    For the record, I LOVE the background music. My wife overheard it, and she got in the mood . . . 😊

    I 3D printed a tool that fits the front cap and rear booster for easier removal.

    I use the Obsidian 9 on my HK VP9. People are always shocked at how quiet it is with subsonics.

    What do I need in order to mount a obsidian 45 to a HK USP45 Tac and a HK USP9 Tac?

    My rugged obsidian is and awsome can i got a 9mm piston from rugged and i keep them both together so i don't mix them up same with the 45acp front cap and piston the baffles lock together so the inside of the aluminum can only needs a whip i have a sonic cleaner and i use purple power a quick brushing with a tooth brush loosens it and another 15 minutes in the cleaner they are ready to be whipped with and old rag i leave them to dry completely and spray some lube inside and out and put it back together a little tip after use while its still hot i use gloves but rages will do be careful break all threaded parts it makes it come apart easier if you want to whip or clean.

    Lol. I came to say something witty about the background music, but can see that has already been thoroughly accomplished. 😂 that aside, great video!

    I am sure that suppressor survived the fall. I dropped my Obsidian 45 a few days ago and tried to catch it with my foot...I ended up kicking it across my garage (concrete floor). Not a scratch. :)

    Is the Obsidian 45 ready to use out the box, or do I need to do anything such as lubing the piston before using?

    • @SilencerShop
      @SilencerShop  9 месяцев назад +3

      It should come oiled, but because these are stored for long periods (the length of your Form 4) it is advisable to clean and re-lubricate a new suppressor.

    Can the housing for the 45 accept baffles and end pieces of the 9? I saw a video that showed compatibility, but can't find it now.

    Can't decide between the obsidian 9 or odessa 9....

    • @SilencerShop
      @SilencerShop  7 месяцев назад

      Odessa gives you more modularity, and is lighter. Obsidian sounds a bit better to my ear, but both are awesome cans, cant really go wrong.

    • @jsharp9735
      @jsharp9735 7 месяцев назад

      @@SilencerShop I think the biggest selling point for me is it not interfering with standard sights, but I hear the obsidian 9 does sound a bit quieter. When you say sounds better is it in regards to a pitch or tone or simply db reduction ? Is the difference small enough that you can chalk it up to nuance and features ?

      For specifically the G19, the Obsidian or the MOD9 will sound better. The Odessa from Dead Air would also be great.
