@@CasosEnVideo Great band documentary if you haven't seen it. Has Howard and Adam laughing about having a "war" with another band publicly, but behind the scenes they were great friends. They started pranking each other at the end of their sets which devolved into them hitting WWE finishers on each other up until someone actually got injured.

I’m positive Howard Jones has one of the cleanest, smoothest, most buttery sounding voice in metal. Especially hardcore. Guy’s voice could smooth over the Israel-Palestinian conflict.

Howard wasn't the original vocalist for KSE but he made it to what it is today. Howard's voice is very power which made him a legend in the metal industry, ask any metal fan who has never heard of KSE but they will know his voice

This is absolutely one of my favorite songs by Killswitch, Howard's voice is fucking amazing. He's in a new band called Light the Torch with a song The Safety of Disbelief that's fantastic. I'm really glad you appreciate his singing.

I gotta tell you... about 7 years ago my grandmother passed away and in that time I was serving temporarly the army; and they didn't allowed me to go to her funeral. I was so depressed; and then a very friend of mine showed that song... and I cried a lot and I remebered her so much.

The live version from "Set This World Ablaze" DVD makes this song so much better especially when the crowd sings along and Adam's antics.

This was on the first Resident Evil movie soundtrack. It's how i found KsE and i haven't stopped being a fan since. This song is amazing and still easily one of my favorites. You can argue about the radio edit and all that. But without it, i would never started listening to KsE.. So it sounds fine with me even though i prefer the album version.
I loved the Howard era of this band. End of Heartache and As Daylight Dies were PHENOMENAL. Glad you like him! Also, in agreement with everyone else who has posted - check out the album version of this song rather than the radio edit

I think Howard has a very emotionally heavy vocal style. Has the power but also the emotion and feeling in his voice.
And that's why KSE was greatest when Howard sang vocals.

Check out Phil Anselmo of the band Pantera. His cleans are very clean, but his growls are gritty as f*ck. (Also, check out Alice In Chains, too - they don't use any growls, but they're along the same lines, melodically, in my opinion - metal with a touch of melody.) (Sorry that I responded to your comment after 2 years; I just found it. 😅)
I don't care who knows it the first time I heard kse I cried the voice the guitar the drums it's everything I grew up with and what we all always wanted metal to be.

i cant hear the record black flame anymore ... i saw them this year 3 times live and they only play this record ... no song from portraits, 1 song from union of crowns, 1 song from runes and 2 songs from earthbound and 10 songs from black flame ... as much as i like black flame, this is no fan service

I haven’t seen anyone request “eye of the storm”... probably my favorite song from the Howard era... “numbered days” from the first Jesse era... and “no end in sight” from the current Jesse era.
Fun fact: Adam was the guy who produced Parkway Drive, and brought them touring. So there's a direct link from KSE to PwDr.
Alex, you definitely need to hear the original album version of this song. This version is the one that was featured on one of the Resident Evil soundtracks and took away more of Howard's scream that were prevalent on the original album version.
