Hey I'm reaching out for video reactions I believe you have the channel that is perfect for my music I also hit your email and Instagram 😂 let me know the bizz and let's work
@leileyaravencroft except that Howard's screams are way better and harsher and more of a SCREAM than David's "screaming/yelling". But yeah I get what you mean, both are great singers/vocalists and greatly trained
I can’t remember what exact video but he literally says everyone always thinks/says he has opera background but he has none whatsoever. It may have been on one of Jared dines videos but I could be wrong
Howard WAS Killswitch for a lot of us. Dude knows exactly how to reach that spot in our souls. His current project with Jarod Dines is pretty good too, Sion. He’s still got that killer voice.
@@TheSoberDoc_ My dad took me to see them live in 2009 & I knew nothing about the band. They played Rose of Sharyn live. My dad passed in 2021 & I cannot listen to Rose of Sharyn anymore without crying a river because of that memory with him. The song has so much emotion it's crazy.
Kill switch with Howard is peak. The end of heartache album is their greatest work. Howard is amazing on vocals combined with Adam D’s guitar stylings, they are unstoppable.
Leech and jones are both amazing. Saw KSE with light the torch last year in Detroit….Jones came out and did all his bangers and gave leech a break then they did signal fire…. I about died from joy….
@@raymondharnack4160 I last KSE live when Howard still fronted. I would absolutely die if I could see both him and Jesse perform together, especially The Signal Fire.
Their concerts sound exactly like this, one of the few bands that can pull off the actual recording quality in their live shows! ...and added bonus mosh pits 🔥
Killswitch Engage while Howard was still in the band was my very first concert ever back in 2009 & my intro into metalcore. The show was absolutely incredible. I had not heard of them before going to the concert, but man they put on such a memorable show that I will NEVER forget it. Howard to this day remains my favorite vocalist to exist in the metalcore scene. The End of Heart Ache, As Daylight Days, and their Second self-named Album that he helped create when he was in the band all have a very very very important place in my heart.
Saw them live three times 2008-2010. They were one of the best live bands I've ever seen. Howard Jones has such an incredible presence and energy live.
they let me and my friends into their show in Winnipeg in like 2007 because we brought a copy of a goofy ass horror movie they loved. good dudes, and great music. thanks for checking them out
I've listened to this song a thousand times and this is the first time I've heard the radio edit. Like other comments suggest.. it's missing so much of the soul and pain of the original.
Man, you are missing out by not catching the live version of this. Not just because you can see me in the crowd, but because it was amazing!!!!!! One of the best recorded shows I have ever heard.
I love this band so much…They are so much fun to watch live! I got to meet their guitar player Adam D and he was such a nice guy to all the fans that waited after the show to meet them! Great band and a total class act!
I saw them back in 2008 (I think?) with the sickest lineup I've ever had at any concert I've ever been to. It was Chimaira, Lacuna Coil, Killswitch Engage, and the headliner was Disturbed. Bar none, best concert I've ever been to. And that's saying a lot considering I've been to a lot more concerts since then and it still tops my list. lol.
I attended their concert in 2019 in London but with Jesse as their frontman... Their live stages can't be explained, you just have to be there to experience the energy they have as a group, the way the fans react to the songs, etc. But one thing I can say is that I never thought when I first listened to them while watching Resident Evil, that they could be this amazing live! Howard was, is, and will forever be such an integral part of the group, whether he is there singing or not, it doesn't matter. He is super dope and such a talented vocalist!
My first concert was headlined by Killswitch Engage and All That Remains and Bury Your Dead at a small venue in Colorado Springs called the Black Sheep. It was a dope experience. Bury Your Dead had some insane stage presence back then too, definitely should check out their live dvd "Bury Your Dead Alive" when you get the chance. It really highlights how energetic a lot of these shows were back then.
Even though I loved hearing Jesse coming back to KSE, Howard holds a special place, he is just a GOAT, amazing vocals, energy and feelings. Everytime I listen to Howard, I just get goosebumps for how good he is
Howard Jones is one of the Singers of our era. He's no longer in the band, but from that álbum "this is absolution" is another gem. You should listen "Drown" from one of his new bands Sion. Howard never dissapoints. 🖤
Ive seen these guys 3 times live, the first time I accidently got caught in a quick forming pit and I got knocked out and they stopped the show to carry me out :P I got free tickets for their next show they did and that was the 2nd time I got to see them! :) Their shows are INSANE! and they sound JUST as good live!
In 2018, I saw them twice in one year! This is actually a watered down version of the song but it’s still lit. Their concerts though, are absolutely amazing and energetic!
I’ve seen KSE live a handful of times and they never disappoint. Howard Jones is also incredibly kind and appreciative to his fans, especially if you get the chance to speak to him personally. He definitely knows how to handle a crowd as well, and he welcomes and encourages crowd participation. The live version of this song gives a good glimpse into that aspect of their live performances as the crowd joins together to sing along with him. Anytime you’re in an audience like that the feeling is electric as you all come together as one voice led by Howard. I honestly can’t say enough nice things about them. They’re one of my favorite bands of all time.
I saw them last year for Metal Blade Anniversary here in Vegas and they were really good. Had a huge mosh pit that got out of hand. The guitar player got off stage and walk himself to the bar while still playing and got himself a beer and walk back to the stage. He is know for doing that. They dont have that singer anymore. They got their old singer back but even still they put on a great show.
I love the song. That being said, I have not seen the reaction yet. I am commenting before watching it. I just wanted to point out that there is multiple versions of the same song off of the album versus at the end of resident evil Apocalypse versus one additional version all outside of live that has nuanced differences. I’m a big fan of the song so I wanted to comment before I get into it. 😅
I've seen them live. It was incredible, and this song in particular- at times, the crowd was louder than the band, singing along. That's saying something at a metal show, where it's so loud you have to scream as loud as you can directly in your friend's ear if you need to tell them something.
The fact the video came with the all clean vocals always annoyed me. Helps push mainstream appeal maybe, but Howard’s maybe got the best scream in metal history.
Vibrato not Bravado. I made the same mistake awhile back haha. They were part of the first show I ever went to which was when this song was new, shit was wild.
I saw them on the Taste of Chaos tour twice back in like '04 or '05! it was amazing! Howard sounds AMAZING live! He was able to pick up where Jesse left off perfectly with the band! I love the Howard Jones Era! The crowd was intence, I lost my shoe in the pit and fell down and my budy had to drag me out while I dragged my shoe out with my bare foot! We strapped back up and went right back in! Those were good times!
Can confirm, they're concerts are insane! Our crowd knocked over a whole Rockstar Energy Float that the venue had the misfortune of placing in the middle of the grass pit haha
Howard Jones had one of the smoothest voices in the game. I know he’s doing a new project now, it’s not exactly my style, but dude is one of my favorites in this genre.

I saw them in 2005, at a venue in our small town midway between Sacramento and Portland that held maybe 300 people. They were the headliners and local bands opened for them. KSE sounds exactly like what you hear in this, except more energy. You don't just hear them you feel them. Adam, the one with the big "chops"...he can really rial the crowd. They ended their set with "Holy Diver".
Hello there Mr. LayedBakDFR. First off, congratulations on 2.53 million subscribers. Well done! This is honestly the first time I've come across your channel, and it was a thrill to watch this video. I was rocking out right along side you. I've been a big fan of Killswitch Engage for over 20 years at this point. I've seen them in concert several times, and yes, it's an amazing, crazy, and LOUD show every single time. The guys have written a ton of great songs over the years (fun fact: Adam, one of the guitar players, attended the Berklee School of Music in Boston). I'm glad you enjoyed "The End of Heartache." It's one of the band's best known songs and is a concert staple. Howard Jones is a fantastic singer, no question about it. He left Killswitch Engage back in 2012 due to health reasons (he has type 2 diabetes), but he and the band members are all good friends to this very day. He is still active in the music industry, and last I knew, he was in a band called Light the Torch. Rock on buddy! \m/ \m/
Been to a Killswitch Engage concert back in the day when this Album came out. It was one of the absolute best Rock/metal shows I've ever been to. Their stage performance was S tier, singing on point and overall vibe was off the rails!
really wish ur first experience with this song was the live version or the album version…to answer your question…seeing them live is exactly as incredible as you would expect
Probably the best concert I've been to. Up by the stage isnt for the faint of heart. It gets rowwwwwdyyy. The only way i can describe it, is it feels like getting pushed around by ocean waves, except the waves are people. I Introduced my friend to crowd surfing for the first time, and we were on the front line for the "wall of death" (the crowd gets split down the middle, and just charges, braveheart style, when the song drops.) during Rose of sharyn. Howard stage dived and my friend and I caught him. During their first song Adam popped right up to us on the front row and just said so nonchalantly "Whats up? How yall doin?", and made similar small talk throughout the whole show. Unforgettable night. Memories that'll last a lifetime.
Killswitch is easily one of my favorite bands. Howard has such a powerful voice. Jessie is great too. You should check out signal fire where Howard comes and rejoins the band in a guest spot.
Their concerts are epic! The original singer (Jesse) is back with them now but if you catch them up in Boston usually Howard comes out as a guest to sing as well.
I went to there concert like 10 plus years ago and the lead singer jumped off the 15ft tall speakers into the crowd, I have never seen another singer do something that crazy. It took him a hot minute to get back on the stage.😊
I remember my first time hearing this song and seeing the video i realized it wasnt weird for me to be african american and like this type of music because of the lead singer can be african American and have crazy vocals and sing amazingly there must be a reason this music resonates with me so well...ill just say i havent missed a beat with my favorite kinds of rock metal etc at 26 cant wait for my son to get here and i can share it with him
The back-up singer of Alice In Chains (William Duvall) is African-American, and the female lead singer of Straight Line Stitch (Alexis Brown) is African-American, too. Also, I'm just saying, but I'm half-white and half-black; so what the f*ck do I listen to, according to these stupid rules? Just listen to whatever you want, and if it's metal? Then rock on. 🤟
@@Hollyucinogenalso Byron from God Forbid is black and he sings crazy metal. I think Will Ramos from Lorna Shore is half black too. What does it matter anyone's skin colour? Metal is a feeling, anyone can relate to it.
KSE is one of if not the best concerts I’ve ever seen! They are so freaking good! They not only go nuts onstage and put on a killer show, but the absolute incredible tones, audio quality and technical skill live is almost second to none.
Thank you for being true to music reactions layedbak. This is an age when YOUR one of the one music reactors left among a lot of defectors (yes many creators that used to do music reactions have stopped altogether, Which annoys the hell outta me) your basically the ONLY reaction dude I listen to regularly now. ❤
Jesse leach ( their OG/Current vocalist ) is great but howard jones is legendary. And im sure jesse would agree. Howard took Killswitch to another level.
Omg bro, I haven’t seen you in a minute, but uhhh I saw that mf noti AND I HAD TO FUCKIN SEE THIS SHIT. I been in my heavy metal grind after years of rap music, it’s really cool that you are diverse with your taste. For sure you should look into Howard jones more!
Bro I seen them at Kansas City Rock Fest and it was amazing. They jammed out and the crowd was so electric. I've been a fan of theirs for well over a decade.
The first concert I ever went to was the first year they did "Taste of Chaos" back in 2006. Killswitch Engage was the only reason I went and let me tell you...they absolutely killed it. Howard's energy as a front man (especially back then) was the stuff of legends. Dude was doing summersaults on stage and was at 110% for their entire set. It's one of those show I still think about.
The power Howard has in his voice is awesome. He can also sing classical ballads as he was classically trained. The best days of Killswitch Engage when Howard was on vocals 🤘
Watched Killswitch live in London in 2004/5. London's gig/concert halls are very old, made in the 1th century, so you can imagine how the guitars sounded in that little arena. Fortunate to have seen this front man (Howard) before he stepped aside and their original vocalist (Jesse) came back. Personally, I think Howard's natural singing brings that power ballet edge during the chorus;.
This song was so legendary in 2006. EVERYONE and their mama wanted to go see them live because of this song. And when they did it was like the Roman coliseum.
I saw KSE live in a venue in Nashville. Imagine the hair on your arms standing straight up, sweat pouring off your face, you’ve lost your voice and you’re exhausted at the end from celebrating each song they sing. Yeah. That was me and that’s what their show is like.
I saw them live back in 2009 at the now defunct Mayhem Festival. When they opened with this song, with that chugging guitar riff, I swear to god I felt the organs in my body *move*. They were louder than fuckin Slayer! It was quite the experience.

Been to their concert back in 2000s, they were everything!
I've seen Killswitch twice. Both were awesome shows...but when this came on the whole venue goes wild singing along.
If you want to see what a concert looks like check out the live version of this song on the set the world a blaze tour
I remember God Forbid being all black guys. Dont forget Living Color with their hit "Cult of Personality" from the early 90s
I went their concert, Met Adam D too. I was stoked! Had such a good time, I'll never forget it!
You’ve opened up a rabbit hole. Lol you gotta check out more from these guys, you will NOT be disappointed once.
Yo this song is fire 🔥🔥🔥 happy you got to experience this song for the first time!!!!
Glad you did this reaction,I love this band and this song so much 🤟💥😘🔥
Rose of Sharyn is also a great display of Howard's voice!
They are AMAZING live, one of the very best I’ve ever seen, they sound exactly like this,I love Killswitch
Their concerts are absolutely a wall of amazingly powerful music. Power and Melody collide!
Bro I seen them at Kansas City Rock Fest and it was amazing. They jammed out and the crowd was so electric. I've been a fan of theirs for well over a decade.
Love seeing you feeling the music my dude! Love your vids man. Keep em coming. Much love, brother
Yea saw them at house of blues Houston and they’re phenomenal. Unfortunately Howard had already left the band 😢
I remember subscribing to a NF video way before you had maybe even 100K subs. This is crazy you're at the numbers you are now. Love this song BTW.
The power Howard has in his voice is awesome. He can also sing classical ballads as he was classically trained.
The best days of Killswitch Engage when Howard was on vocals 🤘
They are AMAZING live! It's one of the best shows I've ever seen!!!! Every member is steller in their own regards!!! ❤❤❤
One of my favorite reactors doing one of my favorite KSE songs? Here for it. I'm liking the shorter format on the videos, too.
I’ve seen them live and yeah they’re amazing. They always have such good energy.
You actually need to react to the Live version of this. His vocal range and the crowd control he has is amazing.
I saw KSE live in a venue in Nashville. Imagine the hair on your arms standing straight up, sweat pouring off your face, you’ve lost your voice and you’re exhausted at the end from celebrating each song they sing. Yeah. That was me and that’s what their show is like.
Pass like a mf, his deep ass voice is exactly what I need sometimes.
They have a bunch of live videos, but their live "set the world a blaze" from 05 was amazing. Still one of best live shows I've been to.
I saw them a few times and have to say that each time they sounded amazing live!
Glad to see you're doing good. I hadn't seen any paranormal reactions this week. We were worried about ya! 😊
I saw them live back in 2009 at the now defunct Mayhem Festival. When they opened with this song, with that chugging guitar riff, I swear to god I felt the organs in my body *move*. They were louder than fuckin Slayer! It was quite the experience.
The concerns are kick ass they sound superb 👌 and talk about getting the crowd pumped. A ton of energy 💪
Their concerts are intense. Definitely the best word to describe them. I originally saw them in 2005 at a relatively small venue too 🤘
