Yeah. I used to do that all the time. I would rush into the factory and try the fight the armored ones with only a pistol and regular ammo. I've died so many times.
Never underestimate the power to remain calm, even as bullets are flying overhead. The second you start to get scared or stressed, you start to make mistakes.
Spoken like a true veteran. I think that is part of the reason I kept dying when I first started playing. I would just get overwhelmed with enemies and not know what to do.
Good tips, i would add that mimics have to reload and have a distinct firing pattern, its way easier to kill them while they are reloading than when they are firing at you. Also, night is scary, but if you cleared out most of the map, you can get way more done if between tides if you are out at night as well as day
Something that I'd like to add... Paranoia is a good thing here, if It's in moderation. You have a reason to be afraid, a reason to keep looking over your shoulder. Paranoia will allow you to see and hear things that you wouldn't have if you weren't paying attention, even noisy enemies could sneak up on you. The worst thing you could do is to get way too comfortable in your situation. You get too brave and take more risks, thinking you can probably tough it out. But then you die, and wonder why. Be cautious, know your situation and how to approach it. Organize your bag and keep things in a specific way, even have a spare box of shells or med injectors on your hip pouch so you can heal on the fly or load your shotgun when you run dry. And finally, take note of what things do and how they react. Shooting the chest of a basic walker entity deals magnified damage. The ghost variants have no orb to pull itself back together with. Mimic entities take extreme headshot damage with a sickening crunch to go along with it. The list goes on. Stay safe out there.
A hint for security lvl 4 and above: tired of paying for repairing your suppressor? Save up to 10k so you can afford an AS-Val/Vss and some ammo. Unlike other rifles, those two are internally suppressed. So if you clean them with your stick and paper, you can repair the suppressor for free.
for shotgun users, you can put shells in your side-pouch and wave your shotgun over them to fill the side-loops of the shotgun. its very useful for lots of enemies.
Here is the best tip I can possibly give: If you are being fired at by mimics it is easy to panic, the combination of sounds and danger makes it really easy for base instincts to take over, but you need to stay calm. Mimics (especially later on) are smart and WILL push their advantage and catch you off guard, so stay calm and wait for them to push, that is your time to take them out
Another tip I figured out is that you can hang stuff off the side of your backpack for easier organization. My backpack looks like a damn peacock. That way you're having center open for when you're trying to grab things on the run real fast.
You should also talk about the hundreds of benefits the training area grants you, there's a door to the far right of the main gate (assuming your facing the radius) where you can try out guns and their attachments for free. You can also try out their upgrades like increased tube capacity for the pump shotgun, or giving different guns additonal attachments points for mods. Being able to try them out through shooting mini-games and practice your CQC in the killhouse, and of course practicing your throwing arm with grenades (I find underarm works best for me) All this for completely free so you can make an informed deicison on what to spend you hard earned money on for when the rubber hits the road.
Saving lives right here! 😎 I've had this in my u Steam library for a while now and had never gotten around to firing it up until I saw this video. Just finished my first session with it and I'm super impressed! Fascinating world I can't wait to explore further!
my tips? take it easy, do all missions till you find it boring or repitative, every new securety has nieuw ones, never sell your old guns, they comne in handy for easy missions or when low on ammo, money aint that big of a problem the whole game, iff you dont rush it. flares are friends, take 2 or 3 with them on every mission, when you are easly scared, always walk with pistol in hand (or main gun) except for the bison, there are no bad weapons, finsd the ones you like. i love the ak series becous of the easy mag change in a stress situation (dont need to press b etc) lazer in OP use it repair your mags! by doing it your self or pay for it, BUT REPAIR IT. in a long mission, take off your silincer when it is not usefull, it beaks fast. always have more ammo then you think you need.... you think 4 mags are ok? take 6
Oh and one last tip I'll throw into the mix... Use those green shells at your home base for overstock in case you die, you can just grab a weapon and a flashlight and some bare essentials to get back to your body.
Nice guide, I've been playing this quite a bit lately and can't disagree with a single thing you brought up. I might suggest that you "try before you buy" in the training area - you kind of touched on that a little, but it I think it's important enough for some emphasis. Getting to know what a weapon AND the assorted attachments play like before you drop a ton of cash on them is great!
Bro you need more subs, you deserve them. I recently bought the game a couple days ago and it's been really fun. This guide has some really good tips in it that have helped me get through some tough missions. Also, you just earned yourself a sub
Thank you so much for the kind words. They are much appreciated. I’m glad the video helped you. Good luck with the rest of the game and keep being an awesome person.
One tip that many people dont think about is only bringing what you need. When your just going to pervomay or sometimes bolotky, your not gonna need your rifle and pistol and armor and tons of food and stuff. The more things you carry, the slower you sre and the less stuff you can take back
Worth adding that nobody pays attention to the posters. Big mistake because one of the posters show you an ideal loadout, and where everything *should* be for an almost impossible death. There's about 4 I think, one in the shop, your train car, next to the Radius entrance, and just outside of it. Pretty handy, I'd check it out.
I’m going to add my own tip. I messed up the saving settings and now have to go retrieve my stuff from my dead body when I die, and I only respawn with what was on my body at the time, but not my backpack. If you have the same settings, consider putting together a retrieval kit, including food, ammunition, magazines, and health injectors.
one of my best tips is dont waste too much money on new weaponry as a decent amount can be found scattered in the map, and you should probably save your cash for ammo, medpens and higher level weapons
I agree 100%. That’s also a good way to make money. Cleaning up the guns you find in the radius that you don’t intend on using and selling them. I’ve made tons of money from just selling guns I’ve found.
i store all medical supplies when in the radius in my left side small pouch, i do the same for extra ammo boxes that i might need. overall good tips though. any for anyone seeing this, another tip, learn your way around the radius, learn safe paths to take, and explorer the maps to learn vantage points. my final tip, BRING AN EXTRA GUN, i can stress this enough, i alway carry an extra makarov with 3 mags and it single handadly saved my life on mutiple ocasions now.
Also later in the game after every time you go out make sure you repair everything that you have because just doing one mission in the later zones and really destroys your stuff. You can repair guns and mags by your self but things like suppresses armor and Gas masks you will have to use the shop to repair. You can only self repair from the yellow/50% weathered so bring cleaning supplies on long mission and more amo it saves you. Cigarettes hold off hunger, cost less and are lighter than food always bring on can of food just in case as well
I completely agree with everything you said. Especially cleaning your gear. When you’re playing in a harder difficulty you gear breaks down so fast. Thanks for the comment.
I love but hate this game because the headlamp only lights up so much and when I forget it it’s PITCH BLACK so it’s much more scarrier including the indestructible BTR
@@wartimestudios2898 That's why I love this game. Even with mid tier graphics it's still such an immersive game. When stuff like that happens you feel real fear. At least I do.
Steve Harvey?! If you’re not at level 2 and you’re dealing with armored mimics you’re probably advancing too fast. I did the same thing. Get a gun with a bigger caliber or get armor piercing rounds or +p. Once you get better guns/ammo and armor I promise it gets easier. Best of luck to you my friend.

Tip: The Regen artifact is FAR more cost effective than syringes. Its 350 per med syringe and 400 for selling a regen, and a regen is like 5 syringes
