Peterbilt 379 Truck Walk Around!!

- So a LOT of you have been requesting for me to do a walk around on the truck, so here it is! Includes both exterior and interior. I will do a better update video at some point and I won't be filming it on my phone! Haha.
One thing I missed mentioning in the video though is the rear fenders. They are original to the truck and have been through a LOT of abuse, they're barely hanging on. I'll be getting brand new double hoops once this whole Coronavirus thing is over and the chrome shops are back open!

Why are the roads so much smaller over there in Europe anyways?
@@connorhiggins6528 They were designed & build up, mostly on post WW1 old roads. Before "modern times" people here, were using horse powered carriages (the rich ones-elites), so not much space was needed. Only "recently" (since 60-70's) road traffic is doubling almost every year. To almost unbearable in present times. I drive around one of the most biggest european airports. Which expanded so violently, swallowed villages around with mostly old road infrastructure. Also space here congested, always was & is scarce, so therefore expensive.

Late to the show once again! Just checking out your tour. I'm all about performance anyway. I guess in trucking, flash is cash.? You're getting the bills paid! And work is plentiful for now. Yeah, she's a bit short. I've watched a few vids of otr guys and they're driving stretched tractors. Seems it would ne easier to back one up with more trailer clearance. I'm with you on seat height. I like to be able to see as much as possible from above! I'm a hack I loved to see your practice set up! I have Fender squire strat w/ rosewood fret board thru a Peavey vypyr. Soooo many choices! Love your rig! Thx again!

My mom's a bass player! Fender percission. She and my stepdad played locally fulltime for years. She retired but dad still going strong with new OLD rockabilly band.

Beautiful rig.
I pulled a spread axle flatbed.
Sounds like the blue beacon will be your friend.
I ran mine through twice a week when possible during salty weather.
Once the rest of the year.
I didn’t seem to have time to do it myself more than a couple times a year.
I often wonder how hard it would s to make money with the onboard computer logs.
I had the Qualcomm last n my last truck but it was a communication device more than anything.
They made it a requirement to get the electronic logs about 10 years after I retired.
I like the Aviator glasses..

Yeah there’s a bit more maintenance with the trains, takes a while to go through and check all the tire pressures! It’ll gross out at 63500kgs (140’000lbs)

On the ol 98 Pete I drive shes got a Twin Piston compressor ! Was originally on trains.

I love peterbilt truck, also in France we have few 379, 389 but the different road aren't adapt for these long truck

They should have some kind of inner liner on steer tires for blowouts, once it blows out it will still have something to ride on till you get stopped, steer tire blows scares me.
I'm just starting out. Been trucking 20 years but with the virus I can't haul logs Wright now. So I'm hauling grain and soy out 5 days home for 1 and a half its different then I thought

Thanks for the tour bud. At some point after this virus nonsense I will be buying a Peterbilt. It'll be pre-emission like yours. I'm a company driver now with a Volvo with a Cummins, deleted. Not a bad horse and I get paid pretty well...but I've wanted a Peterbilt since I was a kid.

Recheck the torques to snug up those gaskets after running awhile after a rebuild.! Does your truck have a name.?

I used to do 5 or 6 days at a time, now for the most part I’m home every night. When I was over the road I had a shower bag and a fridge. I definitely miss that fridge.

I was pretty dissapointed when i went to pete to spec out a new truck only to find peterbilt doesnt make our red interior anymore. Just boring grey or beige.
Man a lot of vehicles are like that nowadays! Like at least give me tan as an option but nooo grey or black... 🙄
Search a company called the Daycab Company, they do custom factory interiors in any color and pattern.
