We are talking about the comic iterations. The comic is very different from the show. Black Noir is the one that has hurt him
Superman was in fact trained in martial arts by batman and wonder woman and learned kryptonian martial marts, so yeah he's very proficient in hand to hand. Superman's love for Lois is actually one of his greatest strengths and has been the driving force for some of his greatest feats. Kryptonite wouldn't really help homelander either, superman once fought a doomsday while doomsday had evolved to have kryptonite bones. If superman needs to he can power through kryptonite, even become immune to it if he absorbs enough solar radiation. Superman's mental blocks and desire to not hurt anyone cause him to hold back a lot, though there is a comic where he tries to get past this. Zack Snyder's movies actually did the best in showing how powerful superman is and got him the closest to his comic book strength.

A small correction: Superman is not "vulnerable to magic". If his physical attributes are gamed, he basically has physical defense that cannot be quantified and can only be marked as "plot required", and his magic defense is roughly the same as that of ordinary people.
This obviously does not affect his HP, which is also "plot required". And as long as the yellow main sequence star is still radiating to him, his HP recovery speed is also "plot required".
Oh, one more thing, how effective most of Superman's weaknesses are is actually a "plot required". He is so OP that the story cannot be told without a lot of "plot required factor" to weaken him.

Heck I once made the case that Super Grover could manage to take Homelander, and he's about the only Superman stand-in character that's physically weaker than the guy, except for his super durability and super speed combined managing to put a hole through him.

@@nerddoctors Super Grover's got a legit "one third light speed" feat, and he can tank asteroid hits in space, but his strength's so unreliable he sometimes has issues lifting boxes a kid could pick up. I kind of think it would be hilarious to see a cute muppet successfully putting soap in Homelander's mouth with the guy having no way to hurt him.

Before he was finished, Lois, Jimmy, and his parents may also have been krispy crittered as well!
