I think people are missing that this song was *made* specifically for the Death Stranding soundtrack, which overall features a lot of songs that use mellow synth beats and is meant to be more atmospheric. It may sound weird next to the rest of their stuff but if you listen to the full soundtrack it fits in perfectly.

he can't scream for long periods, he completely destroyed his vocal chords, and even if he didn't scream, he isn't even the best vocalist in the band atm, he gets out sung at every live show
One thing I've noticed with vocalists of metal-turn-rock bands is that they scream like vocalists from bands who have always been rock (i.e. not very well), rather than maintaining their metal screaming technique. Might be lack of practice, lack of heart, or lack of ability in the case of Oli. Doesn't make them any worse, but does make me cringe a bit.

BMTH has been a lot of years with me by this time in bad and good moments, whatever they drop usually makes me happy, the first time I listened to this song I knelt down when the breakdown came because was like this song combined everything I like about this dudes, and was completely unexpected, it was catchy, poppy and heavy as well so I felt it going right through ma feelings
And by the way if you want to go to their heavy side you can try with songs like: Suicide Season, Chelsea Smile, Medusa, The Comedown, Diamonds aren't forever, and even it never ends or the house of wolves
But I truly recommend you 3 in particular and those are from the Royal Albert Hall concert with and orchestra:
Sleepwalking, Can You Feel My Heart and Doomed those 3 are the best thing I have heard from a BMTH concert, the orchestra fits perfectly alongside the songs an the choir voices sound sooo damn good

Surprised your jus now coming around to BMTH. They started out as a deathcore band and changed their sound gradually over time, hitting everything between, and now are more of a pop rock mixture. Obviously the screaming is still present though.
