One of the best song of Kelly’s is Piece by Piece , which is a true story . She sang it live for one of the first times on American Idol and barely made it through the song without bawling her eyes out

Yes, Kelly's Piece By Piece from American Idol's "finale." She wrote the song for her little girl and was really pregnant with her boy when she sang and was super emotional.

'Because of You' is actually one of Kelly's songs. As someone else already pointed out, Kelly was married to Reba's (step) son. The two women became close and made this song into a duet. Reba brings wonderful nuances to the song, but in my personal opinion, I prefer Kelly's version more.
If I recall, didn't Kelly write this song when she was extremely young? I know at the least this song is extremely personal to her.

My favorite collaboration between the two. Kelly actually wrote this song when she was 15 or 16. And Reba was also her mother in-law for awhile also.
First off, I am not a hater! I love Reba so much. She is a true artist! However, this is Kelly’s song. She wrote this song in her teenaged years. Kelly is an awesome songwriter. I feel like Reba had the lead on most of the song and Kelly took the backside. During this particular performance, Kelly was Reba‘s daughter-in-law. Having said all of that, I loved the performance. Y’all really should check out Kelly‘s song that she sang on the live version of the finale of American Idol. Kelly was the first winner of the American Idol. During this episode, Kelly was about eight months pregnant. The song is called “Piece by Piece.” This is a live version that y’all will definitely want to watch. As usual, y’all’s reaction was spot on!

Country is about the storytelling and that’s what Kelly does. Y’all chose to react to that song probably because Reba was attached to it. In my opinion, out of respect for Kelly, I think y’all should do a reaction with Kelly on the live version of American idol finale.
I actually watched that live back in the day. I don't remember any of it, but, I did watch it. The only thing I remember is that the performance was amazing. I can't remember a single note, but I remember that. - Keith

Reba is on Dolly Parton’s level. You’ll probably get requests for “Fancy” and “The Nights Went Out in Georgia” which are popular reaction songs but if you want Reba at her best check out “For My Broken Heart”.

Kelly is Reba's daughter-in-law. Well her ex daughter in law. They are great friends too. Reba is a great performer. You should listen Kelly's live performance to PIECE BY PIECE on American Idol. This was years after her winning the competition.
In 2008, I attended a stop on Reba & Kelly's 2 Worlds 2 Voices tour in which they performed duets throughout the show on each other's songs. Without qualification, it was the best concert I've ever been to.

Why would you be ashamed? This was a big song for Kelly. Those two singing this together that night was just a massive treat. Reba loved this song the first time she heard. With them being good friends they performed it together at the awards. I really love this with them singing it together, but Kelly just really brought it to life. Which was expected since she wrote it and it was personal for her. Kelly’s actually dialing it back for this performance.

Kelly was Rebas daughter in law for 7 years. Kelly wrote this song and it was a huge hit for her. She hails from Burleson, TX which is just outside of Ft. Worth, TX. Her voice can raise the roof and shake the windows for sure.

Cody Johnson does a gorgeous acoustic cover of When Whoever’s In New England. Just him and his guitar. Of course, Reba duets with him on Dear Rodeo. Reba seems to have really taken him under her wing🥰 Both are worth the watch and/or listen.

Went to a fan club party in Nashville for Reba and she showed up and signed autographs and took pictures with everyone there..... this was at an arena.... she was there till 4am.... started in late afternoon...

Not nervous singing with her mother in law. Nervous singing that particular song. Kelly writes from her own experiences in life. Every one of her songs about her childhood makes her nervous. I love that Reba has never lost her Okie accent. Born and raised in Oklahoma myself. So many great artists have come from Oklahoma 🤓❤️🇺🇸
This was actually Kelly’s song and her and Reba did an episode of Crossroads and decided to cut this as a single. I saw on this live performance, she let Reba take about 75% of the song which is nice. I thought she would take the power vocals but she let Reba do them, which is awesome of her. I was surprised Reba did a good job on those notes. Anything Kelly does live will be really good. She does a ton of covers now that she has her own show and opens it with a cover. The cover series is called Kellyoke! I hope you guys check it out!
You lie is one of Reba’s best songs vocally but anything but her is amazing. And any live Carrie Underwood performance will floor you!

Give Kelly's duet with Jake Hoot a listen. He was on her team on The Voice (and won) a few years ago. This duet shows her power and range. I feel like her voice has matured into a smoky sound as she's gotten older. It's always been gorgeous, but she was really young there and I feel she offers even more now.

Kelly has been shit on many times in life but still strives to make her dreams come true, which is admirable.
Kelly doesn’t get nervous when she sings.. plus she was letting Reba take lead on this since this was during Reba’s duet album. This was also 2008 era, Kelly’s voice was tired, you can hear it by the rasp - her songs are extremely hard to sing, vocally. Kellys voice has only gotten better since then though. If you compare this climax to Kelly’s you will truly see the vocal differences. Reba is a great vocalist as well and her presence is… well, legendary. She’s a country legend. Anyways, great reactions!

Kelly wrote this song about her mother, because after her father abandoned them she ended up in an abusive relationship, and she, basically became the child, and Kelly became the adult in the family. Piece by piece is about her father abandoning her. I admire her for pulling herself together, despite the lack of support and parenting she had , even in her early childhood. She’s amazingly strong, and talented? Get out of here, there’s absolutely no question about that!
Reba's duet with Brooks and Dunn "If You See Her/Him" is one of my favorites. I saw them together in concert and was amazed. If you want some Brooks and Dunn, try "I Believe" and "Red Dirt Road."

Oh I cry every time I hear that song
I’ve tried to get some of the reactors to react to this live version as well and have been unable to do so. My story is much like Kelly’s. I didn’t follow Kelly like a lot of people. I started following her when she was on the voice. I checked her out and realized that she also wrote music and also wrote a lot of her music. I had not heard the song “Piece By Piece” Until I was browsing RUclips I came across the live version. I’ve checked out her studio version and while it is very good, I prefer the live version. It doesn’t matter how many times I watch it, I always end up in tears.

This is Kelly's song. Reba and Kelly decided to sing it as a duet. If you've ever heard Kelly Clarkson on her own , you'd wondered why she held back so much cause she's got some amazing pipes. I didn't see it as Kelly being nervous about Reba but letting her lead.

Reba is my absolute fave! I was especially a meeega fan when I was a teen! It's so hard to choose which songs to recommend most. But some faves for her vocals are "you lie" and "take it back. They show different aspects of her voice, with the first being a ballad and the second, more upbeat and jazzy. But you won't be disappointed in any Reba song! I am sure other commenters have discussed her relationship with kelly and some more info on this song etc. So I won't blather about that. BUT if you want to talk Reba, I am here! 😆

Kelly opens her talk show up everyday w a different song ! She tries different genres ..She can see anything .. she’s also a coach on the voice .. ans has stellar performances on it ..it’s really a pop song .. but Reba has still got it !! She’s like Dolly Parton status almost ..
Kelly is Reba's daughter-in-law so yeah not so many nerves there. They both have extremely strong extremely beautiful voices and they both know how to use some extra exceptionally well so again no surprise there. As far as Reba songs Brooks and Dunn featuring Reba McEntire cowgirls Don't cry Reba McEntire Fancy Reba McEntire The night the lights went out in Georgia Reba McEntire just reading her grocery list her voice is just exceptionally rare and exceptionally pure. Kelly may have been a little nervous but I think it was more so her wanted to do the song justice for the legend that is Reba. Amy Lee is my girl crush, she’s amazing! Kelly and her are definitely in the same range, their delivery is awesome. If you didn’t know, Kelly was the winner of the first American idol. She came back a couple years ago to do a performance and it made the judges cry! You should watch it, it’s Piece by Piece that she did live on American idol🖤

Y’all should watch Kelly Clarkson’s version of ‘Fancy’ (one of Reba’s biggest hits) at The Kennedy Center honors Reba Macintyre, also Kelly’s cover of Garth Brooks ‘The Dance’ at this year’s Kennedy Center Honors Garth Brooks - both are incredible and really show off Kelly’s talent.

Reba has always been a "genuine" person and for her fame always had a very "normal" affect. These 2 ladies have pipes beyond and they can "sang"!! I've never heard Reba have a "bad performance". Kelly was still pretty young here, as good as she was in this performance, she's gotten a 100 times better over the years. BTW Reba was Kelly's Mother in Law for many years, up until last year. Kelly has some songs out that are very close to Amy Lee's style, she's much more pop/rock in her career than she tends to be Country. Reba has always been pretty diehard Country. You can't go wrong with either of them.

I've seen Reba in concert more than any other performer. She's amazing live. I haven't seen Kelly live, but it's on my bucket list.

Hi! I don't get to see many country reactors. This is great. Because of You is one of Kelly's songs but mabye Reba wrote it. I have no idea. I would recommend Collin Raye (Maybe "One Boy, One Girl" or "If You Get There Before I Do" but he has a whole ouvre that's great. For Reba I'd love if you went WAY BACK in her career and listened to Little Rock. And look up a song called "God Belss My Soldier Too" if you want more patriotic ones, though that one is by a minister I think. It isn't a Reba song.
