    I will be happy to inform you of the superior quietness of your wonderful product once the AFT releases it (Raptor 8 with all the extras). They said "90 days elect Form 4", I said "I can manage that patience". Well its now at 8 months and climbing. I think the same people that came up with the "90 days" were the same who said "2 weeks to slow the curve" . I have a prior stamp, and a current FFL. Those people know me better than my own familiy, and yet I wait until the mountains crumble into the sea..

    Update, I ended up ordering a raptor 10 in .375 for a 350L build, but my first can is a Banish 46. I haven't had a lot of chances to shoot it yet, but so far it has worked great on 350L, 9mm, 45-70 and 300WM. I look forward to my raptor coming in and seeing how they compare on the smaller bore guns.

    I use my Q Trash Panda on 5.56. I also have a SilencerCo Saker 5.56, which may be nominally "better" but is heavier (although smaller diameter). To me, the pure db reduction of a suppressor isn't critical, especially on 5.56 which is going to be supersonic regardless. Size/weight/balance is more important, which is why the Saker does well on my lighter 12.5" pistol and the Trash Panda better on my 16" rifle.
    I also use a SilencerCo Octane 9 on my 8.5" 300 Blackout as a dedicated subsonic pistol. It sounds like an air gun, and the Octane weighs next to nothing.
    I really like AB suppressors, and I will likely pick up one or two. I like your light weight and flash-suppressing caps. Would love to see good data about back pressure in your suppressors.

    • @user-qu6dv6qu8d
      @user-qu6dv6qu8d 6 дней назад +1

      @@mikem9366 You don't "need" an adjustable gas block unless you are planning on firing a LOT of rounds. The brass will eject at 2 to 3 oclock so if you're on a range, you will not be able to retrieve it because it will bounce forward into the range. You can also just run an heavier buffer. I run an H3 on my 300 blackout pistol suppressed and it runs just like unsuppressed supersonic with the stock H2 buffer. If you're just plinking for fun you really have nothing to worry about. I did put an adjustable gas block on my 300 blk pistol, but it's buried by the handguard and I've never touched it. Never had to. It's so easy to simply swap the buffer...but I only shoot it recreationally. On a .223\5.56, it's still supersonic and depending on your barrel length you still get some flash but mine seems to be hearing safe. I still put in ear plugs just out of habit but I probably don't need to. It's a great suppressor, I highly recommend it and I'm buying a second one.

    Of all the brands I've seen I'd like the little bird for my .22 and still hoping (waiting b/c of money) that all suppressors come off the $200.oo tax stamp that imo is illegal, especially if it's for safety.

    SilencerCo hybrid .46 You can get .22, .30, and .46 caliber endcaps. Probably one of the most flexible suppressors on the market. Limiting yourself to .375 eliminates anything larger. no .40cal, .45cal. Will it be quieter than the Hybrid 46 on the .30 cal stuff? you would need sound meters to tell the difference so in the real world... Who cares. If you really want to split hairs then buy a suppressor specifically for the caliber you're shooting. If you want flexibility, then buy an actual flexible suppressor and don't bitch that it's not perfect for everything. I like my Hybrid 46 enough that I'm buying another simply because I have invested a small fortune in accessories. I also want a purpose built .22 rimfire suppressor that can be dismantled and properly serviced.
