So it’s just another background check and an extortion fee? Are there any other legal differences? Like am I consenting to the atf being able to come into my home or anything by purchasing an nfa item?
My favorite part is how the ATF thinks a suppressor is so deadly and dangerous it needs to be an NFA item, unitl you pay them $200...... then its completely cool. If the barrier to ownership is money then its unconstitutional to restrict access, especially to something so ubiquitous.
I should just be able to walk in and buy one without a e form or tax stamp or an ID since it's not a firearm
Weirdly suppressors are classified as firearms, and restricted ones to boot.
duh

Who is local law enforcement for Franklin County residents? Video @ 1:50.
Is inventory on your website?
Yes. We have available suppressors listed on our website, and we have tons more on order.
It ridiculous that you pay before you get approved. What if they dont approve you? Youre just out hundreds of dollars?
They refund most of your money but if you can buy the deadly part you should be good
@kevinhummel4282 I can't figure out where I can do this help me out. Where can I go online to fill this thing out?
I thought it was illegal to own suppressors in all states of America?
Nope, extra paperwork and rules but they are legal in most places. Same with short barreled longarms and machineguns.
Nope.42 states are legal.
@@Bman897 Suppressors are restricted by the National Furearms Act (NFA), you may own them but it's extra taxes and is registered.
