@timtberfallingcouple The only decent 9mm I ever saw, was an old 9mm Luger my old man brought back from WW II. My favorite handgun my old man carried in WW II. It is a 1911 .45 ACP. But it is very rare. It is not a Colt. It was made by Remington Rand under a war contract. It is stamped 'U.S. Government'.
The very first military German 9mm rounds have truncated cones for improved feeding but that was dropped for fears of being accused for using expanding bullets.
This is what I have done to get H.P bullets not being set back into case by hitting feed ramp or chamber lead. Straightened mag lips & increased up angle of cartridge nose then tweaked mag follower for solid retention. Tried to rock full mag of cartridges & just 3. Experimented with Walther P38 & P1, S&W M39, Colt 1911-70 38super & 9mm. Have never had a issue with round ball or flat faced ball bullets. Use RCBS dies and crimp not carbide. Started doing neck size only found later works better. Hope this gives help and some insight. Best of Luck. Cheers!!!
I haven't sprung for it yet. I went down the sig M18 route instead, and have been very pleasantly surprised. Also have been looking very seriously at the Springfield hellcat pro with manual safety.
Interesting. I have two 9mm handguns with single stack mags. One is very picky about what ammo is used, the other is not.
I think if we could get the ammunition and chambers made into parallel walls, we might not have any picky 9mm guns before long.

Interesting, but luckily Tisas also sells double stack 1911s for great prices so we can have our cake and eat it too.
