@@yosi2142Silk Road was a player made route from Second Man in The Finger to Plank House to Blissfin Beach in Reaver's Pass and finally into Breakwater. Silk Road consists of three parts bridge (navy pier) -> gravel road -> brdige (navy pier). What notable about blissfin is that due to the contested border mechanic (red border) is that any base (bb, encampment) built near the border will get world spawn. This is not as noticeable on the land hexes because of border base but naval hexes do not have those, so the bb act as border base which mean Warden from home region can deploy in to Reaver's pass without large ships or walk from the Finger giving Warden much needed staying power (you can see the bb on the map at 10:30) and even after the capture of Breakwater Silk Road continued to be used to bring logi to the front.
It was kind of shocking to see what happened after the Fingers, given even losing that hex the Collies were still comfortably ahead on victory points, resource income, and production capacity. The video was spot on - ignore the naval gameplay at your peril, no base can survive two destroyers let alone two battleships with an escort fleet.
As a Colonial this war, the collective Warden navy truly did turn the tide. Anyone that wanted to push into The Fingers was basically ignored as the larger Colonial offensive overextended into territory that was well-defended and hard to supply. Eventually, the backline cut from The Fingers was a turning point. Hard fought victory from the Wardens and a true fumble from the Colonials, having 26 VPs and in the span of a couple weeks lost the plot.
The pressure you guys put on the fingers really did take the strain off the other fronts. After the nuke fell on Ogmaran and we got pushed back from the moors, I really though I’d log back in to see the collies breakthrough, but we held at the river and managed to push back. Fighting for the moors has been a hellacious experience. Couldn’t have had victory without the blood you guys shed in the fingers. And to the few clan elements that came to support the moors with tanks and artillery, thank you. The indomitable Warden spirit is quite something to behold, even if we are down to just loughcasters, bayonets and gas masks. Callahan bless! o7

Collie navy ships that did try to enter fingers, were doomed from the start. We had over 6 subs at all times, rotating back and forth. My regiment in our sub pulled security on the borders for over 5 hours each day of the invasion. Every enemy sub and DD was swiftly eliminated just after crossing. They never had a chance against the wolf pack and lone wolfs, then the frigate and gunboat qrf that followed along with battleships
