I love how he just throws random anecdotes in like - if there's a flood it's fine because I threw it into a pool in Ibiza once - then just carries on haha
Right? Like I wanted to know wtf happened in Ibiza.
This is how every producer/DJ should be. Love his spirit. The part where his says simplicity is the key then goes down an expensive hardware rabbit hole is comedy gold.
That "I don't know what to play" on the piano got me in tears in like 2 seconds. True inspiring artist, and how much I love his attitude!! A rare human being.
Such a crazy and humble person 🤗 always very inspiring 🙏
Absolutely!
Who is he? Producer for Bonfante?
We decided to revisit Stimming's setup since his original How I Play was so popular. This time, he took us into his studio to check out his wild studio collection, share how he transforms this studio setup for live perfomance, and a peek at his "instant mastering chain".
that's because at youtube was recommending the og video like crazy.
@J hey, its sennheiser IE500
Always a show to watch Stimming explaining something.
I am pretty sure it would be most entertaining to watch him explaining a telephone book. 🙂👍
I don't know how to explain it, but Stimming to music is, what Bob Ross is to painting.
Sums it up perfectly! 😊
Did opening for him 2019 in Jakarta, very humble person, love his music and the way he build the flow
One of the best in game! And has always been way ahead of his time. Amazing producer.
honestly not many ppl are on the same level Stimming is at. to be able to musically control all these intricate gear and perform live with them. luckily you don't have to be this good to pull off a good set. the key takeaway is always use what you have and really learn it inside out. practice and prepare!
Actually homie, this is one of the more basic levels.
Exactly. The quality is most important
@PEPE EL MACHO
thats not entirely true. i personally find that smaller hardware comes at a design cost, that being a compromise of needing to learn tons of shift commands and menu dive. therefore i am not entirely sure by what you mean when you refer to this setup as "more basic" its actually probably overly complicated, and makes me think that you either own a ton of modular gear routed all over the place, but more than likely dont produce anything with hardware. there is nothing wrong with OPs statement. he is absolutely correct, you essentially do need to learn the intricacies of your gear to do anything at all smoothly live, and the gear that stimming is using isnt necessarily easier to perform with by any means.
oh i get it youre a troll. sorry, im 34
@@lonelymusic8607 A certain type of troll that realizes stimming doesn't make super complicated music. Choose your gear wisely, because you can make this type of stuff on almost any piece of gear or ableton.
I learned so many things from you over the years. Thank you so much, Stimming ! ❤️
Always nice to hear what he is up to. Thanks for posting this. 🙏🏻
Totally enjoyed learning about your workflow and how you play. Thank you so much for putting this together.
Stimming is a really special and fun human :)) great music and attitude. Not to forget the knowledge and astounding skills.
Great to see Stimming in any video.
Best move I ever made musically was to use a live performance setup to compose tracks. Now performance IS production and I'm 10x more productive. 👍
Same here! I made a 12 song live set in 2 weeks, now to make finished songs of them is gonna be boring, i want to keep playing and twist knobs :D
And, I expect, alot more interesting to watch live.
Agreed!
Thank you so much! Now, I have my own Stimming shaker sample library. 🙂
Absolutely love his passion! And super stoked to know its not just me who loves a flight case / pelican case. (I think it evokes mystery of the contents within them. Especially if you've ever travelled/toured with kit.)
Gained a new fan. Great series.
Now I am off to even try to learn about what some of that kit even is!
such a freakkin LEGEND this guy
Great person, having so much fun with his music ❤
Yesss! Everything Martin is always great!
The best in your studio is that wallpaper - instant retro feel.
"I love granular so much" Stimming, 2022
Gotta love his energy :D
Fantastic, love the specular tempus reverb too, such a defined & stunning reverb it is.
Unique setup. Love it.
Love the video. Thanks for sharing this awesome information
Very nice peek into Stimmigs process.
Man I love this guy!
Love this guy!
im here to see what the legend is doing... one of my favorite artists ~
lol love this guy always very straight forward honest and super informative.
Lovely inspiration!
I am not too crazy about Martin's music, or even his gear... BUT: I really like his attitude towards things and also how he explains why he does stuff. Even if I would not do this myself, too. He is a very honest and intelligent human being imho.
Very interesting, thanks for sharing this! I love that it’s still very portable
I love this soft, deep kick
So interesting and inspiring approach towards effective workflow and spacial ergonomics
So long overdue... thanks DJTT ✌😎
Thank you for stayin' locked in :)
@@djtechtools what did I win
Thanks, that was great.
didn't know stimming was such a nice guy haha!! what a legend!!
Interesting hybrid set up you have there, thanks for the show.
The man's a music tech maniac,,& I like it 🎛🎚!
Sounds amazing
I would love to use that instant mastering chain someday, I have been a long time fan of Stimming and inspired by all the cool things he does :D
I think you should visit him very often... and we would like it very, very much!
He's awesone and very inspiring 😎
Luv it.
The Gr-1 is really nice.❤️✌️
My hero, right here
Those Pandora boxes!!! WOW!
The chewing gum shaker presented without even flinching 😅
Great work.Stimming always cheers me up with his , not so serious way of working.
The Piano sounds wonderful...well aged
Informative video. Its help me to understand what dj tools should i watch
Miss these segments!!
Genius.
This is great
thx DJ TT
high level compositions
Good to see we have the same taste in gear 👍🏻 I have the same printer.
Very cool stuff to get an insight and a tour. I'm very curious to how that Chinese synth sounds like!
Also: I didn't knew Bitwig was touchscreen friendly
Stimming brought me to buy and use a wacom tablet to use with Bitwig. It works after some messing with the options, But i am nowhere near to his level of control and fluid usage. Mr Stimming is a real master of this.
Hehe, that synth pro, you made me buy it Stimming, and i too cant seem to let go of it.
Thank you for using your fantastic remix of "Cyborgs Like Unicorns, too" for this video, Stimming!
It´s a very interesting insight into your setup. And long live the granular synthesis :)
pleasure
Nice tune
Love to hear him on piano.
Right??
Mega ich habe dich gestern gesehen..und gehört... here alle was ich gestern wissen wollte😅 thanx
Stimming. Take whats inside the pelicase and make a nasty techno liveact with it. It has the perfect Ingredients. Maybe add the Blackbox for livelooping clips. I know it would be insane.
Esse sintetizador granular é qualquer coisa de maravilhoso 🎹🎛️😍
Yah, that thing is the machine of granulars, totally understand why its there
Im very inspired by the sounds of the chewing gum
absolutely crazy. but sometimes I don't really want to know how to produce some hits today. it would be funny lots of how to play to update from traktor user. it would quickly become clear how many well-known artists have left traktor.
Awsome man
@Djtechtools.. how you mean winning haha
@Djtechtools..i mean im interested in a dj controller if am really win one 🤷♂️🎶😇
Gr1 ❤️
This man is king of the gas pimps
#djtechtools finally again a video about how I play 👌🏻
i wish i could Like this video more than once
感谢您无私的分享😀
One of the most talented producers of our time imo
Great
Do you send your whole chain through the tempus or just individual synths and samples?
Two things is connetc me to DJTT... Midi fighters and HOW I PLAY series... I love you guys!
@Djtechtools.. Every item which has knobs, buttons, cables will be accepting and appreciating 🤩I have already sleeping with my midi fighters and analog devices Thank U.🙏🎉🎉🎉
@Djtechtools.. Fake account.
did Manther updated their firmware, so the faders don't 'jump' in their positions? out of curiosity question...:)
Does anyone know what stands he is using to hold his little machines above his desk? Looks like a really nice desktop stand setup at just the right angle... Would love to get this!
that tasty chips gr1 is a beast. i promised myself i would buy one when i saw one come on the second hand market. ive let 2 pass me by so far without buying but im determined to get one.
I have one, it's pretty damn cool. I have the much less expensive Lemondrop as well, which is not bad at al either, especially since it weighs almost nothing.
homemade coffee tin shakers are the best (X_^). Over half your gear is on my drool list.
Really interesting. I wasn’t aware you could use Bitwig with a touchscreen interface. That could potentially be a very intuitive way to work.
Looking at a screen that size would destroy my eyes and drive me crazy. 😂
I wonder - what lavalier microphone are you using?
I don’t think it matters that much in most cases and for most purposes the way that electronic producers use them for sampling and talking etc. The type and quality only starts to matter for people recording acoustic instruments in high definition in my experience. For myself, I use a DPA 4060 for such purposes and it’s great.
how do you learn to play piano like that :0 I know how scales work, but have no idea how to run chords like that
He is such a nice guy isn’t he
How does he use the headphones for live performances and most importantly how does he protect his ears from kabel breakages or something like that? Im working on an iem system for a small dawless setup right now and cant really find a workaround this problem.
His accent is like German silk. I wish they had a GPS that had his voice: You are going zee vrong vay!
Does anybody know which is the name of the case he opens at around 11:00?
Is stimming recording his real instruments with neumann u87 microphone? Thank you!
Will you play in Barcelona?
I´m a simple man. I see a Sinee Institute coffee mug, I press like.
i was just thinking today how lucky i was to have a bitbox in my eurorack...
Can someone elaborate more on the mobile mastering chain?
No elektron in sight 😎😎
elektrons always hiding somewhere!

❤️
Martin!!!!... du hast nen WingPinger.. wir müssen reden ;)
Doctron doa preamps kann ich nicht finden. Anyone an idea?
