- Into The Radius continues to be one of my personal favorite VR games simply because of the post apocalyptic aesthetic that it pulls off in VR. The new Into the Radius update from a few weeks ago, with the guitar they added, builds this vibe even more. Other games like DayZ, Fallout, and Tarkov are the only ones that come close but they are non VR games. For VR apocalypse gameplay (and gun mechanics) Into the Radius is the best. And yet I somehow still found a way to make the best VR apocalypse game even better... with a little help from the red army.

Pavlov. Onward. Requisition is coming out soon. Boneworks has a mod. Blade and sorcery has a mod. After the fall. VTOL VR. Contractors. Medal of honor. The Forest technically... There's loads of complex multiplayer VR games. It's definitely doable.
I swear at some point this game is going to open up a portal and habie will just disappear into it forever.

It's incredible how much a little thematically-appropriate music can enhance the atmosphere and immersion of a game
one of the best parts of the whole fallout series. looting is one thing, looting with the classical station on is a whole new ballgame

they should implement something like this into the game. perhaps you find and old cassette player and you find these various different old soviet songs to play while you're doing a mission. you could take an earpiece on and off like you would a gas mask or headlamp. i think that'd be pretty immersive, even if it is functionally the same as playing a RUclips/Spotify playlist on your pc

If you liked "Dark is the Night" you might also like "take your trench coat", it has a similar feel. There's also a large number of songs from the soviet afghan war with similar feels but a bit more energy like "Don't tell mom I'm in Chechnya" and "Swallowing Dust" that are worth checking out, even if their a little different.

6:31 you got me into Into The Radius and I gotta say I do this all the time. I hate how easy it is to swap a gun from your right hand to your left but it’s near impossible to swap back to the right without just dropping it

You do understand that a lot of people watch you not because of the VR content but because your videos leave us happier.
What makes you different from most other youtube channels is that the happiness from watching is not a temporary dopamin hit that essentially ends with the video.
Your videos leave a warm glow in our hearts even long after we closed youtube.
There's a VR game called "Virtuoso" that's entirely VR musical instruments. It works surprisingly well. Definitely recommend!
There’s also the drumming vr game. Don’t remember the name though.

On the PCVR side there's also SYNTHSPACE which is like a modular synth simulator.
There is also Aerodrums. It's a standalone bit of kit but has VR integration. It's a phenomenal bit of "kit". Finally truly silent digital drumming for all the drummers out there.

This is the most underrated game in all of VR. The devs put so much love and life into this game.

Habie, I've loved your videos since I discovered them almost a year ago. As your channel gets bigger please don't stop this format where you just make videos you want to make for fun. Please don't start bending to trends, optimizing viewership through obnoxious tactics, or any of that usual RUclipsr crap. I loved your channel because you're just a chill guy having fun. Some of my old favorite RUclipsrs I can't even watch some of them any more because all they care about is more viewers and attention and it just feels lifeless now.
It's also part of the current Humble VR bundle! $20 gets you Into the Radius, VTOL, Budget Cuts 2, and a few others. Worth for Into the Radius alone imo.

"That's not happening again" 😅 I remember when you lost the pellets... and when it happened to me my first time playing. I'm really happy to see people enjoying into the radius. I cant wait to see the game grow.
Every time I want to play this game, I always hold off as there is always a massive update coming just around the corner. Can't wait for the game to be completely finished.
U can Pick it up and play "the first part" of the game what would be Patch 1.4(or something like that) select it in the beta tap and u have a good 20hr playtime if u want to wait on Updates. I would described this as playing season one since it is Finished in itself. Basically u get 2 games in one. The finished "part one" and the up to date game.

I've played up til the lvl 3 security clearance mission and im currently on the one where I gotta blow open the door, is that past where you're referring to as season one? I genuinely don't know how much more content I have to wade through, and I'm getting a bit frustrated with enemies having armor and AP not seeming to do much against them.
@@hexvr4998 i did never finished the "season one part" so i cant really tell how far it goes but i remember something about a trainstation full of soldiers and a castle. If u really wann know Look the Wiki or ask on the officiall into the radius DC if u dont want to miss out on things but in the end u can come back to "season one" everytime u want since its a extra safefile. Just swap between them if u want ^^

@@hungryorphan5975 I'm almost positive I'm not? Maybe it's the gun i'm using, but they just seem to ricochet off of them, sparks literally fly off of the enemies so i'm not missing lol

This is the best idea habie has ever had. Combining WW2 music with Into the Radius sounds like the scariest fucking thing ever, habie is a fucking genius.
I know exactly what you mean about the music. I made a VTOL VR playlist, which naturally kicks off with Danger Zone but also has the BF3 theme in there as well. I managed to time it just right so that as I was launched from the carrier, the drop occured and I legit shed a tear. Felt just like the campaign mission but in VR. And no rain, sadly.

There have been a lot of instruments in VR! Particularly synthesizers are well represented with stuff like synthvr and synthspace. Not as contextual tho
His little segment with the smooth brains is actually a big brain move. He says don’t send him money but the ones that do get featured in the vid so it’s some big brain reverse psychology.

Trouble with Into the Radius is that I always end up just finding somewhere to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Now that there's a guitar, I might just fade into the vibes and never return.
This game gave me fallout, bioshock, and metro vibes. The mystery, the supernatural aspect, and the weapons definitely gave off that 40’s to 90’s vibe. I so wish you had a radio in game to play with classic songs that make you feel calm and on edge for what’s next.
I'm glad Into The Radius is coming standalone to quest 2, from what I've seen its a high quality port

@@SSruh yeah it is, no firm date in September, but, as a beta tester when they had them a bit back, they could probably release it right now and not have too many severe problems, so September looks pretty set in stone to me

I know it’s probably been said, but Stalker Anomaly masters these vibes. You have access to two (2) different radio stations that are all full of music just like this. (It’s also the game series that Into the Radius is based on)
My problem is it’s anomaly is that it kind of messes with the core of stalker. Stalker is at its core an rpg and anomaly kinda dilutes that with item bloat and mechanics from the pretty terrible Misery Mod for the original call of pripyat
The thing about the guitar is that with VRChat's physbones you COULD probably pull it off. Talked to someone who knew more about avatar making in that game and they said it was most likely possible to do, if not a little janky.

4:36 I’ve seen similar fear reactions in real-life cops who get shot at or charged with a knife. The sheer range of things games can make you feel, especially in VR, is incredible.
My favorite vr game right now is paradiddle, a full drum simulator. Being able to play drums without the money, space, and noise of a full drum kit is amazing

This is my dream game. But I still haven't bought it because the generic enemies kill the whole vibe for me. Put some actual people in there and get a genuine stalker type game going and it is an insta-buy.

I played a demo of a game called paradiddle, basically it was virtual drum kit. Where you could physically hit the drums basically becoming VR midi drum kit.
You know what sounds like a great idea a backrooms mod for this game cuz all the creatures are terrifying and cuz the game is amazing
I'm still waiting for the day when I can play with other people a virtual band onstage in VRChat, tracked instruments and all.
When I got the game, I immediately was reminded of guardians of the galaxy. The first scene where star lord finds the orb, and he’s all alone singing and kickin rats. I wanted to do that. I have a 70’s and 80’s playlist that I put on specifically for into the radius. It immerses me into feeling like a bored, chill scavenger that try’s to make the most out his crappy job and rusted scrap metal house.

before i bought into the radius, i actually used this knowledge to play music while playing green hell.
First time I saw a working VR guitar was in 2015-2016 in the back rooms of “new retro arcade” :)
There is virtual piano on quest with finger tracking. You can also connect a real e-piano and bring it into vr. Perfect for learning! It works surprisingly well

Bro they had to have a guitar for an apocalypse game the devs just knew
just a quick reminder, fmj is normal all around ammo, hp or h+ is crap against armor enemy (those with red/orange glow) but very good against "fleshy" one and AP is for armor piercing and since they are suposed to pierce armor they tend to over penetrate fles and dont do much damage overrall on unarmored enemy. also dont forget to breath a little more it will help you stay clam and over all, try to look more around you when you have a 2 sec in combat to make sure there is no one coming from behind or the side
inb4 blade and sorcery adds an actual fully functioning guitar that can also be broken over someone's head
Hey habie, I just wanna say after watching this vid and your previous videos on it I got the game and am absolutely hooked on it, thanks a lot for the amazing content and bringing awareness to these VR gems I feel like would otherwise be left in the dark most of the time otherwise
I think it would be cool to see multiplayer where there’s 4 players and you have to team up and find a hide out of like a cure

There are definitely a few other playable vr instruments. Paradiddle is a very high fidelity vr drumset, or Drums Rock is a more arcadey drumset. And PianoVision is vr piano with full finger tracking for the quest 2.

Vrchat props have reached a point where there is a fully functional piano you can plan. Also I heard there are other instruments, but the piano blew my mind.

synthvr, electronauts, virtuoso, etc etc
Some songs for Into the Radius: “Am Verfluchten Ilmensee”, the “Fargo” movie main theme, any of the music the /x/ RUclipsrs use, “I don’t want to set the world on fire”, literally any Russian or German folk song(a good example being Germany’s “the devil marches in the enemies’ land”), the Russian song “Katyusha”, etc.

There are tons of instrument VR programs. Everything from drums, guitar, piano, and plenty others. Even programs with full bands and online capability to make music together.
Oh my god youre completely right, imagine a VR guitar hero where it puts you on the stage and you could edit pyrotechnics and little things like that, beat saber with an audience cheering you on.
