the votes/bribes, I'd totally be cool with that. - Keith
Absolutely 😀 I could listen to her all day
G'day boys,
A couple of good Reba belters for you; "Time On My Hands", "You Lie". Reba also does a few of those "stick it to him in a sweet, slightly humourous way" type of numbers too, like "Take It Back" "Why Haven't I Heard From You", and some just plain feel good stuff like "Goin'Out Like That" "Somebody's Chelsea" "Somebody". Then there's some of her early stuff, "Little Rock", "One Promise Too Late"... her back catalogue is just incredible, going back to 1986, so there's heaps to choose from... 🙃🐨🇦🇺
The look on your faces when it went boom was priceless. Thanks for the reaction.
Linda Davis has been a country music writer for years! Check out the song she wrote as a tribute to King George Strait! Just Stand There and Sing. ❤
6:00 - Exactly!.. Thank goodness I'm not the only one with that sentiment towards Sugarland's "Stay".
I've been feeling like I've been on a island about that song since it came out so many years ago.
When you said I hope they both just leave him. I was like, oh just you wait… And YES, I love the vocals of both women. They are both awesome and so talented!!!
Linda Davis has been around Nashville a long time-- so underrated!
That reaction was EPIC! I was waiting for it. 😂. As far as I know this was the only hit Linda Davis ever had which is a shame because she is so damn good. BUT her daughter is Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum. (Which I'm surprised you haven't had more requests for).
I'm not sure if we have ANY requests for L. A. Dustin would know better though. He tracks those. - Keith
I’ve been waiting for people to request Lady A
Lady A Ocean is a must. Hillary's vocals on that song is out of this world!!
@@BourbonCountryReacts you guys have a bribe waiting at vine & table. I know you're working through requests, so no hurry!
And I forgot to put on there, but this is for the music video. It's the only music video he's ever made and he did it with a purpose.
Linda Davis and Vince Gill, The Heart Won’t Lie
Have always loved this song & the video. Two great voices together. Not to take away from Reba & Linda, but. Yesterday a legend, the great Loretta Lynn has left us for Heaven. Are or would you pay tribute to this beautiful LADY??? Unfortunately for us fans, the legendary singers of Country Music are leaving us fast. At least it feels that way to me. Loretta is reunited with her loved ones & again singing with Patsy Cline & Conway Twitty. Loretta has always been musically a part of my life & l will miss her dearly!
We could record a reaction to one of Loretta's songs, but the pipeline from selection to dropping the vid can sometimes be as long as two months. - Keith
Oh, and Reba & Brooks and Dunn “ if you see him/if you see her” duet. Is an awesome duet.
Reba McEntire was my first concert. Ballroom Cotillion Wichita ks. Think I was 14. She opened for Bellamy bros. 82 ? 81 ? It was her first show too. My baby brother got to meet her at the stage front. He still loves her. Good stuff man. Digging the vids.
If you notice they was winning the award for the movie together at the beginning of the video with the Great Rob Reiner producing the movie at the end
How can you not like country! You both sound very country! 😂❤
At the time of this song Linda Davis was one of Reba’s back up singers
Fun Fact: Stay by Sugarland was inspired by Reba’s Whoever’s in New England. Jennifer Nettles wondered what the mistress’ side sounded like which birthday Stay.
I was a country radio personality when this came out! It was epic!!! Linda has such an amazing voice. If someone already hasn't mentioned it, Linda Davis is Hillary Scott from Lady A's Mother.
Hearing that live is amazing! I had the honor of hearing them at Market Square when she toured with Brooks and Dunn.
Linda' s daughter is in the group Lady Antebellum and she is awesome as well
Whoevers in New England through with you.. REBA... SHOWS HER VOCALS
FANCY
THE NIGHT THE LIGHTS WENT OUT IN GEORGIA
two amazing voices, together they blend flawlessly. Country music hits directly at topics that others tip toe around. A good revenge wife/mistress song is Two Cadillics by Carrie Underwood, with a Stephen King ending.
This one cracked me up guys! I’ve loved this song forever, the vocals and arrangement (they flipped it in the first verse, it’s like a duet) are epic. When you kept stopping, confused, angry, wondering what the fuck, I couldn’t wait to see your reaction to the explosion. You did not disappoint! I laughed out loud! Your reactions are the best.
Brandi Carlile is my favorite band and I love watching reactions to them. You guys doing The Eye is how I found you. And I was cracking up over ‘wait, are they twins?’ The only way I can tell them apart is on stage because Phil is on the left on guitar, Tim on the right on bass. Btw, The Eye made my marriage stronger. It’s one of three love songs I have for my husband. Anyway, I’m pretty tempted to go find a great bottle of bourbon and see if I can get you to do The Joke, or The Story, or Sugartooth, or Folton County Jane, ok, BC has so many amazing songs. That’s a lot of bourbon 😉
Oh, btw, I know you love Reba, and are impressed with Kelly Clarkson, they did this song together and, of course, it’s great. Watch it on your own just for fun!😁
I’m going to recommend for Reba, And Still. I really like that one.
Oh I didn't think y'all were paying attention at the end there and I thought you were going to miss it... Glad you didn't, your reaction was epic! 🤣
One of my favorite Reba songs is You Lie
Y'all had the perfect reactions to this song and video!
OMG!!!! Y’all’s reaction to the ending was priceless!!!!
This is my all time favorite female duet. I sing Reba’s part.
Linda Davis is the mother of the girl in Lady Antebellum!!!
LadyGator1983🐊🐊🐊
This song I believe blew up a pathway for some of the more controversial female country songs to emerge even to date....literally
Reba never disappoints
Our only complaint is the overly cinematic videos for some of her songs. Her talent? Amazing. - Keith
Reba recently redid this song with Dolly Parton. You can hear the different parts more clearly.
Awesome reaction! Reba has a similarly themed duet with Jennifer Nettles called Enough, Sadly, there is no live performance, or video, only audio,
To your question is there another song with these 2 that has a better message??? The answer is yes!!! Its called Face to Face by Reba and Linda....you kinda hit on the topic of wishing they would give the guy the boot...this song touches on that. You can say its the part 2 of Does He Love You by these 2. It was never released as a single so you will not find a video, but the song is definitely on youtube. Check out Face to Face by Reba and Linda, and see whatcha think!!!! Great reaction. Long live Reba the Queen!!!
2 Black Cadillacs by Carrie Underwood is similar but with a message y’all would appreciate
Yes! Add my vote for 2 Black Cadillacs!
Stay tuned. ;) - Keith
Yes! Me too!
Add my vote!
The 2 voices are so much alike. It's hard to tell which one is which.
Reba and Linda also dueted on the song Face To Face and the song If I Could Live Your Life. They are also joined by Martina McBride and Trisha Yearwood on the song On My Own. I think you will enjoy all three songs. All three have amazing vocals.
Martina mcbride and Kelly Clarkson did this song together on stage live.. both of them did this song amazingly as well.. yaw should react to that too..
Female powerhouse voices in country music - wow - there are so many but here are a few that I love that you haven't done yet:
K.T. Oslin - 80's Ladies - all her songs are amazing
Juice Newton - Angel of the Morning
Martina McBride - Independence Day
Trisha Yearwood - How Do I Live
Tammy Wynette - Stand by Your Man
Helen Reddy - I am Woman
Rosanne Cash - daughter of Johnny Cash - Seven Year Ache
Patty Loveless - You Don't Even Know Who I Am
Shelly West and David Frizzell - You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma
Terri Clark - If I Were You
Lorrie Morgan - Good as I Was to You
Lorrie Morgan is definitely another one they should do. I love her song Five Minutes
I think this is the only song they do together. But I love this song, for personal reasons. My friend put her wedding ring on her husband's sleeping thing while he was asleep. So when he woke up, he had to go to ER to get the ring cut off....lol.
ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuch! (But he arguably deserved it) - Keith
Your guys reaction at the end of the song was awsome.
Great reaction especially to the end of the video. I loved it. A song by Linda Davis is "Some things are meant to be", or "I'm yours" to name a couple.
Vince Gill said that Reba's videos are all Gone with the Wind in 4 minutes. Linda was Reba's backup singer and they pulled her in as a stand-in and they sounded so good together they didn't look for another singer. Linda Davis is also the mother of the chick in Lady A. You should try some of their videos.
Reba has that type of voice that is not easy to sing a duet with. I've got news for these ladies, he doesn't love either of them.
Yes, it is a messed up song, but it's one of the greatest country songs of all time. Reba is, of course, a legend, and her vocals...OMG. I wish I had that. I cover a lot of her music, but I'll never sound like she does. No one will. She's phenomenal. I about died laughing seeing your reactions, though when the boat blew up. You were definitely not expecting that. LOL. I like Reba because she does sing some things that can be a little bit pitiful, but DAMN she has some GIRL POWER songs. Those are the ones I cover. They have range, and the stories they tell are just amazing.
Hey y'all! I've been recovering from a serious fall and y'all have been so entertaining while I'm recovering! I saw this reaction the other day and wanted to suggest y'all find the RUclips video of Reba and Carrie Underwood singing this live at the Grand ol Opry. Think yall will love it! I'm not able to drive right now due to my injuries so I can't send you a bribe, but I'm hoping you'll check it out! BTW ..thank you for your service Keith, from a proud Gold Star mama!
Linda davis was a backup singer for reba thats why they sound so well together and. Linda davis has a daughter in the band. Lady a. Hillary scott.
Linda Davis was a backup singer for Rebas road band. Plus Hillary Scott of Lady A is her daughter.
I know you know that Martina McBride is a powerhouse singer. You need to hear "Where Would You Be" live. Un-freaking-believable!
i was introduced to Linda Davis with a video to a song called "Company time" about a lady working a lousy job with a chauvanistic boss that tries to take advantage of her then she gets revenge on him
Linda was Reba’s back-up singer at the time. Y’all made me so nervous! I kept saying “don’t look away”! I was hoping y’all would go back and re-watch.
You guys should check this song with Reba and Dolly Parton. Another duet song is Reba and Brooks and Dunn singing if you see her, if you see him
If you see him, if you see her is great. Here's the video link: ruclips.net/video/j5nvaOD_Lr4/видео.html
Two power houses love the video
If you want to really want to be messed up by the song Reba just done this song with Dolly Parton. It's amazing with them.
Yall need to listen to this with Reba and Kelly Clarkson....INCREDIBLE as well!!!!
Will not lie, cheat, or steal, nor tolerate those that do!!! Definition of honor and integrity. Lived it my entire life.
I've sworn that exact oath. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts yes we both did brother
You guys would like Lori Morgan - Good As I Was To You. She has a good voice too.
Reba is always best live.
Linda Davis was popular in the 80s. Side note her daughter is in Lady A (Antabellum).
you should check out Reba's song "the greatest man I never knew
🤣🤣 Yalls reaction!! Lol!🤣
I enjoyed your reaction gentleman. The delivery of the song is magnificent no question. The subject matter is classic country. I think probably one of my favorite songs is actually cowgirls Don't cry by Brooks & Dunn featuring Reba McEntire.
Cowgirls Don't Cry is an excellent song!
I vote for that one. Cowgirls dont cry is so good.
I have always loved this song!!
Something you both might enjoy is Pancho & Lefty by Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard! Such a unique song with a very interesting story.
I was so excited to get the notice you had reacted to this. I knew that you would be amazed by Linda Davis. A fun fact, her daughter is Hillary Scott, of Lady A (previously known as Lady Antebellum) but I don't think you have reacted to them yet. As for Linda herself, I don't think her career ever reached the level it should have, considering her talent.
When you said hopefully it ends with both of them saying 'fuck this guy' I laughed because for a second it seems like the wife gave him the ultimate 'fuck off' but the ending is one of the best twist ever in a music video. This is why I miss old school music videos so much. Especially country music old school videos where it really does feel like you are watching a mini movie. And Reba has had some amazing videos.
I think you will like the recent Reba and Dolly version as well. It's really cool because the same song has a different delivery, but it is still incredible.
And since I mentioned Lady A, I have to suggest their song "Need You Now"
Rebe - "She Thinks His Name Was John" and "What Do You Say" and "And Still".
There is no official video for "She Thinks His Name Was John". The two version I have seen were her singing it live. "What Do You Say" and "And Still" do have official videos.
I have to say this is one of the best reactions to this song/music video I have seen. Really enjoyed it. Keep up the great work.
I agree with “she thinks his name was John” what’s not openly said, the message is AIDS awareness. Incredible!
Lady A was actually another artist's name when Lady Antebellum fell victim to the asinine cancel culture crowd, they took on the name. The other artist tried to tell them, then tried to sue and Lady Antebellum SQUASHED her! I quit listening to their stuff after that.
From Reba, two that are more upbeat: "Take it Back" and "Why Haven't I Heard From You?" Another powerhouse duet is Reba with Vince Gill, "The Heart Won't Lie".
Love the look on Rebas face right before the boat blew up.
I love this review! Cheaters are awful.
You need to see the live version 1993 CMA awards
Linda was actually her back up singer and the mother of the girl in Lady Antebellum
Another video where I just love y'all's reactions.
I have been requesting this for months but the one I requested was Reba and Kelly Clarkson. It's my favorite version because of the interaction between the two.
Hard to sell the story singing with your mother in law.
We tallied the votes, and this version won out. - Keith
@@BourbonCountryReacts I understand that but since you both are fans of both Reba and Kelly, I thought y'all would enjoy that version, and IMHO, that IS the best version.
@@afordhere75126 the vocal mastery between the two is epic though
The end is unbelievable!! Hahahahahahahahaha…………
There is a "sequel" to this song called "Face To Face" where the two ladies meet each other and decide he's not worth it and they're both walking away from him. You should check it out.
That was definitely Honest Reactions
That's all you'll EVER get from us. - Keith
Ladies and gentlemen.....welcome to Dallas
Linda Davis was Reba's back up singer
Linda's daughter is Hillary Scott of Lady A. Do brooks n dunn and Reba. If u see him if u see her. Also do Tim McGraw And Taylor Swift highway don't care and Tim's Humble and kind
Reba also did a version of this song with Dolly Parton, you ought to check it out. Linda Davis didn't make it very big on her own but she does have some music out there. Yes she is an awesome singer as well. 👏🤯
