Ian Pooley a one of a kind producer--- 10 outta 10 , been a fan ever since his first music came out
Ian Pooley is a legend
I am a HUGE fan of Ian Pooley's music, for a decade an a half at least. Maybe 20 years. His refusal to separate techno and house music influences has been very impressive over the years. His work stands as top quality in any genre that people put it in. I actually found this video while showing a 24 year old intern at my small label his music.. Thank you very much Telekom Electronic Beats for creating and uploading this video. Top content, top artist. I subscribed! - RF

Rennie Foster True indeed!💯🎶
Rennie Foster I just wanted to write this comment but.... It’s already out! Love YT, the producers and the music
Rennie Foster Well put my man. You're not related to Ronnie Foster by any chance?
This man would be so satisfying to watch on an eurorack
I used to Ian Pooley like crazy back in 2001. Glad to see that he's still doing his thing
My first vinyl i bought was from Ian Pooley. Mid 90s
The man...one of the legends of dance music
This guy is pure gold.
Big fan since Daft Punks Homework years. Pooley's music has always made such an impact on me for inspiration. His House productions always stood tall during my DJ days with his unique sound of techno, underground house and even samba/jazz influence. Thanks for this vid. Awesome!
here you can see his studio secret weapon ruclips.net/video/M7vucJF9zDg/видео.html
Time to get down on this...Love his set up and philosophy on making music. Can't wait to dive deep in his discog
I love this guy. Very inspirational !
Thank you very much! One of my favorites producers!
“I don’t have much effects”
Walks over to rack with 15k worth of rack FX
Gerald Good III Yeah amazing gear but at least his music is very good so it’s not wasted.
he does say he has a lot of effects 5:20
He said "looks like I don't have much effects, but I have quite a few".
That Soundcraft Ghost is the MVP with that British Q and enough inputs to run his gear. Love his workflow. Miss my MPC -60 II
this is equipment paradise ...he's having a tone of it
what a lovely studio!
Such a genius! god bless this extraordinary man!

Mein persönlicher Held ! Lieber Ian, danke für die letzten 20+ Jahre Hörgenuss ! Mach weiter so, hoffentlich sieht man sich nochmal in Wolkramshausen ...
Great feature. Quality + Content. Hell yeah.
No Ian, in your case it’s not called being old school. It’s called being a legend.
ian pooley is a real dude
The man!
I know computers very well, been using them since the 1980's (million dollar main frames) for graphic design. I repair and maintain computers for my design customers today as an additional service.....BUT....I don't use computers for recording music. Just like Ian, I am hardware person, hardware has dedicated operating systems that function almost perfect, and are dedicated to a specific device. Since ditching the computer for recording tracks my creativity and production has increased 100's of times, and the tactile use of hardware is very rewarding and never stressful. I have been looking for more than my ZoomR24 recorder for controlling the music production, namely need to sync in MIDI, and for the future, CV. I am taking a hard look at the new Akai MPC for the control center of my studio.
Look at Synthstrom Deluge.
oh the 3000....the holy grail of music machines
Incredible talent

Ian Pooley is one of the greatest DJ's ever. Saw him when i first got into house music back in Irving Plaza in new york. Best set to date.
Out of all of this gear, I would really like to know more about that slipmat! Anyone know??
Don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing
Ian, the swing on the MPC 3000 is the same on every instrument that swings. It's math. Sorry. This is coming from Roger Linn. The creator of the MPC3000.
There must be a reason why so many prefer the MPC swing from old machines. As long as the magic works it doesn’t really matter.
@@ElectronicBeatsTV I agree with you, fully. Go with what works. But my MPC60 swings like my Cirklon2. If you dump the MIDI data from both into a DAW and stretch out the tracks equally to see the finest PPQN timing idiosyncrasies - they match up perfectly. There must be something else going on that inspires these artists to have a choice when it comes to the 'feel'. Paula, the firmware developer for Isla Instruments who wrote the swing algorithm for the S2400 as well as Roger Linn have repeated the notion that swing is the same and can be easily re-created. But I DO agree with you - go with it if it aids your art, placebo or real! Maybe it's processor duty cycle latency or something else. I'd love to know.
💯
